Our food was good quality, salad fresh, crab cheese cake was excellent. Steaks cooked correctly however the Service was lacking. Waitress talked to much, my tea glass was not refilled or was I asked if I wanted more. The assistant never came back to the table once he brought our drinks. Waitress said the assistant was new. The dessert coffe was excellent. Our bill including tip $150. I expected better service from this restaurant.
Great food and wine. The service was exceptional! We had steaks and Shrimp. Cooked to perfection !
Great food selection at the breakfast buffet. Eggs were scrambled and wet which is not how I like them. Great service!
We came in for dessert to try the legendary Bananas Foster. We also ordered a New Orleans Rum Pineapple Doberge and a coffee cocktail. Everything was delicious. Service was on point. Allison took our order and was very friendly. Steven came to our table to prepare the bananas foster and did a superb job! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Palace Cafe. Staff was attentive and the food and drink was beyond our expectations.
This place is PURE NEW ORLEANS. Upbeat Capatian and waitstaff set the tone for a fun evening. Food was good, not over-the-top inventive, served with style we don't see often enough these days. Our table overlooked Canal Street where we were able to view a Second Line parade with a wedding party -- what a treat! Lots of people celebrating lots of occasions made for a lively room. A very pleasant meal before we explored the music scene in the Quarter.
The food was amazing. The eggs benedict were awesome. Saturday breakfast live jazz.
Our friends from San Francisco just enjoyed the food, service, ambiance and quality of dishes being offered. We were impressed with the menu and offerings. Bananas foster was a treat to see it in the menu.
The food is fresh and unique, and the wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Plenty of choices of all courses and the specialties were unique but not 'fussy'. The table-side bananas foster was a delicious and special ending.
I usually stay away from restaurants that are “famous” because they never live up to the hype- Palace Cafe proved me wrong. So much so that I ended up eating dinner here twice during a week long trip. There are many excellent choices for food In New Orleans and the Palace Cafe should be at the top of any list of places to dine. Wonderful experience!
Food is always consistently the best! Our server ,Patrick, was available and attentive. The noise level was overwhelming at times due to a large table of twelve "gamers" in town for a tournament who had not consent of social behavior. Our waiter kept apologizing, but it made no impact on them.
That made this visit a little less enjoyable for our out of town guests.
