Bday dinner was amazing!!!
Masterful dishes inspired by local favorites with consistently great wine pairings. Truly one of the best fine dining restaurants in Honolulu.
I had the 4 course tasting menu and it was delicious. I sat at the chefs tasting and it was amazing to see how organized the kitchen is. The only downside to my meal was the entree, it felt very lackluster. I had the hamachi and while it wasn't over cooked, the outside was seared very hard and was dry. There was a swizzle of a sauce on the plate but it needed a sauce. Other than that the other 3 courses (Cornbread, Curry Pasta and Brownie) were heavenly!
Fine dining done very well. Highly recommend doing the tasting menu with wine pairings. Wish I could add more photos. The attention to detail is exceptional here. Will be back
We left our kids at the resort for a date night during our vacation.
I was amazed that I booked chef’s tasting menu at the last minute.
We were also encouraged by our cab driver that we were headed to fantastic place. Yes, Pai was fantastic! From start to ending the staff were friendly and very accommodating. We waited for counter seating where we saw our meals getting prepared to perfection.
I am not going to describe the dishes I had, it’s something you have to experience it yourself and I will not do the justice anyway.
Prix Fixe menu was awesome. My wife and I each selected different dish choices so we could experience a wide variety of flavors. Very attentive service. Excellent food, not too rich nor too much.
Great staff and Great Meal
Amazing dishes, creative tastes, the curry farfulle home made was fantastic, hamachi, crab avocado salad candy cane beets, wines were superb
It was excellent ,the food was exceptional , the chef has a very good taste
Fantastic cocktails, fantastic price fix 4 course menu
Tucked in a luxury apartment complex at the edge of downtown , Pai is a hidden gem. About 25 tables total and bar, the menu is filled with creative and delicious options from appetizers to homemade gelatos for dessert. Get a drink by the mixologist, enjoy the musters or lobster and avocados, and if the Maitake mushroom is on the menu, definitely get it.
Pleasant staff and nice ambience inside the restaurant.
Service and food were amazing! We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and the chef sent over freshly baked red velvet chocolate chip cookies that were the perfect end to a delicious meal! Will definitely come back in the future!
Service was extremely slow. Main course was both undercooked and cold when it arrived. Portions very small even for a fine dining restaurant.
We went to Pai for our anniversary while visiting Oahu, and it was honestly one of the best dinners we’ve ever had. We were blown away by both the attentiveness of the staff and the quality of the food. We reserved kitchen counter seats as well, and it was cool to be able to interact with the chef as the dishes came out.
It definitely is on the pricer side, however the experience is amazing, and I highly recommend their tasting menu to anyone looking for an unforgettable meal.
Service was great. Presentations of food were excellent. Our family enjoyed the experience.
The service at this restaurant was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I wish I could remember the waiter’s name. He was very professional. The restaurant is clean and in a good location. The food was good, but the menu lacks options for entree’s.
Compare what you have with Roy's or Longhi's in Koolina
And, you'll see what I mean
And the parking sucks.
Excellent menu though limited. The selections really demonstrated the kitchens skill and creativity. Though not extensive, the menu had something for all tastes. Service was very attentive, knowledgeable and helpful.
PAI remains to be in my top favorite restaurants of Honolulu.
The fact that the menu continuously evolves and changes is reason to come whether you’ve been there before or not.
The cocktails are fantastic and crafted to perfection.
The ambiance is beautiful and perfect for a date.
The service is amazing and every interaction is very professional and elegant.
We were happy to have Nelson again and he did a fantastic job with the timing of every course and the decisions of the wine pairings. His knowledge and passion shine and he has a very conformable/approachable demeanor.
The food was fantastic with perfect portions.
We left feeling completely satisfied and ready to sing the praises to all our friends and acquaintances.
Mahalo PAI for another great experience 🤙🏼
We came in for a Thursdate
The food was excellent
Cavier appetizer was amazing
The Hamachi was absolutely Perfect
Service was good with a bit of space
Looking forward to doing the Chef Tasting
The 5 spice pork belly lacked flavor and was tough. In general, our meals could use more spice. Not worth the price
Akea and staff are exceptionally kind and attentive. Other restaurants gave us a hard time about having a baby stroller but this staff was very accomodating. The food and drinks were exceptional!! We will be back! Mahalo!
The entire staff was extremely friendly. The service was great, and the food was amazing!! Really original dishes, chef Kevin really brings out so much in the ingredients!
Creative takes on old favorites. The Beef Truffle Dry-Aged Dan Dan Noodles elevated a comfort food to an entirely new level through a combination of flavors from various cuisines. My Hamachi was roasted to a reasonable doneness, but it became special when paired with a tapenade-like side. all dishes - appetizers, Paste, Entrees and Desserts - were elegantly presented. The portions were not large, but we were surprised at how satisfied we felt by the time dessert was served. The great food combined with attentive service made our night at Pai very memorable.
Love the open kitchen and the presentation of the food.
Mother's Day menu was great. The mushroom lasagne is eclectic; not your typical Italian lasagne, but delicious in its own unique way. Hubby enjoyed his Lobster Risotto so much I had to remind him that licking the bowl was unacceptable in such a classy place. The Vanilla Custard French Toast dessert is not your mother's breakfast French Toast. The Japanese sweet bread, mint, and honey roasted strawberries gave it a very nice dessert-like flavor, not to mention the foie gras "snow" (for an additional $15, but worth it). Who knew foie gras goes well with French Toast?
Was our anniversary and they knew it and had customized menus congratulating us and provided us a celebratory glass of champagne. Service was the best I've had in years. Will 100% be back and can't say enough about how good the food and service was.
Delicious food. Good service
Extraordinary tasting menu. What a treat! The fennel panna cota was perhaps the best thing I’ve ever tasted. Service friendly and relaxed. Interesting and gorgeous settings. Cocktails different and worth a try!
Pai is an excellent location for a celebration dinner. Our group felt safe and comfortable sitting in the outdoor area and were very happy with the service, food and atmosphere. It's a must visit while you're in Honolulu!
Excellent meal with great service. Will definitely be back.
The food was good but they came out slow. Server forgot my dessert order. And they only gave us togo box without any bag. Everytime you go to restroom, server has to take you since they have to keep the keys. Its very inconvenient. May be that was the reason why the service was slow.
pai provided a diner’s delight. Impeccable service and delicious food. It would be nice to offer a few alternatives to two prix fixed menus, although I understand the concept behind it.
Excellent in every way, but mostly for special occasions.
Excellent as always!
Incredible staff, incredible service, impossibly perfect food.
amazing food and amazing experience! One of the best dinners I had on my trip!
Service and food excellent.. Chef and team BRAVO!
Excellent food with very attentive service. The prix fixe price is good value for what it is (it's not cheap but the quality is so good that for that price it is well worth it if you're looking for a luxury dining experience.)
Love how clean the restaurant is. They have a bottle of sanitizer on each table for use. Great service and the tasting menu was awesome.
