Took over an hour to receive our drinks and appetizers. Another hour to receive our entres, then told two of the burger we ordered over 45 mins ago ran out.
My friends and I were very disappointed and still left hungry.
The drinks were good.
Cannot beat the location and the ambience is great. The decor is interesting. Service is good. Food presentation is awesome, though options are limited. Great drink selection. Overall a very good experience. Definitely will come back again.
Four words. Laos sausage lettuce wraps. Mind blowing. Thank you to our server, Lauren for steering us in all the right directions. Fantastic dinner. Thank you!
Great staff and food. Music was a little loud to hear and have conversation but not enough to stay away.
The staff servers were excellent and the food was really good. We had a great time for my daughter's birthday party. We will go back again. The snapper fish was phenomenal.
Average - food was good but not great. Service was very slow and scattered. Since it is in a hotel, it is a bit pricey for what it is.
This is a great spot for anyone in the area looking to soak in the beautiful Huntington Beach sights. It’s on the second floor of the hotel along 5th street so it’s convenient yet tucked away. The atmosphere is clean and cozy with reasonable prices on delicious food. Service was pleasant and attentive and our food arrived super quick! I’d definitely recommend Pacific Hideaway for a date night out or get together with friends!
Really enjoyed our meal. Lucky enough to have hit restaurant week. Great price fix with several small plates. All delicious.
went with girl friends, we split several dishes and shared. Great Server Lisa !!...fun place, good food
Fun place - a little hard to find but that was part of what made it cool. We liked the food a lot and it was a pretty good deal for brunch - no bottomless mimosas though sadly
I really enjoyed this restaurant. It's tucked away in a hotel in a prime spot of Huntington Beach but the decor and appearance are so gorgeous. The food is also spectacular and the drinks are creative.
Our service was exceptional. One dish was slightly undercooked, and our server took it of the bill without us having to ask. Small, excellent menu...wonderful place. We plan to return in a few weeks with friends from out of town.
Great vibe, delicious food, quick service
The hostess was great and accommodated us and our puppies. The service and food was great (I had the breakfast burrito which was delicious) and the atmosphere was so cute
I was looking for something new that my wife and I hadnt been to. We decided on something around Huntington Beach. My wife and I havent been back in HB for over 4 years, we've been hearing about how much it has changed. I noticed Pacific Hideaway and I didnt know it was located in the Shorebreak hotel. We gave this place a try and overall our expectations were blown away from the ambiance to the food. We had the pleasure of meeting our server Lauren P, she was knowledgeable of menu and recommended the best. We were impressed by the cocktails and food especially the Dazed & Confused and the Korean Tacos. We will surely comeback especially for the brunch. Thank you Pacific Hideaway for you wonderful hospitality.
Lauren was the best server and the food had a yummy twist !
The food was really interesting and tasty. Service was friendly, and there was a good cheap kids menu.
We had a really nice dinner outside on the deck. It was very pleasant. The staff was friendly. Our dinners were nicely prepared. We had a enjoyable evening.
We had such a lovely NYE at Pacific Hideaway. Warm outdoor seating with a view of the ocean and pier, delicious food and drinks, and delightful and knowledgeable staff. We're definitely returning soon.
Went there Christmas night. Loved the “Christmas Story” dinner. Reasonable prices & will make this place a favorite now. Great for special occasion.
In looking for a nice spot for Christmas dinner, we chose to give Pacific Hideaway a shot based on the advertisement of transforming the Restaurant into "A Christmas Story Theme". They tried but fell short, very short. False advertisement. No Christmas feeling at all here. No holiday decorations, annoying music playing, football on TV (btw when I called ahead to ask how they were incorporating this theme they said the movie A Christmas Story would be playing). Lastly, the "special" Chinese food menu had very small portions for family style and the fried rice was not fried rice at all. Steamed rice with soy sauce and shredded carrots with a strong vinegar taste. We made the best of it and enjoyed each other's company, but bad choice for a special nigjt in looking for a unique little Christmas dinner.
Went all the time when it was Zimzala. The new decor is very cute and the atmosphere is nice, however whatever they're attempting to do with the Asian cuisine is not working because it's really not good or authentic.
Really special menu of Asian Latin fusion. Really good food, and we sampled 10 thing.
Stuffed fries amazing, as was the beer can chicken and sausage lettuce wraps.
They were out of the whole fish we had heard about, but it was Sunday night.
This is the first bad review I've written in a very long time.
My wife and I tried Pacific Hideaway for our weekly Saturday night date.
The chorizo stuffed figs were great, as was my wife's hamburger. Unfortunately, I ordered the Pork Shank Adobo at $34. It was tasteless and overdone. No "Orange-soy braise, kaffir lime, or thai chili" to be seen or tasted.
We're not going back.
We often used to go to this place when it was Zimzula, but have not been there for over a year. Now, it is called Pacific Hideaway. It became a cozy restaurant with delicious food at a great location. Everyone found on the menu something to his preference. Laos Sausages and calamari were a must-try as appetizers. Our friends shared a pacific snapper(so fresh and juicy!), I had a seabass, and my husband had a beer-caned hen. I loved every single bite of my meal and my husband was bragging how good was his hen even the following day. I would definitely recommend this place!
Great service. Amazing food. The sausage lettuce wraps are a must !!
Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone ! Love the Food, drinks, ambience, service, and decor! My friends and I loved it and it was a great place to have a somewhat mellow bday celebration. I will definitely be one of their regulars :-)
Decided to try it since we live within walking distance and had been to the location when it was a previous restaurant (Zimzala). Well worth the visit. The staff are efficient and friendly. The crispy snapper dinner for 2 was amazing! Highly recommend it if you like fish. Also fantastic were the chorizo-stuffed dates and the calamari with a honey chipotle sauce. There are good wine and craft beer choices along with crafted cocktails and a pretty hefty tequila list. Something for everyone - You can't go wrong.
The prices are not inexpensive, but won't break the bank. A good place to take someone special on a date or a private birthday dinner.
Great new restaurant in Huntington Beach . Interesting menu and the food was very good! Kind of a funky casual atmosphere. Can't wait to go back and try some more menu options!
The reviews on this place were great but it was a disappointment. The servers were super friendly but the drinks and food delivery was not timely. Would probably not go back.
We celebrated our engagement at Pacific Hideaway and I'm so glad we chose there. I let them know on the booking it was our engagement and it was so great to be congratulated by the staff and offered 2 glasses of complimentary champagne.
Small things like that make the evening that much better. The food by the way was amazing.
In my opinion... food was so so... everything was way too salty. Too rigid... refused to cool a hamburger to request or modify an order even though I offered to pay more. Beer was in really small glasses but charged full pint price (it was just old speckled hen... should have been served 16oz pour)... water refills were non existent. Not worth the price for sure. Again in my opinion this is another typical hotel restaurant that hopes they will not need to depend on repeat business from local customers.
Scenic upbeat spot, off the crowded Main Street drag and pier traffic. Idyllic views and a fair selection of alcohol and fresh creative menu items for beach casual dining. Recommended!
Late night dining was great! Food, service, atmosphere and open air dining!
Great location and view of the Huntington Beach Pier from Pacific Hideaway. Spectacular, relaxing atmosphere. Food is fabulous. Nice to be able to select breakfast items for lunch too!
It was OK but nothing special. The way food was described expected it to be spicy and it actually needed more spice.
Bartender didn't know how to fix a gimlet, surprisingly. When he figured it out it was pretty good however. Interesting people watching busy and noisy bar scene.
Liked the previous restaurant better.
The best part of all was the waitress. She was exceptional and made sure we were taken care of. Hats off to her.
Amazing food and location. Slower service ever.
The food was fine. Didn't suck, wasn't spectacular. The view from outside is nice; you can catch a sliver of the ocean from the outdoor tables.
I went here for the first time this weekend with my boyfriend and we had a lovely date! The food was amazing, and the view from the patio was breathtaking; it overlooks some of the shops as well as the beach. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the Huntington Beach area. Try the loaded waffle fries if you can!
Go for brunch! Patio dining! You won't be disappointed.
