Amazing staff that matched the wonderful food
Very good! Great service
Best duck tacos in the entire world!
The service was friendly and efficient. Food and cocktails were great! Don’t forget to save room for dessert.
We love their Mezcal cocktails & flights since we recently visited Oaxaca.
This was the second time that we were served by Max. He’s terrific and already seemed to recognize us and know what we like in order to make recommendations. The food is flavorful and delicious! Especially enjoyed the Arctic char tacos.
The food is overall very good! I've been twice. The pancakes de platanos was suprisingly good ( and I'm not a pancake fan). The "hash de pato" was great the first time but the second time it was okay -- it seemed a little on the burnt side and the flavors were hidden. Customer service is good but long to get order in some times. All said, I'd go back again.
Always so good!!!
Service slow and then rushed us.
The food was inedible. Noise was terrible. Service was good. Cocktails were good. I would never go back nor recommend it to anyone. You're better off grabbing a burrito on the Mission.
This is a really great neighborhood gem. Worth the drive from central SF to enjoy incredible cocktails, and unparalleled mezcal and tequila list, and really delicious food. Everyone in our group got exactly what they wanted and we all left feeling full and smiling...perhaps it was the drink! ;-) I will definitely go back the next time I visit SF.
First time at Padrecito. Recommended by my nephew who is a personal chef in SF. Nice ambiance, dark wood theme. Not a quiet place if that's what you're looking for. Lively would be a good description.
Sat in a booth in the bar area. Kind of dark though. Menu is on the small side which is good, because I don't like menus that are 10 pages long. I ordered the Chipotle Chilaqueles, which had duck as the protein, along with slice fava greens, fava leaves plus other stuff. All the ingredients worked well together. Spicy due to the Chipotle sauce which gave it a nice smokey flavor. I love hot and ordered some habanero sauce as well. The dish was a flavor explosion; one of the best dishes I've ever had. A lot of depth of flavor with the sauce and the richness of the duck.
On the other hand, my wife order the Ensalad Nortena, which she said was very average and not very flavorful, on the bland side. My brother had the Carnitas, which were very good and were served with a hot 7-layer dip, which is an unusual side, but it worked well with the corn tortillas.
So from my point of view, I loved the food.
Neighborhood gem. Love the bar and bar staff, especially the burly apron wearing mixologist. I discovered my new favorite cocktail, Amaro Montenegro.
They were able to seat us on a busy weeknight despite the fact that my wife made the OT reservation, using my account, for the wrong night. (My wife used to work at OT. )
Excellent as always. Love Mezcal Margarita and Crudo.
One of my fave brunch spots in the city.
Great service and amazing food!!! 10/10 will go back!
Celebrated a birthday with brunch. It was amazing.
Food was very good, as always, and the cocktails are always great. On this Saturday night we came in unusually early (6:15) with a reservation. For whatever reason, the host and servers all seemed harried and abrupt, as though things were on the verge of falling apart. Menus were tossed on tables, chairs were slammed in corners as tables were reset, and noise and mayhem generally prevailed for no apparent reason. Kitchen seemed to be running fine but the front of house staff were all acting overtaxed. All this on top of a blaring soundtrack that would have been perfect for a teen dance. Will make sure to avoid weekends here in the future.
Cannot think of anything on the menu that isn't delish - guac, tacos, ceviche, and the cocktails.
I’ve been to Padrecito several times, but last night the quality of food was the best it’s ever been. Service usually is good but again last night was excellent.
Pro: They were able to adjust our reservation time last minute when a few members of our brunch party were running late.
Pro: the food was excellent!
Con: the service (from placing our orders to receiving the food) was very slow, especially considering the restaurant was only half full!
Overall great experience. Would highly recommend!
Food and service were great! Cocktails flavorful and top-notch. Only complaints are that there was only one waitress working the top floor tables and the noise level was very high and made for difficult conversation.
Love Padrecito!
We enjoyed the food, but the restaurant was very loud (even though fairly empty at the time), and there was a strange antiseptic smell.
Everything was truly delicious! Great service / very thoughtful of our 1/2 kids 1/2 adults table (drinks for the grown ups but coloring sheets & quick not spicy food for the littles!). While I'd love it to be cheaper / the food is worth it - we loved it!
Perfect place for brunch with friends! Came with our 9 month old in tow and they were very child friendly which was much appreciated.
Very knowledgeable and attentive staff. Our server was very helpful and engaging. Corn appetizer and guacamole was awesome. The Gordita was excellent. We had the salted Carmel chocolate dessert and it was wonderful. Enjoyed the skillet steak tacos as well. Highly recommend the restaurant. The owner was great.
Brought my infant, and they were incredibly accommodating. We were able to reserve for a party of 8 with reasonable notice, and it was great for a party of that size. The food was excellent, would definitely brunch here again!
Both the food and the drinks we had were quite tasty. Just the right amount of spiciness.
Solid food options. Great tacos, but plenty to choose from beyond just the tacos.
Great food, great drinks!
we love this restaurant, great cocktails, great food, excellent service
Really fun night. The food exceeded our expectations; every dish was delicious, with unexpected twists. They treated us to Churos for my husband’s birthday - which was very sweet of them. I wouldn’t have ordered the churos, but like everything else, they were delicious and unexpected. We will definitely be going back.
Christmas office celebration
Great drinks! The food was good but not as expected. The girls and I had a great time.
The food was very disappointing. Everything else was OK.
Everything about Padrecito was exceptional....the only problem is trying to decide which dishes to enjoy because they all sound interesting. One cannot go wrong...with any combination of dishes. And, the alcohol beverages were also unique and worth a try.
Padrecito's remains the favorite of my visiting family members from out-of-town. the service was outstanding, and food tasty. We even stayed for dessert this time, and the churros and flan were great!
Disappointing and inflexible. Couldn't add chicken to a dish. Couldn't leave out an ingredient on another. Fine for drinks but not exceptional.
Really friendly staff, prompt service and delicious food! It’s our neighborhood go to hidden gem.
