Consistently superb. Crabmeat cheesecake is delightful.
Excellent breakfast brunch enjoyed by 3 of out party of 5. The others thoroughly enjoyed the Crab Cheescake and the Shrimp and Grits. Service was attentive. Highly recommend.
The Palace Cafe came through once again as a fabulous restaurant choice for lunch in the French Quarter on a busy weekday. The food was excellent and the service high. A great experience for a friend who lives out of town. We will definitely dine here in the future.
Buffet needs more "fresh fruit" but biscuits were heavenly. Service very friendly.
It started at the bar. Ordered a dry martini and received a dirty martini. Easy fix and it was.
Onto the table and appetizers. Ordered a crab stuffed artichoke. Only and 1/8 full and dry dry dry. Sent it back to the waiters reason de we had nothing but complaints in this it’s coming off the menu. Would have been nice to know that prior to receiving. Just saying.
Ordered the crabmeat cheesecake instead my guest liked it fine I thought it was laden with salt to the point of covering the flavor.
Tried a third time with a salad that had all the makings of a good Ceasar. Including anchovies paste In the description. Not only not a bit of anchovy flavor but no dressing. We asked for extra pecorino cheese and the waiter acted like he didn’t know what it was.
Finally we asked for the bill. Not once did a manager ever even approach our table. That was the opitimy of three strikes your out!
Great ambience; convenient location.
I travel to New Orleans on a regular basis. I think the Palace Cafe is one of the best restaurants in town. Their food is good without all of the overdone fuss found in more expensive places. The rum bar has its own appeal and the staff are top notch.
Great service, super small portions
My wife and I ate at Palace Cafe on a Saturday night and had a reservation which was necessary because it was packed. This is a large restaurant on 2 floors with a grand staircase. It was very loud with several large parties and a lot of activity at the bar until 8 pm. The food was excellent and the staff was attentive despite the crowd. They also had a private party of 55 on the third floor which consumed much of the kitchen resources. This slowed the service which we didn't mind as we enjoy lingering over dinner. However, the noise and activity are more suited for younger patrons who want a party atmosphere. This is not a good place for a romantic date for two which is more to our taste.
We have been here before and will be back again. We love this restaurant and can't wait to bring family and friends here!
One our favorite places for ambiance, great drinks, location, true classic creole & cajun food for the past 20+ yrs.
Just a great night, service food everything was excellent!
Amazing service and food
