Has reservations on a Friday at 6:30 and when we arrived, we were the only ones in the dining area. I was pretty worried but we were already there and hungry. The food was fantastic! I had the pertale sole which came with garlic mashed potatoes and thin string beans. My partner got a meat pizza which was also very good. Our server wasn’t outstanding but in his defense, he was new. They bring awesome chewy and crusty bread before your meal but no one told us about the dispenser of oil and balsamic vinegar on the table. The server really should have shown us what it was. We figured it out but the vinegar was inside the bottle and a little tricky. If we had to eat there again I wouldn’t have a problem but there are so many other places to try.
Did not have California cab? Seriously. Just one available for 300 for bottle. Other 2 were sold out.
Wood fired pizza, great pasta what’s not to love ?
This is our go-to place for a casual but good-food meal. The service is great, folks are wonderful. Favoloso!!
Food was delicious, not exceptional but reliable as always. Service was off their game--it took 20+ minutes to take our order. Will always return, though!
Pizza, salad and pasta were excellent. Nice wine list and we would return.
Excellent Italian food, perfect service, beautiful restaurant. Martino and his staff know the meaning hospitality...!
Best restaurant in Financial district
Great for lunch.
Always great we are locals and have been here many times. You can never go wrong
Second time we have been to this restaurant for lunch. Enjoyed our meals on both occasions. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Would definitely go back.
Great food, great service. I have been here before and my girlfriend and I wanted to go for a second time. We were greeted by the owner, who sat us immediately. We had an entre that we ordered last time that wasn't on the menu. We asked about the that entre and they said they would make a special request for us. Super nice people, great food, good wine and good overall service. Would comeback again!
The wine list wasn't extensive, but there were some great choices. The lobster ravioli was delicious, and the risotto of the day (scallops) was fantastic! We went here for no particular reason, but it would be a great spot for a special occasion. There was plenty of seating for large groups, also.
We were meeting friends later to go to a show, so we had to eat early and this was close to the hotel. Arrived about 5:40 and we were the only ones in the restaurant...kind of sad. Looks like they expect few people so there was only one waiter. Once two other tables were filled, the service got a bit slow. The food was not bad, not great. If you're in the area, it's fine, but there are so many great places in SF, cannot say this is your best option. In retrospect, we should have sat in the bar with the happy hour menu and saved some money. They pizzas did look and smell good, but we had pasta and salad.
I love the restaurant, have been a regular there for years. Great food and even better service - one of my favorite places to eat in SF when I'm traveling for business.
Excellent atmosphere and food. Service was prompt and staff attentive.
