Very good but it was a Tuesday night so quiet
New chef. No mussels 😞
My coworker said wine pour was skimpy
Service is always incredibly slow. Whether empty or full, expect to wait... and wait
The prices went up astronomically which might explain why the restaurant was mostly empty on a Friday evening. It's sad as there are few nice classy places to go in that part of town. Don't expect it to last long before it morphs into the next sports bar.
What a GREAT surprise! The food, 5-star, the service was spectacular, ambience was fantastic... total thumbs up experience!!!
Thanks for perfect table and great service. Really enjoyed the lunch menu and location and setting
I usually dine at this restaurant 3 times per week. This visit included mediocre food, indifferent service and I was charged $3 for an ice cube. i spoke with both the server and the lunch manager, neither were interested in my comments and brushed me off. I had booked an additional dinner reservation for next week, but I cancelled after this unpleasant experience. I will take my business elsewhere. LA has many good restaurants with "less attitude".
Love the decor and atmosphere. Had a very nice booth along back wall. Server was efficient, friendly and helpful. Food was alright, although nothing special. And price for what we got seemed high to me (or at least not great value for what I paid). Tater tots that were so highly encouraged tasted like the ones I get frozen at Trader Joes. We both had lunch salads which were OK but really nothing special. Tofu was fried, but served cold. Food came out way too fast and all at once, although we had not communicated any preference for slower delivery. Wine was excellent. Will I go back? Probably not. Too many other good choices with more interesting menu options.
The food is overpriced and not tasty. The bartender didnt show a lot of interest in working and drinks are plain but the server was really professional instead. I was expecting more.
Paley was a disappointment. I went for my birthday and was really looking forward to a great time. Unfortunately, the service was awful, and the food was not much better. The lobster mac and cheese was dry, and the lobster was low quality. The waiter had to be hunted down for bread and drinks. The 'birthday' dessert was almost insulting--half of scoop of medium-grade vanilla with a sad candle stuck in the top. Not at all what I expected from a 4 star restaurant. Uninspired and uninspiring.
The atmosphere is elegant. My salmon was perfectly done and everyone’s meals-scallops and filet-were delicious.
Very flavorful meal. Menu has something for everyone as does the wine menu. Staff is friendly and attentive. A bit disappointed with the baked Alaska but overall a well prepared meal. Certainly a restaurant to revisit.
Had an entertainment business meeting for five. Everyone commented on how great the place was and that they would come back again.
Service and ambiance were lovely, but food was lacking flavor.
DineLA menu: octopus, buratta salad, scallops, chocolate shake
Paley has one of the best happy hours in town - goe's til 7 with great cocktails and wines! Food was stellar and of course, the design and atmosphere are next level. We were disappointed that we waited 40 minutes for our dessert, which then came out cold, but our server took care of it and knocked a bit off the bill. Do yourself a favor and check out the high-tech bathrooms! As a friend stated, "Paley is a lifestyle."
I had an amazing time with a group over a year ago. I decided to return for DineLA and I was impressed with the consistency in their customer service and quality of food. Every plate was delicious and our servers were exceptional in answering questions and ensuring that we were comfortable. Love Paley! Thank you for a superb experience.
Went in for Dine LA and was under impressed. We were passed by 10 times and overc5 mins to be greater. Our server seemed very fake and only stopped by 4 times the whole night. It took 2 hours for them to bring out 3 small dishes for us to enjoy. I believe a manager helped take our order, bring us drink refills and was very nice, we wished we could have tipped him. For that area and those prices, they need to tighten up service and food expectations.
Their Dine LA offerings were quite good. It was necessary to be careful in using some of the ingredients presented with the courses as they could be a bit overwhelming - case in point the citrus peel with the scallops - the scallops were delicious but if you put too much peel with a forkful, the peel overwhelmed the scallop's more delicate flavor. The branzino was perfectly cooked, as was pretty much all the fish dishes and they have a small but well chosen wine list.
The hostess began our experience horribly. We arrived 15 minutes early, there were 60% of the tables open (including the one we were sat at) yet the hostess asked us to have a seat in the waiting area. She then stood with our menus for 2 full minutes waiting until the clock reached 7:30 on the dot, walked over and asked if we would like to be seated, and sat us at the table that had been opened since we walked in.
Our waitress was very kind, once we met her after 10 minutes of waiting on any one to stop and take our drink order. The food was average and the milkshake was HORRIBLE, tasted like water and powder mix. All of this for a $250 dinner, which is fine when the service and food matches. extremely disappointed, they need a serious change in management.
Had a rez for Saturday night (7/5) at 7:30 pm and upon arriving we were informed we would have to order quickly as they were closing early due to business being slow. Drinks were good, service was not and the food was bland to bad. Ordered the mac & cheese without the lobster and low and behold it came with a large lobster on top! The steak was fatty and not flavorable, and the salads were bland and tasteless. The Wagyu burger and tots were the only food items worth mentioning. Our less than favorable experience along with the 7.1 earthquake that hit at 8:19 pm, we were definitely ready to bolt from this place!
It was dead.
I really wanted to love this place. It was beautiful inside, but it left something to be desired. The service wasn’t very warm and i felt a little lost on where to be. It felt a bit like the staff wished we weren’t there, which is silly because it was a group of industry people who tip well and have manners. We maybe didn’t look wealthy enough to the staff or something so they sort of ignored our presence. Poor choice on there part, they missed out on a lot of sales by ignoring our group and making it hard to get another round
Thanks to the great bartenders who made sure we got happy hour pricing right before 7 pm and accommodated some order/drink changes as well!
Good place for meeting for lunch.
This was our first time to this venue. It was fun, the food was very good and service was fine. We enjoyed ourselves and would go back again.
They are incapable of cooking salmon well done. So if you’re pregnant, don’t get it. Other than that, it’s always a nice time.
Great food and wonderful service. Went here before a show and we loved it. Drinks were a bit slow to get to us, but otherwise service was great.
Too expensive. Limited menu. Food just ok. Not busy at 8pm on Saturday night. Management needs to rethink what they are doing here.
Very average. Went pre-theater. The bartenders were quite good and friendly. Wait service was good but nothing extraordinary. The meal was average - also a bit cold. We didn't have a ton of time before a show so I decided not to complain. The manager stopped by to check in which was a nice touch. With some many choices nearby, there is nothing compelling for me to go back.
No, the food was overpriced, the burger was overdone. Took forever. You can get the same meal for the half the price at Granville. Go to Granville.
The glasses of wine were small. The food is overpriced. The cocktail was the best part of the meal. The food was lukewarm
Service was terrible - the waiters were flustered because it was a Friday night and many people came to dine before a show at the Palladium, right across the street. Would expect them to prepare for such things. Food was mediocre at best. They had a “seafood boil for 2” that was lackluster at best and didn’t make me feel great after. Cocktails are expensive and not terribly strong. We spent over $200 for 3 people SHARING plates and did not leave satisfied.
Great food and the potions are large. Great drinks, friendly service and cool vibe. Brussels sprouts are amazing! Walking distance to Pantages (a few blocks, but totally do able).
Food, drinks and ambiance were amazing. Our server Melissa was incredible as well. Will definitely be back!
Beautiful restaurant, fantastic service and an overall elegant dining experience. We will be back!
Awesome avocado toast. Great (but pricey) drinks.
I like it!
So glad we chose this location for our Saturday night dinner! The food as amazing, staff was great answered all of our questions and checked to see if the kitchen could make special accommodations and they did. Will definitely come back to dine at Paley.
AC wasn’t working and very hot inside.
