The service was super slow and the restaurant was not busy. He seemed to be completely uninterested in us. The food was nothing special and frankly bland. I would not recommend nor will I return.

I have dined at Palio d´Asti quite a few times in the past. I am disappointed to see that the quality of some plates has declined: very thick pork chop was cooked through without much flavor. The large white beans that accompanied it were, to my taste, uninteresting in both taste and appearance. The kale salad was tasty. The mortadella pizza was the best dish we had. The pannetone bread pudding and its miniature scoop of ice cream was nothing special. I will have to search for a more satisfying restaurant.

Meal for 3 was 500.00!!! Moderately priced wine. Felt like a cafeteria line of food. Had exceptional meals in san Francisco for 1/2 this cost.

Stopped by for some pizza and a break from the Christmas shopping. Excellent service, great thin crust pizza and a lovely bottle of Italian red.

Great service ensuring that our twelve people and two babies had a relaxing evening of food and drink. Don't expect michelin stars, but my Branzino was as good and I only heard happy eating sounds from the foodies in the crowd. Plus, I was pleasantly surprised with the bill. Great place for family get togethers in the heart of the financial district.

Has reservations on a Friday at 6:30 and when we arrived, we were the only ones in the dining area. I was pretty worried but we were already there and hungry. The food was fantastic! I had the pertale sole which came with garlic mashed potatoes and thin string beans. My partner got a meat pizza which was also very good. Our server wasn’t outstanding but in his defense, he was new. They bring awesome chewy and crusty bread before your meal but no one told us about the dispenser of oil and balsamic vinegar on the table. The server really should have shown us what it was. We figured it out but the vinegar was inside the bottle and a little tricky. If we had to eat there again I wouldn’t have a problem but there are so many other places to try.

Great food, great service. I have been here before and my girlfriend and I wanted to go for a second time. We were greeted by the owner, who sat us immediately. We had an entre that we ordered last time that wasn't on the menu. We asked about the that entre and they said they would make a special request for us. Super nice people, great food, good wine and good overall service. Would comeback again!

The wine list wasn't extensive, but there were some great choices. The lobster ravioli was delicious, and the risotto of the day (scallops) was fantastic! We went here for no particular reason, but it would be a great spot for a special occasion. There was plenty of seating for large groups, also.

We were meeting friends later to go to a show, so we had to eat early and this was close to the hotel. Arrived about 5:40 and we were the only ones in the restaurant...kind of sad. Looks like they expect few people so there was only one waiter. Once two other tables were filled, the service got a bit slow. The food was not bad, not great. If you're in the area, it's fine, but there are so many great places in SF, cannot say this is your best option. In retrospect, we should have sat in the bar with the happy hour menu and saved some money. They pizzas did look and smell good, but we had pasta and salad.
