About Pacific Hideaway
Focusing on the lush offerings of Southern California, while blending the flavors of the Latin and Asian cuisine, Pacific Hideaway features flavors drawn from the coastal hotspots throughout the Pacific. The menu, curated by Executive Chef JT Walker, features small and large plates, such as whole fried Tai Snapper served with an accompaniment of sauces, lush vegetables, and other accoutrements. The bar program incorporates central coast wine, sake, and cocktails utilizing ingredients from global coastlines, such as the Captain Barbosa, a hickory-smoked rum old-fashioned with savory notes of ancho chile and a hint of cinnamon syrup. Pacific Hideaway is in the Kimpton Shorebreak Hotel, located at 500 Pacific Coast Hwy in Huntington Beach, Calif.

We offer two private dining rooms, as well as two large ballroom.
Valet service is available daily, there is also a self-parking option available in the garage below the Hotel, right off 6th street and PCH. Street parking is also available within walking distance. We now validate parking for the first 2 hours, with $20 purchase of Food or Beverage at Pacific Hideaway beginning September 16, 2017.

Pacific Hideaway offers two private dining rooms that seat 10-20 comfortably and 50 for a mixer. Both rooms have a trellis private patio space with great views of the HB Pier and Pacific Ocean.

We often used to go to this place when it was Zimzula, but have not been there for over a year. Now, it is called Pacific Hideaway. It became a cozy restaurant with delicious food at a great location. Everyone found on the menu something to his preference. Laos Sausages and calamari were a must-try as appetizers. Our friends shared a pacific snapper(so fresh and juicy!), I had a seabass, and my husband had a beer-caned hen. I loved every single bite of my meal and my husband was bragging how good was his hen even the following day. I would definitely recommend this place!
Decided to try it since we live within walking distance and had been to the location when it was a previous restaurant (Zimzala). Well worth the visit. The staff are efficient and friendly. The crispy snapper dinner for 2 was amazing! Highly recommend it if you like fish. Also fantastic were the chorizo-stuffed dates and the calamari with a honey chipotle sauce. There are good wine and craft beer choices along with crafted cocktails and a pretty hefty tequila list. Something for everyone - You can't go wrong.
The prices are not inexpensive, but won't break the bank. A good place to take someone special on a date or a private birthday dinner.
We celebrated our engagement at Pacific Hideaway and I'm so glad we chose there. I let them know on the booking it was our engagement and it was so great to be congratulated by the staff and offered 2 glasses of complimentary champagne.
Small things like that make the evening that much better. The food by the way was amazing.
In my opinion... food was so so... everything was way too salty. Too rigid... refused to cool a hamburger to request or modify an order even though I offered to pay more. Beer was in really small glasses but charged full pint price (it was just old speckled hen... should have been served 16oz pour)... water refills were non existent. Not worth the price for sure. Again in my opinion this is another typical hotel restaurant that hopes they will not need to depend on repeat business from local customers.
It was OK but nothing special. The way food was described expected it to be spicy and it actually needed more spice.
Bartender didn't know how to fix a gimlet, surprisingly. When he figured it out it was pretty good however. Interesting people watching busy and noisy bar scene.
Liked the previous restaurant better.
The best part of all was the waitress. She was exceptional and made sure we were taken care of. Hats off to her.
I went here for the first time this weekend with my boyfriend and we had a lovely date! The food was amazing, and the view from the patio was breathtaking; it overlooks some of the shops as well as the beach. I would definitely recommend this place if you're in the Huntington Beach area. Try the loaded waffle fries if you can!
what a great restaurant. if you get a chance, meet chef walker, a great guy very passionate about food. start out with a great thai salad. very, very, good loaded waffle fries, just amazing. then the best ever crispy snapper. it is by far the best fish you will ever eat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The food is overpriced for the portions. The ahi poke was not fresh. I was still hungry after spending $14 for huevos rancheros. My friend's frittata should have included a starch for $12. Lastly, the three full wings didn't have much heat and were overpriced at $12.
Overall, an overpriced & mediocre experience
Amazing ambiance with a great ocean view. Great patio, service was impeccable! The food is amazing however portions are quite small for the price. The menu is on the small side, not enough options in my opinion. The cocktails are phenomenal, hand crafted with extra touches. A very unique place, worth it for the patio and view alone.
Might visit again but just for cocktails. It's a hotel restaurant and the night we went (a Saturday), it wasn't as good at hiding that as the website/social/Yelp/etc suggested. Service was great, food was good, but if you're looking for a special dinner in downtown HB, I'd recommend Bluegold instead.
Fun new restaurant. Cocktails are festive and very good. Food tends to be spicy. Fish tacos are always good. Ceviche is fresh and yummy. Served in a coconut bowl. We also enjoyed the calamari. I had the wahoo with coconut miso and would highly recommend. Lots of good fresh spring vegetables. Sit outside on a nice evening. Service needs some work but they are new. Hopefully that part ramps up.
Great overall experience. Good cocktails & appetizers. We had the ceviche and the laos sausage to start. Both were excellent. The ceviche is delicious & well prepared, served in a coconut with coconut milk. The laos sausage was our favorite: spicy sausage, crispy rice & a sauce in a lettuce wrap. I had the game hen entre and it was great.
