Unfortunately the restaurant went out of business!!!! :( They have close down the operation. Sad to inform!!
We had been to the one in Gaithersburg and were very impressed with the food and ambiance. It was unfortunate that the ambiance of the one in Rockville was so vastly different and disappointing. It was not nearly as high end feeling and although our waitress was good, it just felt very overpriced and lackluster for the evening when all was said and done.
A favorite for brunch. The only problem is that I always end up getting the same thing. Service is always accommodating.
Attentive and courteous service, our table had the sweet potato tacos, and the huevos rancheros from the brunch menu which were both tasty. The red wine sangria was average.
We take a six-year-old grandson there after afternoon concerts at Strathmore. He likes the food, and the service is attentive. Don't let the rum part of the name scare you off!
What a wonderful discovery! Delicious food and nice comfy spot. Our waitress, Sabrina was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on. Great for a meal after a matinee at Strathmore. We’ll be back!
Not your average kabob place. More options. Never had a bad meal. Wait staff is very accommodating and helpful in navigating the menu.
Always a pleasant evening with fresh, delicious food.
Paladar was once again a pleasing Saturday evening meal. The food was good, as were the cocktails. THey were definitely doing a good business...crowded...make a reservation!
I’ve been here a few times and I absolutely love it. I first had their cauliflower tacos and I fell in love, but they took it off the menu. At my last visit, I asked for the tacos and they made it happen. I will gladly go back and will tell all my friends to check it out! ☺️
Paladar has a number of unusual Latin American classics, e.g., Feijoada and Brazilian cheese bread, and makes a number of fine ceviches as well. The wine and cocktail list is also quite diverse.
Paladar always has good reasonably priced food for the area. Our waiter was attentive and courteous. This place is great for lunch as it is more quiet then and you can talk. If you like it more lively, come on a weekend evening. I been here many times and we've never had any bad food. I recommend as 2 thumbs up.
The braised duck taco was excellent. Have had the fish taco several times before but this time the fish did not taste fresh.
What a nice surprise!! A group of us ate here before a Strathmore event. No one drank because we all had to drive, but the bar menu is phenomenal and the idea of tasting sizes of rum is brilliant; we'll definitely try that one night because we will be going back here. The food menu read fine, but in fact the dishes arrived with more creativity and flavor than we had anticipated, and nicely presented as well. The restaurant is very large, so there were large booths for families and groups, plus the bar, plus outdoor tables, plus traditional tables. Prices were very reasonable; parking in the garage across the street was easy and free. Looking forward to a return visit and happy to have this nearby.
Good food and service. Fun place for a party crowd.
For lunch time service, server was slow and inattentive to our need to get back to the office. Food was delicious just don’t recommend a lunch time stop in.
The food was just OK, nothing special. The rum bar has every conceivable rum you could want. The service from Chris was awesome.
The wife and I came for our Friday date night and we were very happy with our meal. We got there at 6:30 and enjoyed several happy hour drinks and appetizers. Service was great and we sat outside for our meal. We have been here several times and have always had a great experience.
Food and drink were excellent as always. Bar was way behind for some reason - like 20-30 minutes for nearly all drink orders- but manager was apologetic and comped our carafe of sangria so it was all good.
The food was very salty, and the guacamole portion was very small. I liked my rum drink!
Love the food. Had a great server named Chris, he was great!
Reduced noise level sitting outside with few diners. Great value during happy hour.
Food was good! I had the Jamaican jerk chicken with rice and kale. Needed to be a little spicier. Service was decent but waiter was too quick to run off without making sure everything we needed was taken care of, so we had to wait for him to return quite a few times.
Loved sitting out on the patio for dinner. Food's great. Server was very attentive in the beginning but later she didn't fill water glasses and was nowhere to be found.
We're definitely coming back though as we like the food.
The food was excellent, The service was quick and attentive, the drinks were perfect, and we greatly enjoyed sitting at their outside tables. My sister has to eat gluten free, and they were very careful to be sure that she was taken care of.
Excellent service! Good food--round table which was great for 7 and a lovely night! Every0one enjoyed what they ordered.
Good & varied menu. Can be very uneven service. They bring appetizers without plates, napkins or silverware and are surprised you ask for them. Can wait a long time until they check in on you once served. Some dishes are a home run and others can disappoint, even if you have ordered before. Their kitchen can be uneven.
Fast and friendly severs, great food, wonderful ambience for brunch!
We went on Mojito Specials night, and enjoyed sampling the various flavors. We came too late to enjoy the Happy Hour food specials, so we ordered Jerk Chicken and Chicken Salad with peanuts from the Chef's Specials. Both were excellent. Our only disappointment was that someone at our end of the bar wanted to watch a poker tournament rather than the baseball All Star Game, so we missed the first half of this once-a-year event.
Food is consistently excellent now. A wide range of menu choices. Interesting cocktails. And reliable service. Management is on top of things here which shows.
This was my first visit. I had two margaritas, made exactly as I had requested them, and the ceviche. I'd like to return, and get a better sense of the Latin American food served here. I was with a group, and rarely dine in Montgomery County. However, if I'm in the area again at dinnertime, would gladly return.
Experience was adequate.. Food was good. Drinks were disappointing.. Avoid rum flight.. 895 for three flights.. Each of three rums about 1 tablespoon or two sips.. Nice flight, just mot good value..
Great lunch menu with plenty of options. My friend and I shared soup, salad, and two tacos. Everything was good and our server, Angela was spectacular!
The food was average to below average. Service initially was ok, then poor. The bar noise was pleasantly insulated from the dining area.
We were a party of five, sitting outside on their patio. Food was excellent, server was very nice, and table was comfortable.
La calidad y el servicio fue horrible por el precio de cada plato. La comida estaba cruda y fria. El arroz crudo, DURO Y todo el plato Frio. No tengo pensado regresar, quede espantada con el precio y la calidad del servicio
I want to really like this place, since server was polite and friendly. Had to send my wife's Cuban sandwich back due to being cold. My skirt steak was average at best; tough and chewy. The joint was about 25% full for Sunday dinner, which surprised me. Disappointed.
Happy hour deals, but the cocktails are mighty strong!
Great service, and great food, but my seat was ripped, and the restaurant seemed a bit dated. I like the newer location better.
It was ok. Not as good as accustomed.
