Delicious food and extremely attentive staff.
Good service, very friendly, good food and a very nice environment.
Very nice place and great service if you like to have a Pizza and Pasta for one. Just like Rome!
Wonderful ambience, excellent service. Carpaccio was awesome, as was the shrimp with salad and pistachio pesto. Delicious tiramisu.
Our dining experience at Palio was excellent! The pasta and pizza were fantastic. The service was above and beyond. We will definitely be returning!
Average food. Needed salt. Some of the ingredients on the salad wasn't quite what was on the menu. I assume the empty restaurant and kidna limited ingredients were the result of COVID. Seemed really expensive for what we paid. Also the wine selection is ridiculously small and surprisingly not that Italian. Also don't serve a $15 bottle of Ruffino Chianti and charge $16 for a glass. There were flies in the dining room, ok for fast casual maybe, not great for white-tablecloth-fine-dining. Had some tummy problems the next day.
My date asked if I would come back, I said "no", mostly because I could make most of the stuff better at home.
Food was very good, service attentive and friendly. Would definitely go back.
Beautiful patio with great sculptures. excellent food and friendly staff.
I met a friend for lunch at Palio and we had a wonderful time. The food was very good and the service was excellent. There were only a few other diners there so it was quiet, slow-paced, and relaxing. It was not an inexpensive meal, but the food was very good quality in the San Francisco Financial District so that was not a surprise. I recommend this restaurant!
The food was delicious, the servers were attentive, the white devil cocktail was yummy! Will definitely go again.
Friendly and knowledgeable servers. Great food. Nice ambience.
Great welcoming service and excellent, well prepared Italian food. The staff was very welcoming and could not have been nicer to our group.
Excellent salads, fish and pasta dishes. The kitchen clearly has excellent staff who creates interesting and tasty dishes.
Everyone enjoyed their meal, including dessert. The best part was the attentive and friendly service. Definitely recommend and we will be back!
Authentic italian food with a great service with good prices.
Really good food and even better service! Great spot for lunch, especially for date or special occasion.
Best Italian in the FiDi! The best of everything! I love taking friends there.
Waiters were excellent in making suggestions for pairing wine with food selections. Oven wood pizzas are exquisite. Grilled salmon, deliciously crispy at the ends, moist and delectable everywhere else. Appetizers and desserts are uniquely served and delicious.
Group of four were pleased with the service, atmosphere, and fine fare. Shared wood-fired Siciliano pizza and calamari for appetizers, and the chicken parm, Bronzino, salmon, and rigatoni entrees, were excellent. Well-paced dining experience with time to enjoy our cocktails, appetizers, and entrees. We are repeat diners in a city known for its Italian restaurants and we will return.
Excellent food and service!!!!
Wonderful experience! Delicious food and the most extraordinary personal service! We felt well taken care of and will definitely return.
Sophisticated comfortable architecture. The interior reminded me of an expensive restaurant I experienced in Rome. Friendly and super efficient service. We started with pizza; very Italian flavor. I had the shrimp salad, od so good. Pesto dressing that I'll try at home. Delicious, fresh mixture of greens. My husband had rigatoni, which he liked very much. The cocktails were perfectly sized and yummy. We had a great experience and will return.
Simply one of the best restaurants in San Francisco.
After a tough 18 or so months happy to see things picking back up a bit in the FiDi. Always great service, food, and atmosphere. Happy that they made it through!
Delicious but smallish portions.
Fantastic food and service. Since we can't go to Italy now, this is a great substitute!
Great food great service! Going back today with another group of friends!
Every dish scrumptious. Service attentive but not overdone. Very pleased to be back to a SF favorite of mine after many years.
New decor great as well.
Beautiful restaurant with lovely décor. The chef/owner is outstanding and visits the table in traditional "trattoria" fashion to see how the meal was. Excellent.
Beautiful setting, delicious food, attentive wait staff -- a great experience!
We really enjoyed having dinner here! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. It was pretty quiet on a Wednesday night, and a beautiful space.
Excellent food, great service and pleasing ambience.
Delicious food. Will definitely be going back.
We were lucky to find that Palio had just reopened. We has very attentive service in this lovely restaurant. My eggplant was wonderful and my wife’s fish (corvina) special was excellent.
But the fritto misto was superior, such fine gloves. Such a great evening meal at this old restaurant with modern appointments.
Glad we found Palio.
Delicious food and Arturo was fantastic!! We will be back.
I loved the chicken salad for lunch - we all got it and it was delicious!
The pizza tasted like frozen pizza!
The crust was terrible.
Everything was great! Food, drinks, service and staff were all awesome.
Loved the food, excellent service!!
Our server was very attentive and engaging. We had a fun conversation with the owner about the large wall mural. He stayed at least 5 minutes to chat with us about the Siena Palio and the history of it. Extra points for the server who kept my always-thirsty husband with a full glass of water the entire time!
I had not been inside, in a restaurant since the pandemic began last year, so we wanted to mark the occasion with going somewhere special. A former boss of mine, who is a gastronome and lived many years in Italy, always loved Palio, so we thought it would be perfect. It was. Beautifully presented, wonderful food, with complex flavors - from antipasto through dessert. The service was impeccable, and the ambience modern and tasteful. I'm so glad this restaurant survived the pandemic. Do yourself a favor and go there as soon as possible.
