We waited a hour for our table despite having a reservation. Once we sat down, we waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged by our waitress. Food was good. But probably won’t recommend due to wait time.

Had a group of four. Got seated right on time. The restaurant has such a fun open air vibe. They, just like every restaurant in the neighborhood, were very busy on a Saturday night, which made the service painfully slow. Had empty drinks all through dinner, which killed the vibe. Food was good. They just seemed overwhelmed.

Seemed like restaurant was understaffed. Very long wait for food, difficult to get a waiter’s attention for water refills. After waiting 45 min, we asked waiter for more bread, and he said no, they only give it when you first sit down. Food quality was average, not special.

Terrible experience. Our Opentable reservation was not taken into account. They operate on a first come first serve, so we waited for 30 minutes to be seated. We waited another 15 minutes to get our orders taken. The room is so busy and loud, we couldn’t have any conversation at our table of 7 people. Food was just ok. Pasta are not home made. Olive oil is not high quality. Price for the value is high. Our waitress wasn’t friendly although doing her job, super busy handling other tables drinks and orders. We do not recommend this place at all.

Awful. Arrived 10 minutes before reservation time. Restaurant was packed, overbooked, brightly lit, and extremely noisy. At least five other parties *with reservations* were crammed into the entry way (no place to wait), pushing each other, and being pushed and barked at by waiters and bus boys (which was valid, we were 100% in the way and it is not their fault). A host of sorts emerged at 8:10 (8:00 reservation). After 10 minutes of being ignored, my fiancé flagged him down and asked about our 8:00 reservation. He laughed and said to "get in line". We left the restaurant, so please disregard the star ranking for food quality.

This was the worst Little Italy experience we’ve ever had in Boston. We had a reservation at 7:30 and were not seated until 8:15. There was no host, no communication, and we were passed over by 6 different parties. We were charged a $13 split fee to share an entree. The server was awesome but the overall establishment was a huge disappointment and put a complete damper on our entire night.

We ordered the special wild mushroom ravioli - which was loaded with fresh mushrooms and had a delicious alfredo sauce along with the eggplant parmesan which was also very tasty. The service was prompt and our server had great recommendations. We've been here three times and the restaurant has consistently performed each time - this time we ate outside and there was no less attention given to us and we have zero complaints! Thank you for another great meal!

Made reservations. We arrived and no one greeted us at the door. I went inside to find the host, all I could see were wait staff busy at tables. My husband approached a man and figured out he was the host, he seated us. After 30 minutes of no wait staff coming by and noticing that the couple sitting next to us was not being serviced as well, I went back to the host. I told him no one had been by and that we had been seated a half hour ago. He was not apologetic and said he was short staffed and his staff was busy. The host was aware customers were not being serviced since he was watching. A simple walk to our table to apologize and explain he was short staffed would have assured his diners he knew they were there. Not sure why you take reservations when you can’t adequately service them.

Restaurant was chaos. Numerous parties with reservations before ours had waited over an hour and weren’t seated. We waited an hour and left. In fairness, there was a festival and The Northend was mobbed, but this restaurant seems that it took anyone asking for a table and just tried to mix in reservations periodically. The owner was frantic and on the verge of a meltdown. This situation was caused by them not having a good process or just trying to get more people in than they should have. Other restaurants in the area were busy/packed also but were smart enough to turn away walk-ins so they weren’t overwhelmed.

"Disappointed" was the word of the night. I have been to Pagliucas a few times before and always enjoyed our meals. Perhaps they were just having an "off" night, but here's what happened... We arrived right on time for our reservation and were seated immediately. We then sat for nearly 30 minutes waiting to be acknowledged! We finally flagged someone down, who unceremoniously asked "whadaya want?" and pulled out her checkbook to take our order. I think I have been very patient during post-covid, as I know restaurants are short staffed and trying to keep up. But that is not the case here - there was plenty of staff running around. I was shocked to see how much the prices have increased since the last time I was here. Again, I know inflation is a thing, but $18 for a simple caprese salad? $30 for chicken parm?? And they have removed one of our favorites from their menu - no more Chicken Felix! We sat forever waiting for our food, at least an hour. Tables that arrived after us had their doggy bags before our meals even arrived. (There were only 3 of us; we were not a big party.) We never received water refills (even after we asked) or bread. Now, if our food was fabulous, I may not have minded the long wait. However, my meal was pure salt! The lobster ravioli did not taste of lobster, ricotta, or "pink" sauce. It only tasted of SALT. And having no water didn't help my situation. Dirty water glasses, dirty silverware. The cleaning practices we witnessed between customers was questionable, especially during covid. It was genuinely disappointing, as I know what Pagliucas is capable of. The question is - will I be returning to give them a second chance? I don't know.

Bad evening. Had reservations, did nt help. 2 1/2 hour meal. No service. Poor girl had too many tables. Food took forever and when it arrived it was subpar. Had many choices that night, we picked the wrong restaurant.

Oil was spilled on one member of our party when they first brought bread out to the table. A temporary shirt was supplied which was a nice gesture. The host then proceeded to take the table next to us order first even though we were seated 10 min before them. When we mentioned this fact to the hostess she appeared peeved and held a grudge against us reflected through small gestures the rest of the night like a 5 yr old. Overall - solid venue & good food, not a great one-time experience.

Pagliuca’s in a word is outstanding!!! It’s a must stop for any trip to the North End Joe and family make everything with the freshest ingredients. Simple and delicious. I love the homemade Cavatelli…. It melts in your mouth. The chicken with vinegar peppers and potatoes is old school and just explodes with flavor.. everything is made from scratch it’s like eating at grandmas house on a Sunday afternoon

I hate to leave poor reviews, but we were really disappointed here. The service was spotty, the server got the drink and food order wrong (wrong pasta types and incorrect alcoholic drinks) not entirely but for a couple people in our group. The noise level was louder than anything, couldn’t hear my friends talking 2 seats over… ridiculous. Lastly, the food quality was not good. My vegan friend was shown a box of Barilla pasta as his only vegan pasta option. A 99 cent box of pasta… yet he paid $21 for his meal (he got only garlic and oil on it). Sorry to say we won’t be returning.
