Su[erior food and service. Limited seating which enables the Pallet to cater to customers. Noise level is high. There were two large happy groups plus the music which made for a loud environment. If music had been turned off, people would not have to talk so loud adding to the din. Despite that, the Pallet is an awesome place for an excellent evening meal. We go to the Pallet often and will continue to do so.
Everyone enjoyed their meal. 2 people had the scallops which were wonderful. I had the bass which was very good. Our cheese plate was great but a little stingy on the cheese for the price. Our waiter was great and very attentive. We were there to discuss business and it got very loud after about 6. I don't know if you can do anything to muffle sound but that is my only criticism. I don't think I should plan on going there for anything that needs conversation.
The food was good, our server was good. The person that greeted us at the door was seemed to judge us by our attire, took a while to figure out where to seat us in a mostly empty restaurant and then placed us by the front door. We felt every breeze when the door was opened. The greeter seemed to have an air of superiority about them. The wait person was great. She answered all of our questions and also made a wine suggestion when asked. It was a good food experience for us.
I was very happy with Pallet. I took my wife here for a date night out and it was a great experience. My only complaint was where we were seated. They stuck us in a small table right by the doorway. The rest of the tables were inset enough to feel set away from the door. Every time someone came in we felt like we were greeting them. Everything else was great the food and service were fantastic. Enjoyed some different types of food like the olive oil cake. Great experience but they should get rid of the table right by the door.
Everything was absolutely fantastic. Service, ambiance, our server’s recommendations, appetizers, main dish, and dessert!
Panning was fine, and service was fantastic. The Elk was 5/5 but the streak was 3/5.
I think for some, communal table seating/eating in a small dark setting would be perfect.
Our first time to Pallet will not be our last. We loved the ambience, "just rIght" attentive service, the smiles on the all the wait staff. The only thing that topped that was the quality of the food. Easily the best restaurant meal/experience we've had in the last year in Salt Lake. Oh yes, we will be back.
What a refreshing surprise! Charming decor, great food and pleasant servers! We enjoyed a very pleasant evening. Thank you!!
Always great food, service and atmosphere
Amazing elk, one of the best places to eat in Salt Lake City and a nice atmosphere.
This was our first time at Pallet and we really enjoyed it. The ambiance is very nice and the food is interesting. We had the elk and the duck and both were excellent. The service was a little sluggish, but the was the only issue.
WAY too cool for Utah. It makes you feel like you're in SoHo or Los Angeles. The drinks are unique and delicious and the food is spectacular.
Excellent food, service and a good value for all provided.
The food and drinks were exquisite! Great service and ambiance!
Food, cocktails, decor and tunes were amazing. Tight quarters if you don't get a side table though :(
Such a beautiful environment. Staff was warm and friendly. Food was amazing! We will definitely be going back!
My new favorite. Been several times now and never disappointed.
Restaurant was small which is nice but still had a lot of noise/ poor acoustics. Waiter was great. A little pricey for the portion size and selection was lacking. Too many wild game dishes for our taste. We will go again and see if the selection has changed.
Perfect night. Thanks Pallet!
We visited Pallet for our 7th anniversary last weekend. Our meal and service at Pallet was outstanding. However, we arrived a bit early for our reservation and were seated at an empty communal table (which in hindsight I would have changed). We ended up with two very loud parties on either side of us which kind of killed the romantic vibe. We actually ended up cutting dinner short and not opting for dessert because the table of "bros" next to us was just too distracting to enjoy ourselves. Overall I would love to come back but will opt for a smaller table/request that the host staff pay more attention to special occasions when seating guests.
Amazing food as always. I had the scallops with the pea purée and it was exquisite. My wife fell in love with the duck which was cooked to perfection.
This is our spot...we had our first date here and I proposed to her here as well. We go back as often as possible but are ALWAYS there for special celebrations. The service was top notch, per usual, but Tyler took it to a new level with his attentiveness.
If you are reading this and have not yet dined here...this is a must for any foodie!!!
Excellent as always! I have been to Pallet several times over the years from when it was an emerging new
restaurant up to this most recent dinner, and it has always been spot on every time.
One of them best restaurants in SLC. Great food. Excellent use of sauces and layering. Best lamb and scallops!
Pallet is one of my favorite restaurants and probably the best in Salt Lake City. The lamb was fantastic.
Fantastic! Start to finish!
Perfect evening. Excellent food. We started with Gloria’s meatballs and proceed to the steak and duck. Delicious.
The service was outstanding.
The decor is beautiful and warm. Brick and wood and beautiful light fixtures.
A great place to meet up with friends or for a romantic dinner for two.
We’ll be back!
We had a delicious family dinner at Pallet. The restaurant is small so our party of five split a long table with another table of four, but it was not intrusive. Cocktails were good, charcuterie board was delicious. The table had the bass, elk, duck, pasta and zabuton - everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious.
One of the best meals I've had. We ate here last year and it was equally amazing. Everything is cooked to perfection. Oustanding service and ambiance. We will definitely be back.
Being from Chicago, the bar is high when coming to eat in Utah. Pallet was a nice discovery. Warm decor, creative and clean. Since Utah has no Michelin rankings, we went by the AAA Guide. This was a 3 diamond, and honestly, the quality of food, price and service, deserved it to be a 4 diamond. Keep at it Pallet, you can get there. I had the duck, my partner had the Ratatouille. Now, she was expecting the Pixar-film look, but she was pleasantly surprised with everything. My duck was amazing, tender, and a crunch on the skin. If this restaurant was in Chicago, the prices would be inflated by $10 an entree. This place is a little pricey, but for the quality of the food, it is a decent value. Best to go when they first open, they were packed when we left. Highly recommended.
We had the ratatouille which was some of the best vegetarian food that we have ever had. The ceviche was absolutely divine and fresh. It was season with ginger which made my tongue feel weird. I thought it was the scallops so I wish I had known ginger was part of the marinade ahead of of time. After I realized that the ginger was so pronounced it all made sense. Finally we have the tartare and I asked for bread with the dish however it was unnecessary. And all these cases the chef was spot on and just trust them.
Very accommodating of my time frame and needs
Tasty, fun, and inventive New American cuisine. Great cocktails and good wine list.
I have been here several times however I must say the last visit was less than stellar. The food was not up to par as previously experienced but the service was about the same. Had the tartare, ceviche, meatballs, bass, lamb, oil cake, and white mousse.
Amazing food and a romantic atmosphere that can't be beat. This little neighborhood gem only two blocks from the Vivint Center is a must visit. The staff was incredible and the food creative and delicious.
Great food, great service. Perfect for a dinner before the theater. We will be back!
Everything was wonderful! I look forward to going back.
When all you can talk about for the next two hours are the potatoes, and they were just the appetizer, then you know you’re in the right place. Casual with good service. A little out of the way. And really great food. Scallops were just perfect. Great flavors in the salads. I’m heading back real soon.
The ambiance and service at this restaurant are exceptional - great place for an intimate dinner for two or a small group. The cocktails are imaginative and satisfying. I wish we could've stayed for dessert and hope to return here soon!
