Pakpao is one of my favorites in dallas. They never miss on food quality and the service is usually outstanding and good on a bad day. I have tried many items on the menu and have never been disappointed.
The food and service are consistently very good. Ditch the loud music at lunch! It's so unnecessary and my strong preference is to enjoy conversation while having my meal
Beef Jerky trio was by far the table favorite!
What happened Pakpao? My pad see eew was pale, lacking flavor, and wet for $18. The prawn dish was the same little shrimp as in the pad see eew for $34. It took 20 minutes to get drinks in an almost empty restaurant. All my favorite items on the menu are gone. Now you are just overpriced generic Thai. I am sorry to see it happen. I hope you get your mojo back and recover.
Excellent food with scattered and disorganized service. Took 25 minutes to get our appetizers - it seemed the restaurant was putting priority on to-go orders. It's amazing to me that separate checks are so befuddling in today's age of technology, but all but one of our checks was incorrect.
As for the food, it was good, with good portions and authentic flavors. Everything came out piping hot and very tasty.
Steven did a great job and the food was excellent. We'll definitely be returning.
Good food, good service. Not your typical thai restaurant. Wine list is bit on to the pricey side.
Go for the Thursday lunch drunken noodles special. Highly recommend!
Remains a very good lunch spot. Portions are sizable and prices are a bit high. However, the Monday (pad thai) and Thursday (drunken noodles) specials are reasonably priced.
Food is fresh and served hot.
We've visited this restaurant before and it never disappoints. My sister came in town from Peoria and they don't have really varying foods to choose from so I brought her her with a couple of others. You can't go wrong with anything you order from the menu. The portions are plenty and flavorful. We shared 2 appetizers and entrees. I highly recommend if you've never been or just want to try something new!
Not covid-friendly at all
From the jump the service here was pretty bad. Took an hour and 15 minutes from time we ordered to receive our meals. A cup of soup ordered as an appetizer was brought out with the meals... we were told by our waiter and the manager that they soup would not be charged since it took so long but still showed up on our bill. The waiter from what I could tell was avoiding us because the soup was taking so long but then because of this was not attentive to refilling our drinks, etc. I love the food here but the service was truly bad enough to ruin the dinner.
Always great service and food. We sat on patio and would have been a little nicer if the heaters had worked. Was a bit cool, but the staff did all they could to get heaters working.
Social distancing was above and beyond minimum requirements. However, that could have been a result of a slow night (Tuesday).
Excellent presentation, high quality service, food was amazing!
The service was great. Our server and staff were very attentive. The quality of the food was poor.
Called before arriving to my reservation to confirm that my table was ready and outside as I requested. They ensured me it was ready and reserved. When I arrived they had given away our table to a party that was over 45 min late to their reservation as we were on time. Extremely horrible service. Was incredibly rude to us. Didn’t accommodate or make any indication of apologizing or making it right. We ended up leaving after the incredibly rude service. The host was horrible. He flat out lied to us and then ignored us.
This place has a great patio, unique and delicious cocktails and apps. They offer your dish to be “Thai hot”, which I really appreciated since I love super spicy food, but unfortunately my chicken came out really dry. My friend ordered the same dish and didn’t have that problem, so I’m sure it was a one-off. The Pad Thai is really good, and try the Watermelon cocktail on the Skinnies menu; it’s made with fresh watermelon!
My new "go-to" Thai restaurant. Attentive staff, nice vibe and decor, food was solid. Their old fashioned ranks up with the best in DFW.
First time here and Service was awesome! My first time and our server Doug was amazing I loved it!!!!! Will be coming back food was good
Awesome hot and sour soup and spectacular spring rolls—drunken noodles were delicious, too—service was extra nice
Great atmosphere with delicious food. An overall superior experience. Best Thai cuisine in Dallas.
Amazing service & curry special was incredible!
Daughter’s 13th birthday. Food was great, service was outstanding.
Service was great, food was great. Perfect experience as usual
Food is sooo good. Would definitely eat there again
Great respite from the Summer heat, with a very delicious menu, great drinks, and wonderful service (waiter Doug was awesome!)!! Loved the music, chaleritas and decor too!
Great Thai restaurant in a great location. Great service and even greater food. Love the Thai donuts!
Amazing food! Great environment. Can’t wait to get back for another dinner!
We’ve been wanting to eat here for awhile now. So glad we finally came. Erin, at the bar (where we ate), was wonderful, in spite of a very busy Friday night. In spite of the crowd, the food delivery was spaced perfectly, the service spot on and friendly. The food, oh the food. We started with the wings—-you have to try these. So crispy and so flavorful. Cooked just right. We also shared the beef jerky—awesome! They sometimes run out so we were lucky to get some. And finally...the pad thai.....probably one of the top two I’ve ever had. Seriously great stuff. I can’t wait to go back on a Monday for the pad thai special. Drinks were good and cold, as was the beer. Just a fantastic experience!
Our server was excellent. The food was quite good, but the portions were small for the price. Parking is convenient.
PakPao is my ‘go-to’ restaurant when I’m meeting friends or family. I know the food will be fresh and beautifully presented, so no worries there. Sometimes the music is a bit loud for easy conversation but, at my request they will lower the volume.
The service can be spotty at times. I’ve had extraordinary experiences and also times when my water glass was never refilled. I think that’s just a part of the business that’s hard to maintain. Generally the service is fine.
All in all, I recommend it frequently and enjoy the food immensely!
Pakpao is usually wonderful! The service this time was lackluster at best (understaffed) and the food was not up to usual standards (chicken was overcooked and dry).
You were packed. It started badly because my ice tea tasted old. It did not taste fresh. My friends hot tea was week and when we sent it back they packed it with tea leaves. The spring rolls were not tight and filled. They were loose with not a lot of noodles. I have them everywhere and the flavor was fine they were just loose and not filled appropriately. I hate to complain but you asked.
Food wasn’t very good and cocktail was awful
Can’t pass up on the $8 drunken noodles! They are delicious.
Food and drinks were good.
Normally I love this place...it's always a great meet up spot for a quick meal. We chose it because we had a limited amount of time for lunch. Unfortunately the service was unusually slow and the flavor of our meals was slightly less than normal which left room for improvement. I'll try again and hope to have a better experience next time.
The food had good flavor, and they were very accommodating to my food allergies. But my food was delivered partially cold (because we saw it sit under the lights while we finished our appetizer.) Cold food ruins the experience. And the music was so loud we literally had to scream at each other - om a Tuesday night. It was not even busy!
Favorite restaurant!! Great for double dates!
