Palmers Fresh Grill Ratings and Reviews
Very nice for the most part. Excellent food, fairly quick service. One issue was atmosphere, it was very clearly mostly couple's going for a late Valentine's meal, but there was a table of what appeared to be high school boys who were screaming and cursing and being obnoxious. Obviously I'm not saying they should have been turned away, but I feel like the staff should have told them to please quiet down. It's hard to have a romantic dinner when a child is throwing the "F bomb" out every few minutes a couple feet behind you.
The service was great and the food very good. Wife had to send chop back for more cooking. The menu has changed since our last visit and has fewer fish dishes, but more of other things. Shrimp lettuce wraps were messy, but tasty. Overall a very nice Valentines Day meal with my wife.
Delicious, I had the Grilled Salmon Salad, the salad is huge filled with the freshest lettuces and tomatoes, but the size of the salmon filet is the largest portion in the city, I bought half of it home for lunch the next day. The service was outstanding
Overall the food and our waiter were good. However the service was incredibly slow. From the time we placed our order it took them an hour and 15 minutes to deliver our meal to us. I'm guessing there were "some issues" in the kitchen. We'll go back to Palmers because the food and value are usually very good. I'm just hoping they can work out their "food-to-table" issues
We again, chose Palmers for our birthday dinners. Since our birthdays are on consecutive days it is great to have a destination that pleases both of us. We invited good friends to go and they were all to happy to do so. The food was very good though my wife's had a bit too much garlic for her taste. Just a very enjoyable experience. Our waiter was very attentive though not too much so. We plan to visit again soon as there are many events that we choose to celebrate at Palmers.
I had only been to Palmer's once before several years ago, but it was just for a quick business lunch. My husband and I recently went for a brunch date and it was lovely. The decor and atmosphere is very calming, especially being by the water on a Sunday in winter. The brunch was way better than I had expected and I would highly recommend the waffles. Our server came by a little too much, but it's hard to mind someone that friendly just trying to make sure you're having a good time.
Great choice for a date or special brunch!
Rather noisy but bustling and the food never disappoints. Pretzel crusted trout, meatloaf sliders, tower of fire (onion rings), whatever, you can't go wrong. Not the most generous pour in town but the prices are so reasonable just ask for a double. Fun indoors and even better when the weather is right for dining outside by the lake. Live music on the weekends in the summer. Great spot.
I could have selected more of the items above, but I did not specifically seek them out. For instance, I saw there was "bar seating", but since I didn't sit at the bar, I didn't select it.
The food was absolutely amazing. The only reason the service did not get 5 stars, is because it took a little while to get our check. Everything else was fantastic!
We will try it again in the Spring with warm weather supporting the outdoor seating.
We ate dinner inside the restaurant, although there was a band playing in the lobby. Although pricey, we had exceptional service and excellent food.
After dinner we had another glass of wine while we listened to the band. It is a very nice touch since it is getting too cold to have music outside.
This was the perfect place for our first anniversary! My girlfriend and I loved our choices and the fact they had a virgin menu (we are both under 21) that didn’t slack on flavor or variety! What’s a fancy dinner without a mixed drink??
We are already planning our next group outing with my sister. She’s dying to try the Gouda mac and she will not be disappointment.
