Went there for the Valentine's Day celebration and the celebratory menu was awesome. I had the short ribs and it was one of the best short ribs I've ever had. The bread pudding was excellent. I will return today.
They gave our table to another party and then made us wait 45 mins in the cold while seating other people.
We love wing Wednesday!
I celebrated my birthday here this past week and it was perfect! The patio seating had heaters and there was flat screens outside for entertainment. I'd rather opt for music, but the food held my attention soon as it made it's way to our table. The food was hot, fresh and soo delicious! I ordered the Pa'ina wings and kimchi rice. These sweet chili wings are delectable and totally worth trying. I will definitely be back soon!!!
Excellent customer service! Was seated inside but was socially distant from others. Loved their chicken Katsu moco! It was super yummy. Drinks were really good too.
Great environment for COVID dining. Staff was helpful and called to asked the day before if I wanted indoor or outdoor seating.
Today was a simple family gathering; we had some seniors so we requested indoor seating. The ambiance was great with very spaced out seating. Taste of food and quality has always been my favorite from this location!
had my blue hawiian drink remade due to bartenders error and when i got my drink it was half full with ALOT of ice in it, all for $15(Really?!!). Server didnt ask me if i wanted my spam musibi fried or regular. Overall for what i paid for, for drinks and food- the price is a little too much. I was charged 2x for the drink and had to point that out in my bill. I really wanted to wnjoy the food and drinks, but not a memorable moment. I would only recommend when they have entertainment night and im in the area.
I felt safe with their COVID-19 procedures. Food and service were excellent. They have the most amazing cocktails 10/10, I would highly recommend.
The food was excellent and the table service was cordial and efficient. However, the evening started out badly which set the tone for the overall experience. Let me explain. After I had made the reservation, Sean from the restaurant called and confirmed the reservation was for a table of six. I was asked if we would like a table inside or out. We requested a table outside. I was then advised that the table would be on a high-top and there would be a mushroom heater next to the table, to which I responded that would be perfect. Upon arrival, the host set a regular rectangle table against the wall and set six seats on three sides of the table. It wasn't a high-top table and there was no lamp. Picture six people on a table designed for 4 and only using 3/4 of the table. I explained to the host our reservation request and he said there were no notes in the system. He then asked how we made our reservation which I said thru OpenTable. He started to say, "that's why", which I then cut him off and told him of my reservation confirmation call with Sean. This was our first restaurant outing since Covid-19 started and was not comfortable sitting inside. In hindsight, being crammed around a table was probably not a prudent idea either. We're all friends and could deal with being crammed around a table but were not prepared for no heat and being seated NEXT TO A TV with the NBA finals being played. This I believe was the reason we did not get our reserved table. The high-top tables with the heat lamps were across the aisle and were occupied with 2 to 3 people each. These people were there when we got there and still there when we left. We were left in the cold with a blaring TV next to us. Not a good evening. For this, we will never go back.
Enjoyed this venue. Some of the food is great and some of it is a bit bland. The service was friendly, but with some mistakes. Would go again, but also they could fine tune and make it better.
Incredible place. Loved everything about it.
Great service! We'll definitely be going back!!!!!
Food was mediocre for the price paid. Poku was nothing special. Octopus salad was the best item.
Great table, service& food at excellent prices. Fabulous pineapple bread pudding with coconut ice cream!
We had pork buns (Pig Bao) and spicy peppers, which were both good. I would have liked a little more spice or flavor in the bao, so 4 stars. Service was just okay for not being too busy on a Thursday night, as we had to flag waitress down to get a drink order place, so 3-stars.
Cavernous uncomfortable space. Place was not busy but had to summon the server twice. Server was not particularly gracious.
This is a super fun place to have drinks and small plates that are delicious and not over priced! The staff is super friendly and attentive. They have a great Happy Hour.
My only criticism is that they are trying to cultivate a Hawaiian vibe with the food and drinks, but the decor is modern industrial with TV's playing sports everywhere. So is it Hawaiian, a sports bar, or a hipster place? They would have done better to do Hawaiian themed decor to go with the vibe, drinks, and menu.
Taco Tuesday is awesome.
Roasted cauliflower was undercooked.
Great place to meet people before a movie!
Excellent overall, with generous, larger than expected portion sizes. Fish tacos, Kahlua pork tostada, Spammie (musubi), Spam Mac and cheese all amazing. The seafood black garlic noodles had decent texture but much too salty. The clams that topped the noodles tasted like they were previously frozen, and were disappointingly tough and flavorless.
Great place for groups, roomy not too noisy and the hospitality of the staff makes it work. Food is delicious and vegan options available, although we went on no beets Sunday. Will have to go back.
It was great! I am a regular for Wednesday’s so I’ll keep coming.
Was there for a casual dinner with my friend. There was a table of Asian guys whom were super loud :-(
The food was excellent and the service was very prompt and friendly. They even have local flavors for mimosas like Lilikoi and POG! Definitely worth a try. Has become our go-to brunch spot.
Super fun. Great brunch menu.
Always come here for the wings!! Been here a few times and it never disappoints
Great for large tables / events. Even better if there's playoffs and you can watch the game on any of the large tvs or projectors. My birthday happened to be on the same night as a Warriors game and it was perfect for a group of 20!
Awful place I was with a friend in his 70s and they would not let him use an available bar seat as they said during that time standing only. The waiter was rude. This restaurant does not deserve customers.
Hi, we apologize for the less than desirable experience you had with us. This is definitely not a standard experience here at Pa'ina. Do you think we can get more information to see if there was a possible miscommunication? We will follow up with the staff regarding this incident to make sure that we relay this information better in the future.
Where else can you get $0.25 wings? A true hidden gem in SF.
Great food. We went during happy hour and the food was delicious. Love the wings, sliders, and nachos and their various drinks. Our server was great and took every order we had (there was a lot). March madness all around so it made for a great scene
Excellent wings deal. 10/10 would return.
Absolutely delicious food - ahi tuna was the freshest around and great wait staff
Brought out entree while eating appetizer. Desert brought out 30 min after finishing entree.
Such a fun casual place! Great for families due to the easy menu - spam musubi and chicken wings along with the Loco Moco. My kids ate everything! The unexpected plus was that the restaurant has huge TVs and they were playing the GS Warriors game, so we could have a family meal and watch the game. We will be back!
Dont let the looks put you off. The food and service are great!
Wing Wednesday is a must! The bison wasn’t very good in my opinion, but everything else was pretty good. Will define toy be back.
great wings and mac and cheese
Great variety of food and so delicious! We loved it.
Service was friendly but ineffective. Drinks never came. Removed friendly waiter. Then one came but not the other. Reminded again. 2nd drink came. Similar drill with the food. Shrimp tacos were delicious; rest of meal was tasteless and otherwise unremarkable - including the poke.
Great space and delicious food. Perfect for bigger groups
