Paisans Pizzeria was started by Luigi as a family business in Cicero, Illinois, back in 1985. Luigi started with one small oven, filling orders one at a time. Service was very slow. Didn’t order the deep dish and still took almost an hour for pizza to arrive. People that were seated 10-15 min after us got their pizzas before us. Made us wonder if the server forgot to place order with kitchen. Server didn’t check on beverages very often. Not the best experience.

The buser who cleaned our tables spoke to us more than our own server. The pizza didn’t have any spinach and the waiter charged me for something he originally said was free and added a side of dressing i didn’t ask for that cost $1.20. Was on my list of places to visit from ig but wasn’t pleased. The cleaner was the sweetest tho and very personable.

This was the worst pizza I have ever had and the mozz sticks tasted like freezer burn. The service was good and the place is cute. But a frozen pizza would have been better. That’s how shocked I was at the quality of pizza. It was pretty empty at dinner time which should have been a clue.

I had salmon and my husband had a spicy pasta dish. Both entrees came with a choice of soup or salad. We both choose salad and were very happy with our meal. Our server was efficient and attentive. However, the restaurant was very busy and we ended up canceling our desert order because it was taking an unreasonable amount of time. We felt that the food was reasonably priced and tasty. We are visiting Chicago for five days and are going back to Paisan’s tonight, our last night in Chicago.

I have a new favorite salad! Roasted veggies, chicken and the best dressing, yummm. Pizza was the best, my daughter ordered with extra sauce, I have to remember to do that when I order now. Service was remarkable, the server even gave us updates an how much longer it would be for our pizza to arrive, and my husbands soda was refilled just as he finished, this is a big deal in this opinion of a restaurant. It really was one of my favorite experiences, Great Job Paisans!

I have been going to Paisans since the 80s when I was still living in Cicero. They have a great ambience with great service and of course great pizza and food in general. Their bunch menu is great. Service is great...Well run business.

The appetizers were amazing, but the actual stuffed pizza was undercooked and had raw dough and very sweet. We had ordered takeout during shutdown, and pizza was the same, but figured was opening mistake, and gave another chance. Would order something other than stuffed pizza, and appetizers were good enough to rate trying something else.

I walked 1+ miles to the venue; however, when I got there it was closed 😡 I re-checked the hours on my app and my accepted reservation time. No indication the venue would be closed.

Service was pretty poor. Took my parents for dinner with no expectations this was 5 star quality. It was an average Friday night. 1) the bartender served us flat beers, later acknowledging the CO2 was out but continued to serve flat beers to other customers 2) took well over 20 minutes to get a cocktail that had melted ice by the time it was served 3) the servers kept forgetting dishes we ordered. When we reminded them, it was more efficient to grab our food from the window ourselves. In the end, they automatically charged 20% gratuity and charged us for the flat beers we didn’t drink. They did eventually discount us, which ended up being the only satisfying quality of the meal.

The server was good antld attentive, we got everything we needed in a timely manner. The sampler platter was delicious. The beer was also great. The only issue I had was with their "deep dish" pizza. Please do not call a pan pizza deep dish. They are NOT the same. This is not deep dish. MAYBE I'll try their thin crust another time, but maybe I won't.

Good food and value. Server was very nice, pleasant professional; but a bit slow at times (had to hunt him down for our check). But he looked like he was a college student, so will give him a pass. Good mix of families, professionals and young folks; great vibe. Nice, open airy windows, good environment (we were lucky enough to score a table by the windows, which gave it that cafe effect. Hoping the owners will consider putting a cafe out front when it gets warmer, would make it a really great spot.

We showed up for our reservation and were informed that the restaurant was closed. According to the bartender, their hours are wrong on OpenTable, and they actually close at 8PM (our reservation was at 8:30). We had been there once before, and the food was good. Bartender was friendly. We really wanted to support this new restaurant, but I can't imagine we will be back after this experience. There are plenty of other great pizza places in the neighborhood who know how to keep a reservation. I hate to leave a one-star, but there's no other rating that makes sense considering that we weren't even able to dine here and had to scramble to find something else to eat. Disappointing. Please update your hours!
