Loved the jazz trio. What a treat. I look forward to returning.
I was super disappointed in the service. Upon entering we stood right in front of register where the hostess was and she didnt even acknowledge us for at least 5 minutes .... should have left at that point but didnt. We literally had to flag down our waitress after several attempts to get a drink.. worst service I have ever had. And the food was kind of a disappointment for the price. We will not be returning.
Interesting that this review asked about noise. I don't like, and don't seek out noisy restaurants. Pacific Room is not noisy. Even with the live entertainment you can still converse. I have eaten there several times and Pacific Room has had consistently VERY good food, the staff is helpful and friendly, and the music is terrific. I recommend this restaurant highly!!
So, my only experience with the food was the smell, which was great! I made a reservation through OpenTable for Valentines Day dinner @ 7pm. I responded "yes" to the "are you coming" email from OpenTable. We arrived at the restaurant at 6:55 and were told we didn't have a reservation and that there were no tables. The hostess give us a clipped "sorry" and no explanation why our confirmed reservation wasn't being honored. They made no effort to "make it right", so I felt like our business was not valued.
Food smelled good, people seemed to be enjoying themselves, so I might recommend this place to someone else, just not for something rare like "date night" or a special occasion like a birthday or Valentines Day. Maybe on a "drop in" basis.
Very difficult night. It was Valentine’s Day. My husband was served 30 minutes before me, they forgot my food. No one noticed that so I had to point out that I didn’t get any food. Apparently another server took it. So his food got cold while I waited. 45 minutes total to get my food while his got cold. The food was pretty awful, probably because it was cold at that point. They were very apologetic and offered to remove my dinner from the bill but then they never did. I didn’t eat it. I just paid and wanted to get out of there. Maybe it will get better with time for them. I don’t have any plans to return.
The service was a bit unprofessional and unorganized. The fish was way overcooked and almost dry. The wine was great!
Change of owners, try again after they get some time under their belts.
They were having difficulty with the Open Table app, so our reservation wasn't honored. Luckily there were two open spot at the bar. The hostess was surprisingly rude and unapologetic about the technical issue, but our bartender was much friendlier and more helpful. The food was good and the drinks were wonderful. The music and ambiance were nice. My boyfriend and I went there for date night and had a lovely time, overall.
Went on a Friday night to try it out and learned under new ownership. In fact the new owners came to our table to introduce themselves and ask for feedback which was a nice touch. They had live jazz music and second band had a great singer who seemed to have a following. It did get a bit loud that night if you expected quiet table conversation but was a great vibe. Food was Ok but service seemed overwhelmed and slow. Not sure they expected the turnout but server was even unfamiliar if they had Jack Daniels which seemed odd. We ordered a glass of wine and thought perhaps server forgot when it didn't show up for 20 minutes. Were told no its juts behind the other orders in front of you. Wrong answer and we said skip it and she did comp the first glass we had ordered. Owner also came over to apologize so they really do care and we will back to try it again. Really hope they can find the right formula as ita nice room and ambaince which is different than anything else on Alki.
really delicious food, I had the peppercorn chop and she had the salmon. mozzarella squares with house made marinara also delectable. live music FTW! prices are a bit on the high side.
We reserved on open table. When we arrived we were told there was a cover due to live music that would start an how after or reservation time - this was not mentioned anywhere in website or open table. I objected, we were seated anyway and didn't have to pay the cover. Wait staff were friendly but seemed inexperienced (we initially received Pinot Noir rather than Pinot Grigio as ordered). Food was meh. Vegan stuffed peppers were straight forward veggies with no imagination and the ribs were not well seasoned. Not a great dining experience and the food left much to be desired. Wouldn't go back.
After the restaurant called me 2 hours before my reservation (booked 1 week prior) to tell me they were not serving entrees but could do appetizers!!! No chance of getting a booking anywhere else for NYE! She said our table was confirmed. Arrived at the restaurant and she said, oh sorry I actually don’t have a table!!!!! And tried to move in with her night. Called the manager who then explained we should have bought a ticket for the night!!! Would have been nice if they mentioned this Shem confirming our table 2 hours prior.
They then did manage to find us a table but made sure we felt that they had fine us s huge favor.
We chose to ignore and en
Great meal and live jazz!!
Food and service was great. Too noisy for hosting jazz artists
It was ok, just not up to the reviews I read. Food was ok, but definitely not at the level of the price points and portions. Service was fine where they probably knew we thought it was ok, even though we didn't complain at all. The view was nice, but not as stellar as expected.
Fish was too salty. Asparagus was overcooked a bit. Risotto was good. The bartender made too much noise. Both servers kept needlessly walking between diners and the stage where there was live music. One woman decided to screw around with the lightning- and it took her awhile to get it where she wanted it, which was pretty much the same as it had been. Other than these things which can be easily fixed I love having a classy place to have dinner and listen to music. Sound system was too loud.
This is a wonderful new restaurant that we were so thrilled to see in West Seattle. Great ambience, good food at reasonable prices and we especially loved the live music. They have music many nights which is a unique opportunity in Seattle, a “supper club” if you will
I really want this place to succeed but their prices are too high for the competition on Alki and I am willing to spend a decent amount of money for a good meal, but the food doesn’t quite match the price yet. The location is beautiful, the decor is stunning. The food was good. The server was amazing.
A friend and I went to dinner here, no special occasion or reason but to get together! The style was cool, service was amazing, and food was delicious! Toward the end of the meal they started to play live music which was really good, but it did get a little loud with the live music.
Great atmosphere and superb service. The food was only average, which was a pity as the restaurant has great potential.
They have a good cocktail menu and apps. We ordered the clams, the sauce was great. Things took a turn when my wife’s salmon came really undercooked. We sent it back and they re-did it for us. The problem was timing though, it took us bit to get their attention, which was unfortunate because it wasn’t busy.
The halibut was perfect. Fantastic wine.. and a great band. Perfect date night. They also have a vegan option that is bitter not salad.
