Pacifica Del Mar Ratings and Reviews
A little disappointed in the food. The Tiger Prawn pasta was average-tasting. The swordfish was good, but not fantastic. Wedge salad with blue cheese was excellent. Expected a little more, I guess. Service was very good, but it wasn't very crowded on a Sunday evening.
Enjoyed another great meal at Pacifica Del Mar. Decided to have an early sunset dinner which offered a nice selection and price. The scallops and steak were superb and service was great as always. Really enjoyed the nice pation seating overlooking the Pacific.
We were not impressed with the ambience. The furnishings were mid scale lawn chairs crowded together to make room for as many tables as they could stuff into the patio area. My daughters chair was half on a torchere stand. The waiter was polite but not as attentive as one would expect for the price of the meal. My caesar salad was romaiine spears with cheese and dressing drizzled over them. Zero presentation. I can't remember what I had as an entree which doesn't speak well for wow factor. The restaurant seems to be running on auto pilot. We agreed that if we had an opportunity to dine in that area again we would not return to this restaurant.
Our waiters Diego and chieago we're fantastic. The food was memorable. My only complaint is that one table didn't allow us to select our room location. And so even though we write a booking note that e wanted a window seat to watch the sunset, we were seated In a room without a window view. This ahold be fixable. Other than that, we had a great experience and would come back.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Our waiter was engaging and knowledgeable. The "signature dish" of the restaurant is Sugar-spiced salmon, and is very good. The view of the ocean is amazing and added a special highlight to the evening - - the sunset was marvellous
Pacifica Del Mar made this evening extremely special for a friend celebrating an anniversary. With her husband away serving our country, he asked for us ladies to devise a surprise (and this included a nice dinner out). I requested a table with a view. PDM seated us in the corner area (almost private like) with an amazing view of the ocean and the sunset. The food was over-the-top (oysters, ceviche, tuna tar tar, not enough room to go on!)and the service was spectacular (thank you Scott!). At the end of the night, Scott surprised her with a wonderful dessert platter and personally wished her a Happy Anniversary. It was a splendid evening! THANK YOU
Nice view but there are no sun shades on the oceanview side of the restaurant. Therefore, when the sun is setting you are blinded by the sun. It is so annoying that you can not enjoy the view or your meal. Recommend sitting at a table inside when dining during sunset.
Perfect choice for Easter Brunch! Everything from the bottomless mimosa to the coffee cake dessert was just wonderful. My husband had the Rock Shrimp Omlette and I have the French Toast. Clearly excellent choices. We plan on making this spot our Annual Easter location. I also bring clients to Pacifica for business lunches. The ocean view is always a a crowd pleaser.
Pacifica Del Mar remains a gem. The food is consistently delicious and the new menu a delight. Our server Daniel was delightful, friendly and attentive. The view is of course superb and my special request for a table out front beside the glass walls was again offered to me. Thank you! It is very hard to beat the great value for money too along with the whole neighborhood and venue package.
Given that we live on the ocean, you'd think there would be more places like Pacifica, but there really aren't.
Excellent menu. Nothing groundbreaking, but everything is prepared well and seems as fresh as can be. The fish was cooked EXACTLY right. Quality wine list.
Prices are in line for the neighborhood and the view.
Very attentive, friendly staff. Met our reservations requests in every respect; then offered to move us if we felt the sun overwhelming at our selected table. Without requesting it, someone put on the outdoor heater next to our table when I threw my jacket over my shoulders as it cooled down. And did I mention the dinner? Fabulous.
