Padrino's Bistro Ratings and Reviews
We expected the restaurant to be crowded as it was Christmas Eve. What I didn’t expect was to be jammed in like sardines and constantly banged into by waitstaff walking past our table. At one point I was bumped so hard I hit my mouth on my glass while taking a drink. Not one person said “excuse me,” or “I’m sorry.” I had to move which made 5 of use on one half of the table. Awkward and unenjoyable. The service was lacking. Slow. Ordered 3 apps. 2 came out. When I ask for the 3rd it was brought out with our soup and salads. Our server never did a check back. Nor did he ask for a drink order. Our water glasses and bread were filled without asking by someone other than our server, who also got the beverages other than waters for us. The food was very good though. It was ashame this was my first Christmas Eve I chose to go out and left a bad taste in my mouth.
The artichoke appetizer was excellent. The pasta in my MISTO was too al dente and my wife's veal was tough. My daughter liked her risotto. We did not have dessert. The noise level was quiet and unobtrusive and the waiter was attentive. I've had better meals at Padrino's in the past.
We always enjoy the opportunity to dine at Padrino's. Although it's close to home, we'd certainly drive an hour or so to enjoy a fine Italian dinner here. Nightly specials often make looking at the menu unnecessary, so ask to hear those first. And remember to bring a bottle or two of your favorite wine.
Loved the food and our waiter was great. There was a private party that was separated from the rest of the restaurant by a divider but it didn't help with the noise level. However that will not deter me from going again or recommending it. Great place!
We both ordered specials, although there were plenty of appealing options on the regular menu. The seared tuna over angel hair pasta was wonderful, and just a tasty when I finished it for dinner the next day (yes, the portion size was that generous). My husband had the rib-eye with shrimp, roasted potatoes, and an array of mixed vegetables, all wonderfully prepared as well. We'll definitely return!
This was our first time at Padrinos and it was great we were there for my birthday and the food was ecellent as well as the service would definitly come back to Padrinos again lots of different food to choose from a little something for everyone to enjoy thanks for making my birthday night enjoyable!
The food and service was great! It was the perfect place to bring a large party (8) and celebrate a special occasion. I loved that there was bread on the table for us right away - it was delicious - and they opened our wine ASAP. The food was great, everyone enjoyed their meal. We really loved the accordion player that they had there. Next time we will have to try dessert!
We went on a Saturday night at 6PM. It was empty and extremely quiet, but we had a great waiter, Joe, and really enjoyed his personality and conversation. The food was plentiful and delicious. The last time we were there was at least 2 years ago, before it changed hands. The food was delicious then as well. The place could really use some bright colors and atmosphere. Since there are no windows the room appears very dark and almost dreary.
