The ambience and décor is lovely. Service impeccable. Food was just so-so. My daughter, who was celebrating her birthday, ordered salmon and it arrived so salty that she had to send it back. In fairness, the second time it arrived, it was better. But all the food was fairly salty, which shouldn't be happening at a restaurant of this caliber. The salmon cakes were delicious. Desserts on birthdays aren't complimentary, but they do give you a coupon for your next visit (assuming you return).
The service was a little slow. The food could have been hotter but the flavor was awesome!
Our server David was exceptional.
His attitude & knowledge of the menu & prep left no doubt about our selection for dinner.
The steak & lobster was phenomenal.
We have already made recommendation to friends.
Went for lunch. Had the Mac N Cheese with chicken. It was wonderful. Enough to split, which is what we did.
Our service was excellent.
Will be going back for lunch.
Dinner before a live comedy show. Excellent meal. Will try happy hour next visit.
It's hard not to like Pacific Grill. Today's meal included 1) the BLT dinner salad. The toppings were scant, and the dressing was not balanced, mostly vinegar. 2) Chicken Schnitzel, which was a very small piece of chicken that was supposed to have been flattened (but was not), it was oily, and fried nearly to carbon on the outside. Our waitress was very friendly and professional, but brand new we guessed as we had to provide prompts after twenty minutes of waiting for beverages. But, we like the food quality so we'll be back.
Better for an evening dinner than lunch in the "bistro" section. Drinks adequate from a pressed bartender/server. Celebrating a 21st birthday, expected a little more engagement from the staff - hostess and server.
Steak and salmon were delicious, but vegetables were very very salty.
Our mimosas were never empty and the food was AMAZING!
Every time I come to Pacific Grill, I'm always pleased with the food. This time we sat in the bar, and our server/bartender was GREAT.
Danielle was/is an outstanding waitress! She was pleasant, knowledgeable, attentive, everything you could ask in a waitress.
Also, one of the best preparations and cooking of the grilled steelhead I have had!
The waiter gave us great customer service. He went over all of the great features of the menu. My husband prefers seafood, and I prefer more of vegetarian fare. There were delicious dishes for both of us. We also thoroughly enjoyed dessert. Scrumptious.
Food was outstanding! Service was exceptional.
I was disappointed with the meal as I have been here before and thought both the food and service was excellent. The main course was overcooked. I did send it back and they re-fired it, but it was still a bit chewy, but much better than the initial offering. The service was overall good, however I was a bit annoyed that when I asked for a drink with lemon, that it came without , that when served tea and requested milk with it, I received honey instead.
Reminded server and hostess we were on a strict time limit (1 hour) so we were seated promply (thanks so Open Table reservation). However, after arriving at 12noon, our waiter could not get to our table to take order until 12:15, despite multiple pleadings of bus person that we "knew our order and were in a hurry". We quickly provided our order (both had Kale salad with prawns no drinks). Ordered arrived at 12:40, which was fine. However, we asked for check with order to expedite check out, but check did not arrive until 1:10! Alas, we were late to our 1pm meeting. We were hoping Pacific Grill to be a good "go to" place since it was a block from meeting space, but since ordering salads (only 2 prawns by the way) with request for quick service means 80 minute minimum, we cannot return. Yes, the kale salad with the $6.95 add-on of prawns included 2, frozen prawns.
Not really sure how to grade or describe the restaurant, we just had a great meal and a very comfortable overall dining experience. Will definitely be an option next time I don't feel like sticking to my diet and going out.
Wonderful food Unbelievable Filet Mignon Great Service Awesome Martini We'll go again without question
Food was very good but very pricey. Nice place for a special occasion but would not go on a regular basis.
I booked our reservation ahead of time for Valentine's Day. We used our Pacific Grill gift cards given to us by my sister for Christmas. I was a bit upset we did not know it was only a limited menu offered that evening. No where on the web site was any information given that items would be limited. We had looked on line and even printed the menu before our reservation was made and even that evening before going to dinner. HERE IS THE VERY UPSETTING PART : ( the food came and it was good but we were right next to the bathroom and someone had clogged the toilet in the woman's room it was very nasty and smelly -and flooded the toilet!!! It was a disgusting mess.We told the staff and even told them twice what happened ..but they seemed not concerned ? We ended up finishing the best we could and left. That really ruined our special dinner : ( They were very busy but I don't understand why it was not cleaned up the smell was right by my table every time the door opened. Someone seemed extremely ill for that type of mess to have happened and I am not sure the staff knew what to do or what the problem cleaning it up was ???
My wife and I visited for Valentine's Day, and I'm so happy we did! The food, service and experience was perfect! We will be back to try brunch before long.
Service was excellent, friendly, not intrusive. Louie salad exceptional.
A wonderful pick for my boyfriends birthday. every item we ordered was unique and delicious. The waitress was knowledgable of the menu and suggested fabulous wine pairings. The free valet parking for servicemen was awesome. We will definitely be coming back!
From walking into the door, through out dinner and desert our experience was a delight. The flavors entice every taste bud. The waitstaff had a great attitude, gave the feeling they loved being there and there to make the experience amazing.
Good menu, well labelled as I eat gluten free and the menu had every item marked. Dinner was excellent and service was outstanding.
As usual, Pacific Grill delivered as our "go to place" for special occasions - in this case an early Valentine celebration. We go there two or three times a year and our waitress recognized us and did her usual supper job.
Four of us went here for dinner and we all loved our food. My one gripe was that my husband and I shared a salad and they charged us $3.50 to split it, which I think is ridiculous. The least they could do is ask if you want it split for a $3.50 charge - it would have been nice to have the option. Other than that, everything was great!
Food was AMAZING and the drinks were delicious! Our food came out before we were done with our salads but our overall experience was great. We will be back!
Went for my 60th birthday at about 5:00 pm (with reservations.) Promptly seated...plenty of attention. Noise level was moderate...perhaps low...which I greatly appreciated. Nice to go someplace where you can have a conversation without raising your voice. Food was outstanding as before. Had a great time! We'll be back!
Even I get the reservation but still have to wait for the seating. Food just normal but pay for nigh price. Service is not expect as a premium restaurant.
Delicious dinner and great wine choices. The chipino and the steak were wonderful. Service good.
the food was fine, but love the atmosphere. really great spot if you are in Tacoma.
The food was excellent, the service was superb but it was very, very loud. A large table of about 12 thought this was their private dining room and produced loud waves of laughter and conversations across the entire room. Whenever the noise rose, many diners looked at their table in dismay. But the food was excellent. We had the Day Boat Scallops and the Duck Cassoulet. And since it was my birthday, our server treated me to a birthday dessert!
This is a outstanding place. I went for a business meeting and then returned again the next night for pleasure. You won't be disappointed.
I always love brunch here. The bottomless mimosas are more than worth the price and have a top shelf taste. The biscuits and gravy are always amazing and the prosecco monkey bread is worth coming back for. This is one of my favorite places and they never disappoint!
Consistently good year after year! We have been going to PG for over 5 years. Never has disappointed and has always provided outstanding service!
As always, outstanding in every way.
Had a awesome time dining out with my wife and both of our mother's.....The food was great and the staff was wonderful.......two small issues were parking and how loud the music was during brunch.......overall still a five star rating......
Wonderful waitress. Delicious food and great atmosphere.
Service and food was excellent, it was are first experience at the PG. Will definitely return in the near future.
Starters and mains were excellent:-)
We love eating there!
