Great food and fantastic service. Only concern was the noise level
I enjoyed the quality of the food, and above all the friendliness of the servers. The noise level was a bit high for my taste.
Love this place. It’s my fav in SLC.
This was our 3rd trip to Pallet. Loved the bass with seasonal vegetables and the cheese board was exceptional. BF had the elk...gorgeous presentation. The dry spell cocktail with fresh pineapple, sage, and gin was worth the wait. There were a few loud tables; usually it's a bit quieter.
Nice place for special occasion
As always, dinner and cocktails were excellent.
Pallet is the perfect setting for a great night out with a very thoughtful staff.
We tried Pallet for the first time and had a lovely evening. The restaurant is cozy but you never feel cramped. The service was perfect and the food was delicious. My husband had the Zabuton and I had the Chicken and both dishes were good as were our cocktails. We'll be back soon.
Service was amazing. Food was better. Really tasty. Worth every penny.
The atmosphere is amazing. Great styling throughout the entire place. The server we had was great, very personable and easy going. The food we had were the lamb ribs, pork belly and the zabuton. The pork belly was good good father to meat ratio. The lamb was too fatty on most of the ribs and the sauce used overpowered the natural taste of the lamb. The steak was a zabuton cut, it was just okay. I'm spoiled when it comes to steaks since I frequent the likes of Spencer's, Fleming's and Ruth Chris. So my expectation was high, that being said the steak was tender and served correctly at medium rare but flavor wise it was okay. That's the word I've been using is okay for this place. Expectations high and spent some good money there and it was OKAY.
The menu was so creative, I had trouble choosing my dishes. I was blown away by the pappardelle. It was so unique and thoughtfully conceived: every element had a purpose and was celebrated. I expect their other dishes are similarly executed, and I wish I were a local to try them out!
We really enjoyed our dinner. Everything was delicious. Our only complaint was the noise level was very high and it was difficult to talk. The lighting was also very dim so it was not easy to read the menu or wine list.
Always a favorite ... small intimate space with creative menu and cocktails.
Our food and drinks were amazing, and our service was even better. My girlfriend and I both had a wonderful evening, and recommend Pallet very highly!
The root vegetable dish was too charred to enjoy. They did offer to make me something else but we didn’t have time. We will definitely be back! The ambience was stellar!
Pallet offers top notch service with a very consistent, high quality food experience. The restaurant is the perfect size and the decor is very interesting. Parking is seldom a problem. One of the best places in SLC.
Pallet was good but we thought a bit over-rated. Reservations were difficult to find, so we ate there on a Thursday. Service was good but not overly attentive. Cocktails before dinner were outstanding but small. The wine list was fairly good, especially by the glass. The food was good but portions were on the smaller side, which was fine as the food was fairly rich. We enjoyed the meal but were not "wowed".
The very best that Salt Lake has to offer. 10’s across the board for cocktails, food, service, and ambiance.
What can I say, Pallet just hits on all cylinders from the moment you walk up to the front door until the moment you walk out!
- Location, Check
- Ambiance and decor, check
- Service, check
- Food, double check!
Anytime we are in town, this has become the new 'must do' choice.
The chocolate zucchini cake was one of the best desserts we have ever had, highly recommend.
we enjoyed our meal at Pallet! loved the special and the tres leches!
High-quality creative food plated beautifully. The desserts are especially inventive and delicious. The menu shifts over time but they tend to have the same main dishes with a couple specials. Retro repurposed factory decor in a dim, warm atmosphere. I loved my experience this most recent time I came, but I was surprised at how loud it was despite being 9 PM. I had hoped to be able to have more of an intimate conversation.
Perfect portions and delicious food
Pallet was amazing. Our waiter, Jason was top notch. He was friendly and very well informed about the menu. We had the bagna cudo appetizer and it was delicious, it could have used more lavash crackers, but we were given some bread to soak up all the dip. For entrees we had the bass, an order of scallops and 2 orders of Zabuton. Everything was delicious. The scallops were enormous, but very tender and sweet. My friend ordered her Zabuton on the med-well side and she enjoyed it. My husband had his med-rate and it was perfect They do put mushrooms in nearly every dish, so if you’re not a fan of mushrooms I’m sorry. We finished with a chocolate zucchini cake and some homemade hibiscus ice cream. The playing of all the food was creative and beautiful. The space was small, and full, but it wasn’t noisy. It was a great find and if we aver get back to SLC we will visit again.
Pallet was exceptional. The cocktail menu was creative and wonderful, and the food was absolutely delicious without being too skimpy on portion sizes. We also had a charcuterie board that featured three exceptional meats. The ambiance was dark and cozy - perfect for the cold, snowy day we went on. Our waiter's service was excellent, and he made great recommendations. Overall, great experience!
Loved the ambience. Cocktails were unique and classy.
We enjoyed the best meal of our vacation at Pallet, before returning home to LA. The menu was varied and interesting, and every item we ordered fresh, flavorful and inventive. We started with the Full Board charcuterie and cheese which was delightful. We each thoroughly enjoyed our entrees - the bass was super tasty, and the scallops, the lamb and beef were exceptional. We’d been searching for a great restaurant in SLC, so glad we found Pallet!
These place was an amazing experience from the moment we walked to appetizer, entree and dessert! I will definitely go back. My favorite restaurant in SLC.
Didn’t really get the romantic dinner I thought I would. The place gets pretty dark the way they have the lighting. So if you are looking for eye to eye communication it may be hard to do at most of the tables. The menu is pretty small, I believe there are only 8 options. Pretty pricey as well, and as for how the food tasted I wasn’t impressed. Service wasn’t bad.
This is the second time we’ve been to Pallet. It’s definitely a once a year treat for us. The food, atmosphere, service are all worth the cost. Thank you for making our night outstanding!
We had a lovely experience. Very romantic and fun menu. Food was excellent and very different. Cool
Ambiance. Loved the typewriter in the back.
Great restaurant. The only bad experience I've had with pallet is the seating.
We visited from Baltimore Maryland. The food was outstanding, our server was knowledgeable, helpful and help create a lovely experience! When we visit Salt Lake City, we will make sure to make a special date night for Pallet. Really delicious food!!!
We enjoyed a fabulous evening! We had an early reservation and ended up probably 2 hours of enjoying a marvelous evening of beverage, starters, entree's, and sweet finish. We normally end up in Portland for an evening like this, I told the kids they have got to come here next time!! If you have not been here, bring your wallet and enjoy Salt Lake's great food scene!!! We'll be back!
Absolutely amazing seeing elk on a menu, it brings a tear of happiness to my eye, this will definitely be a top choice for future dates. And I regret not getting our servers name because she was fantastic she had somewhat blonde hair and awesome glasses which appeared to be a jaguar print frames hope describing her can get that across to the owner and gm because she was an absolute gem, I had the elk which was phenomenal and my date had the bass which was also a delightful.
Every time I dine at Pallet the feeling is the same: great food and great service in a casual environment. The Truffle Yukon potatoes is a must. Everyone loves them. The same can be said for the meatball appetizer: moist, perfectly seasoned with a tinge of spice. Our group had the elk, scallops and sea bass. All of the dishes were phenomenal and the portions were perfect. The Tres Leches dessert is not a traditional rendition but we all agreed that it was delicious. Had 2 glasses of Albarino which complemented the meal well. Our waitress was polite and professional. Service was outstanding.
The cocktails were delicious and the food is excellent. It's expensive, but everything was very good. It's a great place for special occasions.
Would be good for any occasion. Excellent food and service
Amazing service and delicious food! Had one of the best cocktails I've ever had the pleasure of drinking too!
