Service when we finally got it was great but being seated and totally ignored for 15 to 20 min without a word as if we were invisible was disappointing. No hello. No water. No we are short staffed. Someone will be with you. Not being adequately staffed on Saturday night was not a great first time impression.
Servers were talking out loud “thats not my area” etc.
Food was ok. Sushi and ginger had wasabi all over it blowing out my kids nose. Leave it to the customer to add it as the please. Salad had way too much dressing. My fish dish was great but I felt so bad that everyone else’s dinner was not up to par for the price.
We very much enjoyed our dinner at PC in Walnut Creek. Good food and a fun atmosphere.
First time I haven’t loved the service from pacific catch. Our waiter seemed a bit cranky. He didn’t smile once.
The food is very good, but there need to be more service staff, or the staff need to be trained to be more attentive to details. A shared appetizer was delivered without any utensil to serve. It was difficult to get the attention of a staff member. The waiter was servicing a lot of tables.
We had the filet of sole, crab mashed potatoes and broccolini. It was so good. We sat outside. Our server was delightful. I would recommend Pacific Catch.
Thank you for providing a quality seafood restaurant in Contra Costa County. We have lost so many restaurants in the past year.
After numerous visits food still good. Only complaint hostess always seems to be elsewhere....wait 5 minutes for her to show up..then unfriendly. Also seem to be understaffed waitperson wise.
A great variety of fish prepared well. Sturgeon was the special which one doesn’t see that often on the menu in the Bay Area. Entrees & small plates offered a range of cuisines and flavors On Tuesday, bottles of wine are half price. The list is short but works well with many of the dishes. The vibe is good and the decor is attractive.
Our table were all pleased with their dinners. We shall be returning.
The service was exceptionally slow and not accurate and our poke lacked any flavor
Casual fish house. Good food, outside dining.
The food is tasty. Our server seemed distracted and didn't get our order right. The food was very good and I enjoyed the ambiance. It is a bit over priced. There were 3 of us, No alcohol and the bill was $100 without tip.
Appeared to enjoy there work this reflected well on the overall service and experience
Fantastic food but the server was not very attentive.
We were seated immediately in a booth in the Bar instead of available booths in the dining room in the nearly empty restaurant. I found that strange but did not complain since we could watch the TV while lunching. We received drink service quickly and our waiter took our meal orders as soon as we were ready. Unfortunately, it took a long time to get our food and it came to the table lukewarm. If this had been my first visit I would have rated it much lower. I’m accounting this experience as unusual and rating on average of my visits; this was my third time there. I like the mostly seafood menu, the healthy dishes, the non-alcoholic beverages, and the ample serving size. The Blood Orange Lemonade was delicious!
Early dinner with a friend on 7/10. Got in on end of Happy Hour- good cocktails and small bites- coconut shrimp were very good as were small ribs with dipping sauce. Nice ambiance at a table in back end of bar area. Good service. Had opah with turmeric sauce, green veggies and a very nicely flavored corn side. A very healthy portion- took at least half home. The dish was very good. Really like this place. Fairly moderately priced for the area.
Pacific Catch offers a wide and varied fish (obviously) menu at good value. Service is friendly and good. A place you can put on your “regulars” list.
One minor issue is the “pick three” entree menu. Somewhat confusing. Good idea, but upper management can work on better explanation on the menu.
I would still recommend this restaurant but we had very slow service on a night when the restaurant was half empty (Monday), we had to wait a while to order, and then my bowl came with 2 pieces of eggplant (in a dish that listed eggplant as the first ingredient). The server (Dacia) was not very attentive or helpful. We frequent Pacific Catch often and hope this was just an aberation.
I have eaten here twice. Lunch and Dinner. The food is good. Fresh, tasty, varied. However, for the price, the atmosphere is lacking and the service is average. The place is loud and the ambiance is more cafe than restaurant although the price would say the opposite. I don't mind paying for high quality ingredients, but I expect a better overall experience for my money.
Great in all aspects. Loved our server and the food, once again was delicious!
This was THE worst dining experience we've had in 2019 and perhaps longer. The quality of the food and the attention to detail when preparing as requested was terrible. Very overpriced. So disappointed!
Food was perfectl!
Service from the check desk was fast. We were seated and was introduced to our servers. Food was excellent. You can really tell that it is fresh and not sitting around to be scooped up to your dish.
Always good food, wonderful wine and exceptional service.
The opah, fish and chips, salmon bowl and fish tacos were all delicious. Our server was friendly and made recommendations. We have dined here a few times and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere.
We had a great experience at the Corte Madera restaurant so we expected the same in Walnut Creek. The food was fine overall, but needed more flavor (beet salad, salmon chowder, classic ahi poke, citrus poke & ceviche) and my first cocktail that was supposed to be spicy wasn’t at all, although the 2nd was. But the worst part was the filthy floor outside and the 20 flies hovering over the table next to us and the smell. It was so bad, we asked to move. Sadly, I would rather pay the bridge toll to go to Corte Madera than try the Walnut Creek one again.
Good food and drinks. All seafood.
The server could care less about our table of two. He was more interested in serving tables he thought would give him a large tip. I tried several times to get his attention but finally went to the hostess to have my problem dealt with. The menu didn’t indicate the use of daikon sprouts in my sushi roll. I am allergic, and maybe I should have asked. I just wanted it remade without the daikon sprouts. He announced to the next table that he was delayed in Attending to them because “someone had to have their order remade because she is allergic to sprouts”. I was insulted. Then even though I had previously told him I had a VIP shareable to redeem, he did not credit me and I had to bring that up with the hostess because he just dropped the bill off and rushed away before I could say anything to him. I have never had this server before . The other servers are usually polite. But this experience gives me pause even though I am a frequent customer.
Great place. Delicious food. Our server Alyssa was very good and friendly
The food was good. Our orders got a little messed up, but were wuickly fixed.
Many variety of foods with generous portions. If you are not a big eater, go with the small size. Small plates like ceviche and sticky ribs are excellent.
Best fresh fish around and all my friends are hooked, no pun intended .
Service was excellent, Jose our waiter knew the foods and made recommendation
Entertaining customers and very impressed
We ate at Pacific Catch in Walnut Creek on a Saturday evening. Ended up eating at the table in the bar we had sat down at to have a couple of drinks before our table was ready. Great cocktails, great food and great service! We will definitely be coming back!
Service was great, so was the food and to top it off our waitress was magnificent!! Sorry I can’t remember her name.
The food was absolutely amazing! My boyfriend and I love seafood and really enjoyed this restaurant. The salmon is the best i’ve ever had and was full of so much flavor. The rising sun sushi roll was also amazing! The shrimp wasn’t as great as I expected but still good. No complaints it was great food in a beautiful restaurant with amazing service!
Not good quality of food and preparation has gone downhill since opening. Sauces are non discript and gloppy....there is no curry flavor on the undercooked cauliflower rather very hot red pepper rounds and some horrible green herb was slathered on top of a white thick unmentionable sauce. I asked for my salmon to be cooked med-rare it arrived cooked well done and dried out. House salad under whelming in content and amount. My dinner partners French fried were not wonderful and barely warm and his fish order was a cut in half small piece of Petra left sole not big enough to satisfy a teen much less an adult man. This restaurant has lost its way with such an extensive menu and could do better by trimming its selection and doing better with the finishing details that make eating out wonderful.
Loved it! Great food and service!
Great seafood menu which translates into wonderful food on the plate. Entertaining and knowledgeable waiter. Even though the restaurant was packed on a Father's Day, the food came quickly and perfectly prepared. Will go back.
Great food and friendly people! I had the ahi chirashi and the Kim Chee fried rice with a sunny side up egg on top. Both were amazing. Great bar at this place too. The staff is very polite and accommodating, and there are a lot of them! Great experience for my birthday.
Horrible service , dirty silverware and server wasn’t knowledgeable of menu .
