Great time! Wonderful DJ & food & drinks were great!
Nice spot. Interesting location. Food was not good at all, we ordered wings, pizza, nachos, and chicken strips after checking out the hotel-like breakfast buffet and decided against it. Nachos had cold clumps of cheese and stale chips. The rest of the food was very frozen meal-like. Don’t know how else to explain it. Drinks were ok. Ended up ordering a draft beer. Service was great as well as the rooftop/pool side (no actual pool) vibe. Inside still had sticky floors and glitter from the night before. Was a little hesitant to sit on the couches. Overall, the place has great potential if they work on the food menus and the night clean up crew.
We enjoyed ourselves so much! Food was good, music was on point, and all employees were so friendly! We sat on the rooftop at Skybar and the weather and view was perfect. We will be back soon!
Wonderful atmosphere....food was great...drinks amazing...DJs on point! Such a fun night!
We had the very best time, and will be back for sure!
We came on Valentine’s Day and it’s was the day the snowstorm was coming... we decided, no matter what, we were going to make it!
They were very professional and called to confirm our reservation, which I appreciated. When we arrived, staff was super welcoming and friendly.
I was very happy about their Valentine’s Day special that was simple, delicious and affordable. Most places we looked at charged per person, and they had a perfect menu that included champagne, a salad, main course, and desert. It was incredible!
Our server was the best, so was the host, and the bartender! Even the owner came over to greet us, which is always something special and memorable.
They were so kind and generous, and gave me a giant teddy bear and some chocolate covered strawberries that were left over from their Valentine’s decor. I was like SOOOO happy!! Haha!
The drinks were amazing! I got a martini and my fiancé had crown and cokes. We will definitely be back and can’t wait to see what that place is like on a night when the rooftop bar is open!
Thank you so much all of y’all at Pale Horse! You made our first Valentine’s Day together the best!
Impossible service even on a SLOW night.
We made a reservation Saturday, 23 Jan at 7pm (for four)...walked in with hardly anyone in there and stood around waiting for someone to greet us. Eventually asking for some help. Was seated and then no one came to take our order. My wife went up front to ask a gal and she literally told us she was our waitress but was just “freaking out about being around people”...we assume Covid concerns. So my wife came back and told us we needed to look at the menu and then go tell them what we wanted as our waitress was to scared to come to our table. After a moment or two we said to heck with that and walked out. Place looked to be cool, May have been, but to have a waitress working that wouldn’t work, wow...some manager needed to send her home and step up!!!
Place is great! Only issue is the way they do buffet for brunch. Had to wait 1 hour to get served. Waited another 30 minutes for seconds. Didn't think we got our $20 worth of all you can eat due to having to wait for the food. Server was great.
Made a reservation n they were closed. Even after getting confirmation
We started coming to Pale Horse when it first opened. We went frequently and brought friends or met them there. We loved the atmosphere with the background piano music, and the staff was very friendly. It was a great place to relax and visit with friends.
We hadn't been to Pale Horse yet this year because of COVID. Some friends asked to meet us there last Friday. We arrived at around 7pm. The place was empty except for three people at the bar. The music was unbelievably loud. We knew that there would be no way we could have a conversation with our friends with the volume of the music. And so we left.
We went to the Sidecar bar in the Prince Solms Inn in downtown New Braunfels. It was perfect. The music was at the right level to be able to carry on a conversation. And, unlike the Pale Horse, every available table was taken. They have a full tapas menu, and their drinks are great. And, they often have amazing live entertainment, mainly jazz music.
We are so disappointed in what Pale Horse has become. We will not be going there anymore, nor will we recommend it to anyone.
Pale Horse has changed but it was a change that 99% of our customers have LOVED! If you want a piano bar, continue going to Side Car! We do cater to a younger crowd now...and we have fun events like Karaoke nights on Wednesdays, Latin nights on Thursdays and we host some of the best DJs from Austin every weekend!!! We get it....we can't please everybody...and some people HATE change....but what matters is the majority of our customers & clients and they LOVE it! HAPPY 2021 KAREN! : )
