First server seemed confused and unable to help with simple questions like why were they so different from their sister restaurant in Ha llandale. He never returned to the table to explain why my dad could only have 1 lamb shank. Lamb shank was small and meat didn't fall off the bone. My father orders this dish at the Hallandale location when he goes there. Hallandale give you two shanks and they are always good. For some reason we were given another server when they food was served. She explained he was just helping her? I doubt it and it probably was because he never came back to table with any options.

Love the decor ! Very spacious and clean. Unfortunately they sat our party right outside the entrance to the kitchen! The restaurant was far from full so I didn’t understand the uncomfortable space for a party of 5 with reservations. Otherwise food and drinks were good.

Food was disappointing. Grilled chicken was tough and rubbery. Manager did comp one of the meals, though we told him we were not asking to be comped. It was a nice gesture on his part. Location is good, but that's not enough to get me back considering the other options available for Cuban food.

The restaurant is very pretty inside, however the day that we went they had a Buffett for lunch for $13 and went for it.
The food was just average - the service was horrible and our waitress seemed upset either at us or the world! I rather have Cuban food at Las Vegas Cuban restaurant. Won’t be running or walking back to this one anytime soon.

The restaurant just opened in the past month, I have been to other locations of this franchise. The welcome from the hostess was great and we were seated right away. In the front half of the restaurant they have chairs that are made of or a synthetic of ratan and they are very uncomfortable. The back half of the restaurant has norma dining chairs and I recommend you ask to be seated in the back.

The service was quick and efficient. The food was presented on "designer" plates made to fancy up a traditional Cuban dish (guess that is why they charge 25% more than other Cuban Restaurants in the area. Food tasted good but nothing special.

Good place to eat if you don't mind paying more for what you can get for less.

The new location easily accessible from Aventura.
For years always ate at the Hallandale location so eating at the new one did not take more than a second to meet family and we all loved it.

From Happy Hour to main course out of this world.

If we were not so full from the large portions we would dessert and sure that would have been delicious.

Last but not least the bar manager..manager of the restaurant as well as the service staff superb.

We will be back.

A really great place! Cuban food is delicious and the bar has a nice selection of Cuban cocktails as well as regular cocktails. Located in a shopping center near several hotels so good for travelers.

Service was slow. It took us 45 minutes to get our food. We were told it was because of a large party. The value compared to other restaurants like Las Vegas and LaCaretta is not there, and the food is not different. The food at other restaurants is actually better. The arroz con pollo is better at LaCaretta. The rice at Padrinos did not taste like authentic Cuban nor did the chicken cut up into small pieces. Plantains were good. The shrimp creole was okay but the portion was small. Dessert was flan and it was good but complimentary because of the slow service.

Great new restaurant in Dania Beach. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, we didn’t feel like we were on top of other diners even though every table was full. Our server was very nice but service was a little slow. Could possibly be just getting used to the new restaurant. Food was great. Good portions, flavorful. The food standard is the same as the other locations even though this was newly opened. Reservations are a must for a weekend. Glad we made them. Other diners were turned away for the evening as they didn’t have any tables remaining. Would definitely return. Nice to see new places to eat in Dania.

The address given on Compass Way is incorrect. When you click on the link for directions and it takes you to google maps, it will take you to some private gated community in Pompano, not in Dania. The guard at the gated community says they get people all the time but there’s no restaurant there. Open Table needs to correct this error. The guard thinks it’s not “Way” after the Compass name.

This location recently opened and is still ironing itself out. The menu is smaller than the Hallendale location.
