Dave was great to give us info about the menu. I have special dietary needs and they were awesome to accommodate. Peerless service and great food.
Wonderful food, our waiter was slow to start off, and he gave us a desert to make up for it. I love their food and will continue to return.
Pago is consistently excellent with their menu, taste and appearance. The service is always great too. They are doing social distancing correctly and taking the safety of their guests seriously.
Amazing farm to table dinner
Super cute place with delicious food.
Incredible service, incredible food. Excellent design and mood.
We have loved Pago for many years but we were not sure how it would be soon after the reopening post-coronavirus. But it was great, every bit as good as before. Joe took care of us and was fantastic. He decanted our wine and was very attentive. We had a great dinner, it’s good to have this restaurant back!
Everything was a 10/10 once again this evening.
Top-notch food and service in intimate setting. Go now while you can still get a reservation!
Been here many times...used to be great meal though lost its luster...horrible overcooked steak and terrible service twice running. Not sure what happened to this place but last two times dined here poor from start to finish.
We've eaten here 4-5 times and each visit has consistently been very good. I like the small size and the pleasant atmosphere. Efficient service and always interesting food. They have a small menu but they cover the typical food choices. Both the sea bass and Pago burger were very good; the burger is very big. We finished with the bread pudding, which was also very good. No complaints for this visit.
The duck breast was really goodAnd the hamburgers of always been good
Our waiter was terrific - Paco. Food was really good and drinks were great. Great hang with good friends for wife’s birthday.
Great food. We had been there once before and had did not remember what it was like so we wanted to try it again. It was great. The food was excellent. Menu is a little small so not much to choose from.
This place always impresses! It's prices are fair for what you are getting!
Thank you for your review Nicholas!
Not for Valentines day cost us $450 alot I think tip was included but then we put on extra 20% not realizing... until we added it up later in our heads but still $400 is too much. And we each only had one rib of lamb as our main course. We had to pick up food after to fill full.
The food was ok—not worth the value. I've had better meals for a third of the price. The overall space is too small and you can hear everything.
I might recommend this restaurant for a regular night vs valentines. Service was amazing but food was not worth the value.
Thank you for your review Clancy! I'm glad your service experience was great, we would love to have you in again for regular service!
Delicious meal, great atmosphere, perfect for hosting an intimate professional dinner.
Excellent hearty fare for vegetarians. Meat eaters too, but we vegetarians appreciated having creative and substantial options. Solid wine program, both by the glass and bottle.
We were visiting SLC , and someone recommended Pago. It was a short drive from our downtown hotel, in a very nice neighborhood, and well worth it. The food is special and very well prepared. Our server was friendly and professional, and we appreciated her help deciding what to order. I hold a good memory of Pago.
I really wanted to like this place. Went in with high hopes. Rustic interior with family-style atmosphere, modern American cuisine with a redacted menu. What could go wrong?
Price point was relatively high but definitely in the forgivable range if the food was good. Decent wine selection with reasonable prices.
First, service was super slow. Friendly crew but it took almost an hour till we got our main course.
Second, random ingredients and tastes appeared in random places. I had the duckbreasts. All was good but with burnt brussel sprouts and vinegar dipped mushroom... just didn't go well. And slightly tough duck. For dessert, I had the chocolate cremeux which had a thick banana cream squirted on top which surprising did not go well together with the chocolate. Almost absurd since those two tastes are supposed be made in heaven.
Third, the hamachi crudo... awesome but with so little for that price... hmmm...
Left quite disappointed. Perhaps I shouldn't have had such expectations. But then, that's what the rest of the reviews and pics on Google insinuate. Won't be returning most likely.
The kale Caesar was outstanding. The gnocchi: AMAZING. Even the Pago Burger is noteworthy. Cannot wait to go back. So lucky to have this restaurant in our neighborhood. Our server Paco was knowledgeable and helpful.
Small restaurant in the 9th and 9th area of Salt Lake City; limited but adequate menu; food quality and service are both excellent. Unique 'measured' wine pours in both 3 and 5 ounce amounts. Rotating wine selection, caters to the 'unusual' local wines. Always a pleasant 'surprise'.
The sea bass was one of the best meals I’ve ever had.
They were out of everything. They waited for us to order before they said they were out. So we had the one thi left on the menu and they burned it. It was awful.
Best service I’ve ever had dining out. Food was soooooo tasty delicious too! You can tell the staff work as a team to create a special product for each customer. Very impressed with Pago and I cannot wait to go back!
Good food. Amazing service. My only negative....the restaurant was very cold.
Good experience. This was our second time at Pago. The staff was really accommodating, and this is one of the reasons why this place is really good. Some of the items on the menu were excellent, like the duck and the steak options. The pretzel crusted porkchop was great for some and so, so for others. A simple, really great porkchop without the pretzel crust is what everyone was looking for!!! The Gnocci was a great app, and the oysters were superb and the soup was great. The mixed cheese plates left a bit to be desired, I would highly suggest re-crafting this specific item on the menu as there are not a lot of shareable options. Our team enjoyed the visit.
David is a wonderful server. He's very engaging but also very professional. I wish I could give him more compliments and the eggs bene was delicious!
Great! Went for a birthday date it was wonderful
The ambiance was great. It was a cold evening, and even though we were not sat particularly close to the door, whenever it opened a harsh draft would come through and reach us. Food was yummy. I can highly recommend the poutine. I was disappointed to only see one vegetarian entree option, few GF options and no vegan options.
Beet Salad, Artisan Cheese Plate and Pago burger. We get the same thing every time and it's absolute perfection. Once in a while, the burger's doneness is a little off. Usually, it's spot on.
I took away a star because the coffee is bad. Really, really bad. The Bread Pudding was amazing. The coffee awful. And coffee with dessert is REQUIRED for me. Can't they just go back to Salk Lake Roasting Co.?
Food was very salty!! Steak was over cooked. The waiter said that I would be safe with medium rare but it was medium at best. The fries were suppose to be truffle but no truffle taste to be found.
Too close too door - cold blasts from outside when anyone came into (or left) the restaurant. Person on door side had to wear coat during the meal.
A great experince . While we had to wait for a bit it was worth it
The restaurant called me four times to confirm my reservation. I input my credit card in the open table app and I was called to next day to provide my credit card number again over the phone. Pago proceeded to call me multiple times to confirm my reservation and even asked if I knew how much the tasting menu would be (insinuating that I couldn’t afford it).
We had a table of 6 and yet we received the same size portions as a table of 4. We paid for the full tasting menu and were cheated out of our full meal. Our server failed to clear empty glasses and plates in a timely manner and did not attend to our water glasses. The food was mediocre compared to the last 4 New Year’s Eve dinners that I have previously attended at Pago. To top this off the price had gone up from years past. The dessert was lackluster but it has never been something that Pago is known for. All in all a rather disappointing meal. The best part was the company I enjoyed it with.
The hamburger was delicious
We had the perfect dining experience! When you make a reservation, get everyone together and spend a lot of money, you really want everything to be great! Thankfully, Pago nailed it! The food, the service, the table, it was all excellent! My parents have a lot of dining experience and they were blown away! Thanks Pago!
