A palace café signature dish! pecan crust, mushroom sauté, creole meunière
A Palace Café favorite! fresh bananas sautéed in brown sugar and cinnamon, flambéed with banana liqueur and rum, vanilla bean ice cream
Palace Cafe is a requirement when we visit New Orleans! We have introduced this place to all of our family. Food is always excellent, as well as the service. If you have a chance visit here!
We enjoyed dining at the Palace Cafe twice during our visit to NOLA. The shrimp remoulade was outstanding. The Turtle soup and Catfish Pecan was delicious. The waitstaff even took the time to help us find a restaurant open on a Monday, as they are closed. I look forward to our next trip to NOLA and dining at Palace Cafe.
We had a very nice dinner here - the food was delicious and our server Cassie was very helpful. We loved the tableside bananas foster!
Palace Cafe always serves wonderful food and has great service. It is a must stop on a trip to NOLA!
Fantastic food and service! We will be back again for sure!
Understaffed. Food and service has suffered as a result.
Had a wonderful evening! Celebrated my daughter’s birthday and she was given a bday hat and a bread pudding dessert. The food was delicious and our waitress was very attentive and sweet! The hostess was very friendly and answered all my questions 😁
BEST Turtle Soup on the planet!! All the food was lovely, service impeccable, and the ambience was more than enjoyable.
Truly the best place we have eaten so far in all of New Orleans! The inside decor was exceptional! Our service was attentive, efficient, and friendly. This was not one of our original six reservations we made for our New Orleans trip, but after hearing positive things about it from at least three people, we decided to add it for lunch. I would definitely return again! I had the crab cheesecake and the shrimp appetizer with the fried green tomato. My mother had the delicious pulled pork and potato dish. Their bananas foster milkshake was a lovely end to our meal.
It was a great experience! We were seated quickly and we never waited a long time for waiter to grab our orders. We got our starters within a few minutes and they were delicious! Quiet cute ambience overall. Food was excellent and also didn’t take long to get entrees or dessert. The prices were also decent as well for the quality and flavor of the food. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!
Turtle soup and Fried Oyster starters were excellent
Shrimp Tchefuncte was PHENOMENAL
We were seated at our reservation time, service was outstanding and the food beyond good. A definite special experience!
I thoroughly enjoyed our meal at the Palace Cafe. The Gumbo Ya-Ya was divine. I loved the location, the atmosphere, and the staff. Our waiter and the management staff ensured that we were having a great time, as well as making sure that all of needs were met. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
It was great to be back at the Palace Cafe. It had been nearly 2 years since we were there. It is one of our favorite restaurants in New Orleans. The food is exceptional and prices are reasonable for such good food. For years I have recommended this restaurant to visitors and I will continue to do so.
Its such a historic place with a rich history in serving high quality regional dishes.
Good food, great service, beautiful restaurant. Highly recommend!
There were a few things that could have been done better. For example, we were never offered bread, and had to ask for it just before our meal arrived. The crab cheesecake, which is one of my favorite things on the menu, seemed different. It was less dense and could have been cooked longer. The other appetizers and desserts were fabulous. The pork debris never disappoints. Still one of my favorite NOLA restaurants!
Group of ten friends grabbed afternoon lunch there. Gumbo ya-ya was amazing, some of the best gumbo I’ve ever tasted. Our server Dashon had great knowledge of the menu. Great view on second level of the happenings of Canal Street.
Food was superb! We didn’t leave anything on the plate. It was very busy (Friday night) and they are only open until 9, but staff/service were friendly and knowledgeable. Glad we made a reservation.
Everything was awesome!!! We will be back!!!
Very nice welcome to leaving. Food amazing here! Service amazing. Wonderful
Food and service was excellent. The crab cheesecake was to die for, very beautiful place as well.
Wow wow! Our experience was beautiful from start to finish. The wonderful hostess took care to read the special notes we put in our reservation, and seated us at an intimate table upstairs. Our server Drew was perfect, he made great recommendations and was very attentive even though he was also working the bar by himself. We really appreciated that he took time to talk thru the questions we had about the menu, and even suggested a great walking spot for after our meal. Try the mojito and margarita flights, they are fun!! Thank you for a lovely evening, we'll definitely be back. <3
Fabulous food and ambience. Highly recommend. Level of service is provided according to level of dress. Dress nicely for an unforgettable experience!
Incredible experience! We went strictly for bananas foster, but couldn’t resist the crab cheesecake appetizer, house gumbo and even tried the white chocolate bread pudding! Our server Nigel was outstanding, every touch was perfect! We had the privilege of visiting with Corey the kitchen manager too! We felt like royalty! Then the ticket came and we were so pleased to have dined so well for less than other similar venues would charge with less ambience! Please! Don’t leave with out having the bananas foster prepared table side! They top it with their own house made ice cream! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💕💕💕💕💕Wahoo!
Best service so far! The food was amazing. Listen to the wait staff on the specials.
The service couldn’t have been better and the food was simply incredible.
When we visit New Orleans, the Palace is our traditional Sunday lunch. Good wine list and inventive cocktails start it off right. We rarely vary our meal choices, typically having the crabmeat cheesecake as our entree with one of the huge salads. Vanilla bean creme brûlée sends us home happy.
The service was amazing, attentive but not overwhelming. Waiter was charming and knowledgeable. The food was excellent. The sauces served with each dish were delicious. And there are no words for the Banana's Foster cooked to perfection at the table. The whole experience was delightful.
Tourist trap where they get you in and out in 20 minutes. Not worth it.
Great food and atmosphere! Wish we could have saved room for the Bananas Fosters! We'll have to come back next time!
Celebrated my niece graduating from nursing school. I want to give a special thanks to our waitress and Chef Eric. They made our lunch such an awesome experience. They were very attentive, and chef Eric always adds his special touch. I’ve been going to this restaurant for years and it’s definitely a must whenever visiting to New Orleans.
Best meal in New Orleans so far. Service was prompt and polite. Food was outstanding. Must try the crab cheesecake and the turtle soup. Both out of this world.
Meal was great and ambiance was perfect.
The food was excellent, and our waiter Chad was outstanding! He described the dishes we were unfamiliar with in great detail, giving us a good sense of the flavors of each. He was friendly, attentive, and professional throughout with no pressure even though we were one of the later tables. And he was very helpful in giving us tips about night life in New Orleans under current pandemic constraints. A great ambassador for New Orleans.
ABSOLUTELY outstanding !!!!.... crab meat cheese cake -to die for !.... also we wanted to split entree and didn’t even expect that we will get two nicely arranged plates with our fish dish already divided ...!!! ... nothing by EXCELLENT Experience . Definitely be back !!!
The food is unique and remarkably delicious. The service is the best. Noise level is a but loud but not enough to keep us away from this gem!
Great first dining experience in New Orleans
We had great time. Food was good and service was excellent. Great location
