Such great service, they were attentive and so friendly, they even immediately brought a water bowl out for my dog. Came out and put leis around us.
The food was delicious too - ordered the Fried Rice Stuffed Pineapple, and it was made well! A bit of a wait, but it was fairly busy and on a Saturday morning.
It’s my second time here. I love the Hawaiian ambience of this restaurant. The outdoor space is as beautiful as the indoor one. Food is good, and service great. I think it’s a happy place both for Sunday brunch and dinner.
Our service was terrible. We waited over 30 minutes for our drinks and 45 minutes for food. The tables around us, including a four top who sat almost 30 minutes later got their food at the same time. Server never addressed it.
The waiter is awesome in figuring out how to incorporate our birthday celebration even though I’d forgotten to mention it to the hostess. Fun place with a lively crowd!
Palm house is great. Good service, consistently solid food, fun drinks, and a fun atmosphere. Perfect spot for a larger group of friends to have dinner and drinks on the weekend.
Super cute and not terribly expensive brunch! The neighborhood is super fun and lively.
Such a great spot to bring friends, family or guests. The food is incredible.
She gave us ducks
Noise was horrific
Dan and Collin were absolutely great hosts. I brought a friend here for a birthday with a group and she had a wonderful time!
A very festive warm place. The staff is wonderful! The service is well done. The drinks are very well presented and good. The food is not impressive but adequate.
We had a great time! We loved our chipotle mango margaritas and appreciated the happy hour price point!
Love this restaurant. The ambiance, food, and service is delicious.
Service & Staff was exceptional & accommodating. Brunch items were unique & tastes with fresh products. String cocktails. Outside brunch dining with pet dog was very comfortable.
Came here on a Saturday night to catch up with a friend. We could barely hear each other even though we were seated away from the bar area. The place was packed with college kids, and the bathroom line (and its cleanliness) was reminiscent of my clubbing days. Food was okay, our server was nice, but I wouldn’t recommend coming here for a chill and quiet dinner. I’d consider coming back but during the day or early dinner.
So amazing! They were so accommodating! 100% recommend for special dinner.
Great food and setting, I think our server was new as she was very slow with everything. She was super sweet but it took her 20 minutes to get 1 latte and then another 20 to close us out. Again, very sweet just new. Over all it was a great brunch with tasty food and great drinks!
The dinner actually started out rather worryingly, but it ended great! We gave our entree-only order to the waitress, and we literally sat for ~40 minutes waiting. The waitress was attentive though, and noticed that we were waiting a long time and gave us complimentary guac and chips. Really sweet. We appreciated this gesture because this literally never happens. Thank you for the consideration.
When the order finally came (60 minute in), however, we received the wrong plate. Service was still wonderful however, and the manager came out himself to apologize for the mishaps and comp us for our dinner. Very friendly, responsive, and the food was AMAZING. Try the Jerk Chicken plate. Its worth it.
The place on a Saturday night is like a fraternity party. If you’re looking to have dinner, go elsewhere.
A "go to" once a week for sure! Been coming here since it was another restaurant and Palm House doesn't disappoint.
Service was truly a mess for lunch service. Not sure if they were short staffed or something, but it was frankly unprofessional
Food was fine. Service was ok. The vibe is a lot of fun.
Great food and overall experience. Service was a bit slow even though it was not busy.
Don't go unless you don't want the be able to hear the person across from you. Food was not good. Interior space is charming but it's ruined by the noise levels and belligerently drunk people at 12pm.
Service the last few times have been extremely slow.
Typically - not a great spot for an evening date. But we made it work:-) great atmosphere for dancing, partying
Nothing really special. More of a place for drinks than food. Food was nothing special at all and for the price... eek.
A lovely day in San Francisco out on the patio
Had a great brunch sitting outside in the warm sun. Enjoyed a tropical punch bowl with our meal. We thought we were in Hawaii :) The service and food were great.
Hostess, wait staff and Manger were very friendly, inviting and helpful. The food was really good, but be sure the prices are within your budget. The cocktails were liked by my whole group
Food was alright, they were out of spam musubi which was a let down. All the other food was pretty mediocre given the price. Go there for the cocktails, those are greay
I was extremely excited to try Palm House because the vibe seemed really cool and the the concept was fun. My boyfriend and I made a reservation for brunch on Sunday, March 24th. The restaurant was not too busy (a reservation was not really needed) and we were seated right away. We were seated in the back - which was very dark compared to the vibrant atmosphere in the front of the house (which had a two-top available) and way too cold (we tried to close the windows; however, they would not close). The menus and water bottle were sticky and there was a lemon seed on one of the preset plates. However, we decided to have an open mind. 20 minutes passed and the only acknowledgement we got was from the host at the time we were seated. 5 employees had looked at our table and had ignored us. Finally, when we were acknowledged it was a rushed, "Hi, has anyone been to your table yet?" When we had said no, she said "okay, I will find your server. Can I get you something to drink?" I was done at the point and was ready to leave; however, we (my boyfriend) decided to give our server a chance. When our server finally came to our table, I noticed she had been waiting on the one other table next to us for the last 20 minutes. I laughed at this. We left and my boyfriend explained to the host what had occurred. A few minutes later, I received an email notification from Open Table stating that we had missed our reservation, which (obviously) was not the case. As one who is in the hospitality industry, I have a high expectation for servers; however, this simply blew my mind. We ended up at Cow Marlowe for brunch and were greeted by 3 different servers within 2 minutes of being seated. Now, that is what I call good service.
I am sure Palm House has great food; however, I was not given the opportunity to order and therefore do not know for myself. I will not be back.
Amazing atmosphere. Mediocre everything else. Slow service and meh food.
Really great food and ambiance. Great place for a night out.
I've been to the Palm House both in the evening with a group and for a Saturday brunch. The atmosphere was relaxed during the day but at night it was a bit clubby, which is totally fine if that's your expectation.
If you like House music club vibes with rum bowls on a Saturday at 11 am - then this place is definitely for you. Good luck getting a drink in under 20 minutes. Food is great, service staff are stellar. But if you have kids or don’t like frat parties, then maybe go during Monday through Friday.
First time at palm house and loved the music , the ambience , food was 👌🏼 And service amazing! Will def be back
Great selection and service
Good place for bar food. Food was very expensive for what we got. So loud we could barely hear one another. Would go back for a snack and drink, but not for dinner.
We made a reservation for 4 during SF Restaurant Week. Upon arrival, we were given our SFRW menus, taken to a table at the back (the main area is extremely loud, so we were grateful for that, at least). When our server came over, she told us that they had unfortunately “sold out” of food for the SFRW menu, took them away from us, and put down their “usual menu.”
We told her that the only reason we had come was for Restaurant Week and the special prix fixe menu that had been developed. I’m not sure how it was possible to be “sold out” for Restaurant Week, but it’s something the management and kitchen should really look into. Although our server tried a half hearted apology, she told us we could just get food for my their menu. We decided to leave and go to a different restaurant.
