Really amazing ambiance and food. Was surprised the place was small but it made for a more intimate dining experience.

I can sum up this restaurant as follows: when a party of four orders the $11 meatball appetizer, they're given three small and dry meatballs.

Service was excellent. Food delicious. The bar followed my instructions exactly (hard to get in Utah - so doubly appreciated).

Great and original food with a local twist. Pretty good value for money for a special occasion. We can highly recommend the carrots (with smokey ricotta), Yukon potatoes, scallops (big portion) and Elk (very tender game with a smokeyness to it).

I really didn’t know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. The food is great and the prices are fair. It may be one of my faves while in SLC on business. I’d definitely recommend you try it.

Pallet was an eclectic environment filled with some cool funkiness in a historic feeling building. The food was top notch and presented very well. My party of 6 all enjoyed our meals and the great conversations we had around our meals.

The Elk was absolutely amazing! The meats on the charcuterie board are very good, but the pickled vegetables served as an option definitely make it!

The food and service was fantastic! The portion sizes between the protein dishes varied wildly--the reason for the 4 star review (the bass was tiny but lamb could serve 2) but we loved the restaurant and would definitely come back.

Pallet was a wonderful find for my colleagues and I. We looked it up on Trip Advisor and it was within walking distance of our hotel. Intimate atmosphere and one of my highlights was real cloth hand towels in the bathrooms. We all had the scallops and they were cooked to perfection. Pallet also had great different and fun cocktails. Highly recommend

Excellent meal. We were at the end of an exhausting vacation trip and as foodies wanted a casual place for a good meal. We found it on Open Table. We had an excellent. Fresh ingredients combined in creative and delicious ways. We were hoping for a good meal but more than we expected and great service.

The food was exceptional and unique. The bartender was happy to substitute lemon juice for the grapefruit juice that was in the cocktail I ordered, since I am not able to have grapefruit. Our waitress was quirky and charming. The vibe and atmosphere was great, cozy, romantic. LOVED it.

Very CREATIVE menu, great service, super wine...the ELK was as good as what I get in Montana! A very UN-UTAH place, which is good! Chill place with no Utah judgement, if you know what I mean?.. We will go back again soon

We were visiting from Philly and had the best meal of our trip here. The neighborhood is suspect but do not be deterred, this is a GEM. We had wonderful Hamachi and farm salad appetizers followed by a perfectly prepared whole brazino and very tasty and well-prepared rack of lamb. The brazino at $29 was a steal and well worth any fish lover learning how to eat a whole fish. The rack was great, the fish superb. The wine list is diverse and different with many of the bottles offered by the glass. Of course, this being Utah, we were told we would be charged a dollar for tasting two wines before deciding which bottle to buy. Like the $2 would stop us from buying a bottle of wine to enjoy with dinner? Will Utah ever grow up? Well, that's not the restaurant's fault and the waitstaff was very open to inform us of the rules before we tasted, which we appreciated. Prices are very fair for the portions and quality of the ingredients and their preparation, coupled by an attentive staff. Well done.

I like the small and managable menu. The Zabuton was amazing; the meat melts in your mouth. Service was great, and food was very fresh. The elk was a surprise hit too. If you like your meat cooked to medium-rare, the elk will surprise you in a good way.

Anniversary dinner. Easy to find, easy (and free) to park. Neat historic building, great job at preservation & fun to know the history. Liked the art too. Small space, but that didn't bother us. Servers all friendly, knowledgeable. Good pace, timely on the food & drink. I had (and really enjoyed) the boar (chile verde); hubby had the elk - thought it was okay. We started with (shared) the gazpacho, which we both very much liked - it's a wonderfully delicious seasonal plate. Ended with a fantastic, creative, yum dessert - the smoked chocolate pudding with peanuts. It did not disappoint. Glad we tried Pallet.

Nailed it, as always. Perfect for out of town friends to enjoy SLC's more inventive eats. And the early warehouse backdrop can't be beat. Service was technically precise. Just not as warm and inviting as it has been on every previous visit.
