We had been to the one in Gaithersburg and were very impressed with the food and ambiance. It was unfortunate that the ambiance of the one in Rockville was so vastly different and disappointing. It was not nearly as high end feeling and although our waitress was good, it just felt very overpriced and lackluster for the evening when all was said and done.

A favorite for brunch. The only problem is that I always end up getting the same thing. Service is always accommodating.

Attentive and courteous service, our table had the sweet potato tacos, and the huevos rancheros from the brunch menu which were both tasty. The red wine sangria was average.

We take a six-year-old grandson there after afternoon concerts at Strathmore. He likes the food, and the service is attentive. Don't let the rum part of the name scare you off!

What a wonderful discovery! Delicious food and nice comfy spot. Our waitress, Sabrina was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on. Great for a meal after a matinee at Strathmore. We’ll be back!

Not your average kabob place. More options. Never had a bad meal. Wait staff is very accommodating and helpful in navigating the menu.

I’ve been here a few times and I absolutely love it. I first had their cauliflower tacos and I fell in love, but they took it off the menu. At my last visit, I asked for the tacos and they made it happen. I will gladly go back and will tell all my friends to check it out! ☺️

Paladar has a number of unusual Latin American classics, e.g., Feijoada and Brazilian cheese bread, and makes a number of fine ceviches as well. The wine and cocktail list is also quite diverse.

Paladar always has good reasonably priced food for the area. Our waiter was attentive and courteous. This place is great for lunch as it is more quiet then and you can talk. If you like it more lively, come on a weekend evening. I been here many times and we've never had any bad food. I recommend as 2 thumbs up.

The braised duck taco was excellent. Have had the fish taco several times before but this time the fish did not taste fresh.

What a nice surprise!! A group of us ate here before a Strathmore event. No one drank because we all had to drive, but the bar menu is phenomenal and the idea of tasting sizes of rum is brilliant; we'll definitely try that one night because we will be going back here. The food menu read fine, but in fact the dishes arrived with more creativity and flavor than we had anticipated, and nicely presented as well. The restaurant is very large, so there were large booths for families and groups, plus the bar, plus outdoor tables, plus traditional tables. Prices were very reasonable; parking in the garage across the street was easy and free. Looking forward to a return visit and happy to have this nearby.

For lunch time service, server was slow and inattentive to our need to get back to the office. Food was delicious just don’t recommend a lunch time stop in.

The food was just OK, nothing special. The rum bar has every conceivable rum you could want. The service from Chris was awesome.

The wife and I came for our Friday date night and we were very happy with our meal. We got there at 6:30 and enjoyed several happy hour drinks and appetizers. Service was great and we sat outside for our meal. We have been here several times and have always had a great experience.

Food and drink were excellent as always. Bar was way behind for some reason - like 20-30 minutes for nearly all drink orders- but manager was apologetic and comped our carafe of sangria so it was all good.

Food was good! I had the Jamaican jerk chicken with rice and kale. Needed to be a little spicier. Service was decent but waiter was too quick to run off without making sure everything we needed was taken care of, so we had to wait for him to return quite a few times.

Loved sitting out on the patio for dinner. Food's great. Server was very attentive in the beginning but later she didn't fill water glasses and was nowhere to be found.
We're definitely coming back though as we like the food.

The food was excellent, The service was quick and attentive, the drinks were perfect, and we greatly enjoyed sitting at their outside tables. My sister has to eat gluten free, and they were very careful to be sure that she was taken care of.

Good & varied menu. Can be very uneven service. They bring appetizers without plates, napkins or silverware and are surprised you ask for them. Can wait a long time until they check in on you once served. Some dishes are a home run and others can disappoint, even if you have ordered before. Their kitchen can be uneven.

We went on Mojito Specials night, and enjoyed sampling the various flavors. We came too late to enjoy the Happy Hour food specials, so we ordered Jerk Chicken and Chicken Salad with peanuts from the Chef's Specials. Both were excellent. Our only disappointment was that someone at our end of the bar wanted to watch a poker tournament rather than the baseball All Star Game, so we missed the first half of this once-a-year event.
