Great food and drinks! You wanna get a reservation like we did, but we noticed a lot of people waiting.
I had the tomatoes soup with was amazing, it had great flavors and not just tomatoe, it had a slight spice to it, the avocado and cheese in it were great so add texture to the soup. Then I had the jimaca salad. Delicious! A little sweet and tangy with strawberries and blackberry yummm!
I wasn't able to have any of their drinks but my boyfriend had the Padrecito which had just the right amount of mezcal where it wasn't too smokey. I would love to come back and try the drinks myself.
Great food and Padrecito accommodated a 9th late addition without any issues! My friends from NY really enjoyed the place.
Nous y sommes retournés à 2 reprises dans la même semaine!
We went for Mother's Day brunch. Service was pretty slow, but maybe they were overwhelmed. It's a big brunch day after all. Staff all seemed to be hustling. Maybe we were just being ignored, lol.
Churros - off-the-hook good
Pancakes and Chilaquiles: really good. I'd go back for these.
Duck Carnitas hash - sounds better than it really is. The eggs and potato bits were good. The greens soaked up all the salty sauce, really overpowering the entire dish.
Great drinks and dinner options with a fun vibe. Loved our apps and dinner; Amazing mezcal-infused drinks; Good service; Definitely returning here!
Ear splitting noise level. First and last time here. Apps arrived a long time before drinks. A basic order and drop off joint for a lot of money. Food is tasty but not worth the price or the torture of the room. If your idea of a good meal is to scream at your date then this is the place for you.
Padrecito is consistently great. Great food, great service, great fun. Love coming here!
Went here for a birthday dinner. Had several dishes which we shared, and all were good. The only issue was some crazy customer insisted that the staff keep the lighting turned up really bright. If I'm ever there again with the crazy woman I'll ask to be seated somewhere else. The staff was really nice and tried to make us as comfortable as possible.
There is a bathroom right next to a couple tables. The entire meal smelled like the toilet.
We love this Padrecito!! The food is always flavorful and delicious. The staff is very friendly and they make great Margaritas!
This place was amazing! The dishes we ordered showed great creativity and tasty combinations of ingredients! We had the tuna crudo, Arctic char tacos were sooo delicious. The schoolteacher rub added Color and spice. But the duck tacos are the bomb!! With a marmalade and warm spices. This is a repeat dish next visit!
Amazing! Innovative, quality food. The best service!
Margaritas were fantastic! Carnitas was amazing, the pork belly was delicious but I wasn’t crazy about the sauce on the taco, too sweet
Food and drinks were great! Server not too friendly
Amazing staff that matched the wonderful food
Very good! Great service
Best duck tacos in the entire world!
The service was friendly and efficient. Food and cocktails were great! Don’t forget to save room for dessert.
We love their Mezcal cocktails & flights since we recently visited Oaxaca.
This was the second time that we were served by Max. He’s terrific and already seemed to recognize us and know what we like in order to make recommendations. The food is flavorful and delicious! Especially enjoyed the Arctic char tacos.
The food is overall very good! I've been twice. The pancakes de platanos was suprisingly good ( and I'm not a pancake fan). The "hash de pato" was great the first time but the second time it was okay -- it seemed a little on the burnt side and the flavors were hidden. Customer service is good but long to get order in some times. All said, I'd go back again.
Always so good!!!
Service slow and then rushed us.
The food was inedible. Noise was terrible. Service was good. Cocktails were good. I would never go back nor recommend it to anyone. You're better off grabbing a burrito on the Mission.
This is a really great neighborhood gem. Worth the drive from central SF to enjoy incredible cocktails, and unparalleled mezcal and tequila list, and really delicious food. Everyone in our group got exactly what they wanted and we all left feeling full and smiling...perhaps it was the drink! ;-) I will definitely go back the next time I visit SF.
First time at Padrecito. Recommended by my nephew who is a personal chef in SF. Nice ambiance, dark wood theme. Not a quiet place if that's what you're looking for. Lively would be a good description.
Sat in a booth in the bar area. Kind of dark though. Menu is on the small side which is good, because I don't like menus that are 10 pages long. I ordered the Chipotle Chilaqueles, which had duck as the protein, along with slice fava greens, fava leaves plus other stuff. All the ingredients worked well together. Spicy due to the Chipotle sauce which gave it a nice smokey flavor. I love hot and ordered some habanero sauce as well. The dish was a flavor explosion; one of the best dishes I've ever had. A lot of depth of flavor with the sauce and the richness of the duck.
On the other hand, my wife order the Ensalad Nortena, which she said was very average and not very flavorful, on the bland side. My brother had the Carnitas, which were very good and were served with a hot 7-layer dip, which is an unusual side, but it worked well with the corn tortillas.
So from my point of view, I loved the food.
Neighborhood gem. Love the bar and bar staff, especially the burly apron wearing mixologist. I discovered my new favorite cocktail, Amaro Montenegro.
They were able to seat us on a busy weeknight despite the fact that my wife made the OT reservation, using my account, for the wrong night. (My wife used to work at OT. )
Excellent as always. Love Mezcal Margarita and Crudo.
One of my fave brunch spots in the city.
Great service and amazing food!!! 10/10 will go back!
Celebrated a birthday with brunch. It was amazing.
Food was very good, as always, and the cocktails are always great. On this Saturday night we came in unusually early (6:15) with a reservation. For whatever reason, the host and servers all seemed harried and abrupt, as though things were on the verge of falling apart. Menus were tossed on tables, chairs were slammed in corners as tables were reset, and noise and mayhem generally prevailed for no apparent reason. Kitchen seemed to be running fine but the front of house staff were all acting overtaxed. All this on top of a blaring soundtrack that would have been perfect for a teen dance. Will make sure to avoid weekends here in the future.
Cannot think of anything on the menu that isn't delish - guac, tacos, ceviche, and the cocktails.
I’ve been to Padrecito several times, but last night the quality of food was the best it’s ever been. Service usually is good but again last night was excellent.
Pro: They were able to adjust our reservation time last minute when a few members of our brunch party were running late.
Pro: the food was excellent!
Con: the service (from placing our orders to receiving the food) was very slow, especially considering the restaurant was only half full!
Overall great experience. Would highly recommend!
Food and service were great! Cocktails flavorful and top-notch. Only complaints are that there was only one waitress working the top floor tables and the noise level was very high and made for difficult conversation.
We enjoyed the food, but the restaurant was very loud (even though fairly empty at the time), and there was a strange antiseptic smell.
Everything was truly delicious! Great service / very thoughtful of our 1/2 kids 1/2 adults table (drinks for the grown ups but coloring sheets & quick not spicy food for the littles!). While I'd love it to be cheaper / the food is worth it - we loved it!
