Pa’La DTPHX is a gem! The staff is always warm, friendly and welcoming. They recognize me when I come in and I appreciate that.
The food is on point every time. I love the special features menu that changes all the time.. lots of new and fun and seasonal options to try. I also enjoy the small plates they offer because it’s fun to order a variety for the table so everyone can try a bit of everything… it my favorite way to eat.
The location is perfect because you can walk to a theater, a club or the stadium easily.
Highly recommend this spot!
This was a flawless experience all around. The hospitality matched how delicious and creative the food was. We are now hooked and Pa' La will be our go to restaurant downtown. Really great small plates so you can taste every wonderful dish they have to offer. The mussels are beyond flavorful, you could put that broth on anything. Thanks to Jason, Dalaney, and the rest of the crew for a memorable night out.
Great service from our waiter. Food was both beautiful and tasted delicious.
Excellent service, food and a fun vibe. Absolutely will return.
Pa'la is what you would expect from Claudio Urcioli. Food meticulously chosen and prepared, staff that was knowledgeble and welcoming and a good wine list at reasonable prices.
One thing that stood out (aside from the menu) was the staff. They worked together seamlessly. Not once did someone come to the table and ask if we needed anything; they sensed it and brought. More water, another basket of bread and olive oil, cocktails...that skill is rare in most restaurants.
Since the pandemic, we've not been downtown in ages; how impressive Phoenix can be when it puts its nighttime clothes on! You'll love Pa'la...I did.
We had a lovely dinner at this restaurant. The food was excellent and I can't wait to go back.
Everything is fantastic, but small plates are best options. Throw in some pizzas. Order the Margherito or Carola for awesome drinks. Enjoy the energy and vibe.
Food was cold and unimpressive. Service was very bad.
We were a party of 3 for Restaurant Week. The 6 PM res was at the beginning of the rush. By the time we were finished most every table was occupied. We were able to order the entire RW menu between the three of us. Starting with three cocktails, Cetriolo Rep (5⭐️), Margherito 3.5⭐️) & Pink Med 5⭐️). The food was really good and creative. They do error on the side of spicy, particularly in the Italian sausage they use from Arcadia Meat Market. All the dishes were really well prepared and presented.
I think our server may have been new. A few miscues and some delays. For example, I had the beverage pairing which didn’t work out when the wine got to the table after we were finished with the course. No biggie, they took it off the bill, but it would have been to try it with the dish.
The rest of the menu looks too good to pass up. We’ll be back.
I really wanted to like this place but am sad to say that I was pretty disappointed. The ambiance was nice, the service was good and most of the food was tasty, but honestly nothing was memorable and several things were under or over seasoned. The main problem is that the prices are completely unreasonable for how small the portion sizes are. $18 for 2 scallops. $32 for a steak that is just barely 6 ounces. The steak was served with no sides and drenched in a chimichurri that tasted mostly of vinegar. The pizza had a nice dough but the sauce was too sweet and the cheese was not salted, it general just lacked a depth of flavor. Like I said, I’m sad that Pa’la didn’t impress, since it seemed like a great addition to the Phoenix food scene. One of the great things about this town is being able to go out for exceptional culinary experiences at an affordable price, and Pa’la was anything but that. I don’t appreciate the attempt to elevate restaurant prices to that of New York or San Francisco. Keep Phoenix unique, delicious and affordable.
In town for a conference. Three of us booked a time for dinner. Actual menu was limited from web presentation. Choose a thin crust pizza. Presentation was as expected had good flavor.
Co works had featured special (trout) portion was small. Otherwise ok. Good selection of beer and wine.
It was our first time at Pa'La. We tried five different dishes and all were fabulous! The service was awesome as well. We will definitely be back!
Very good! The menu seemed small on line but they had lots of specials once you were in the restaurant. We had apps, pizza and dessert, everything was amazing. The service was great too. Highly recommend
What a fantastic space, staff, location and menu. Lunch was amazing!
A…mazing, everything was so fresh and delicious. The best customer service, they describe everything and give great suggestions. Great experience!
Pricy but worth it. Impeccable service. Creative menu. A legitimate five star addition to downtown.
Excellent service. Servers very helpful in selecting food. Portions not very large and pricey. Must order multiple selections to feel full, although they are advertised as a "Tapas" restaurant.
Would return in the future.
The restaurant had a great vibe. The wine list was excellent. The food was fine, nothing too special.
Wow! Out to dinner with friends (table for four). Every course was a delight to view and was delicious. Everyone in our party was very happy with their drink selection. I cannot wait to return.
Wonderful food ! Great atmosphere and service.
Very accommodating chef.
Food was great! Service staff was amazing. Next time I’m Phoenix Will visit
Amazing service and experience!!
Good and drink served by a friendly waitress. Made for a pleasant evening.
Pa’La Downtown was fantastic. Everything was delicious and I loved the ambiance.
Everything was great
Excellent service and food!
Outstanding! Service was phenomenal, food was excellent quality, perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented.
Totally different from the original Pa’la Kitchen experience. Still serving wonderful food, elevated and in a much more upscale environment. Still has that home cooked, authentic feel. Caught off guard in the best way. My daughter enjoyed the anchovies and tuna crudo, my wife and I loved the bone marrow special, and the orecchiette with gulf shrimp, the steak and the halibut. Pizza was perfect. Fantastic flavors and great service!! Can’t wait to come back.
First time at the new Pa’La Downtown. Fabulous fabulous fabulous!!
Love this new location. Great food, service and ambiance. Can’t wait to go back. Worth the drive downtown.
The menu is small, even for tapas. Seafood included a 2 piece shrimp option, a 3 small scallop option and octopus. The margarita pizza was basically crust and sauce with one or two small pieces of mozzarella. It was awful. We actually went to Blanco across the street after we left because we were still hungry after spending $60 here. If you want a snack it’s probably fine, but if you want dinner don’t go.
We tried just about the entire menu. Everything was delicious. Anything with octopus will be fantastic, the pizzas are the perfect balance and texture. The cocktails are tasty too.
