   Great experience ! We went there to celebrate my best friend’s son, Luc, retrieving the epiphany cross when they came in town. The food was excellent. The wine was excellent and the company can’t wait to go back again. I’ve been many times to Packers and love it even more now that it’s been remodeled. ❤️❤️❤️

   What a disappointment! We had been looking forward to a special evening out for our anniversary and booked Packards because a friend said it was so good even though expensive. When we got there all they ad was a high top for two in the bar or a small two top next to a wall divider. No view of anything. The rib eye my husband got for $100 was not good and not at a “Chicago “ steak. The cauliflower was too spicy and we sent that back. The only good item was the crabcake and we might go back for that as a casual meal. Business casual was not the dress code as everyone was in jeans and sweatshirts. This place is a just a nice sports bar and should be advertised as such so expectations are not for fine dining. It is definitely not worth the high prices unless you have money to burn.

   We arrived a few minutes early for our 6:15 reservation. The young hostess was confused and left us standing there while she seated four other tables. Apparently she had us (2) seated in the bar and was upset because people kept sitting at our table. I had to firmly let her know that I made a reservation for the restaurant and had no desire to sit in the noisy bar with a tv blaring. After discussing our situation with the manager a different hostess finally seated us at a table. We were prepared to leave. The restaurant itself was elegant but it was odd to have the sports bar in the corner covering about 1/3 of the overall space. Very strange choice of design for such an upscale menu. It was noisy with people talking, tv on and jazz music playing at the same time. Our server was excellent and well trained but when he got busy he had to neglect us. We watched him shuffling quickly from table to table delivering food, chatting as necessary. The manager should have stepped in to help instead of standing in the corner keeping an eye on things. The food was delicious. The regular (not bone in) filet mignon was good, not off the charts. The filet came plopped in the middle of a large plate with two tiny white potatoes as a garnish. The presentation felt cheated and unloved. Reminded me of three half dollar coins on a plate. It was a skimpy plate and mismatched to the (delicious) chicken where the plate was full of a large half chicken, mushrooms and spinach. We were glad we ordered the side of Brussels sprouts, which were A+ and presented with a large piece of thick fresh cut bacon across the top. The food was five stars. Because of the well trained server (probably the best in the Palm Harbor area) and top notch food, we were expecting to have a complete five star experience, but ultimately the incongruous ambiance, noise, bar, TV, and lack of help from other staff reduced our overall enjoyment. Our bill for two was $180 before tip with one glass of wine.

   Not at all what we expected. We had never been here before, so when reading about the "fine dining" restaurant at Innisbrook, and looking at the menu, we expected a fine dining experience, not dinner in a golf clubhouse that felt like we were in a banquet hall. I'm sure it's a great place to dine after a round of golf, but marketing it to be a fine dining restaurant is really a shame. Where do you set the bar if this is called fine dining? Just because you charge more for the food?
