Pacific Catch Mountain View Ratings and Reviews
Good food. Very Noisy. Annoying to have some diners plates removed while other others at the table were still eating. Also, repeatedly asked the people who were still eating if they were done. I find this very rude and makes those eating uncomfortable feeling as though they need to rush to finish.
Food here is always good and service is OK. However I do have to comment on how messy the floor looks. There were papers on the floor and no one bother to pick them up. It's just very unpleasant to look at. Normally I like pacific catch and we may still go back but they really need to get the place cleaned better.
The food is consistently very good and not overpriced. The specials are always interesting and good and we're regularly conflicted between our favorite regular dishes and the best sounding specials. We find it the best place for seafood in the area. When we ask our 20-something kids where they want to go for a special occasion, this is usually their choice.
I always like Pacific Catch because of the interesting, seafood-centric food. We ate here for a business lunch and the food was fine but the service was slow and very disconnected. The server came to our table late to take our order, the food was delivered by someone else, and the only other time she came was to drop the check. She didn't even ask if we wanted coffee (we did) or dessert, so we had to flag someone else down. Not acceptable for the prices you pay at lunch.
We had another family dinner at Pacific Catch. Our waitress got one order wrong was an very up front about it and comped the meal. The food was consistent and yummy. We were seated right away with our reservation. That was nice since we had plans after dinner. Recommend and the rice bowls, the fish and chips. The fish sandwich was a little heavy on the bread or rather, light on the fish-mahi-mahi. Love the Hawaiian/Asian theme. Poke was good. The steak with kim chee rice was good too.
First time here. Will return. Japanese style seafood - not the “Fishmarket”style we are use to. Jason, our weigher was great. Explained the menu, options.,etc. My wife and I have some dietary issues and asked for modifications to menu items. These were done without problem. Very happy with food and service. We will be back
Making a reservation was a breeze. The hostess was very quick to get our party seated. The waiter was attentive, amiable, and informative about the specials (he sold me on the filet of sole and crab). From the appetizer to the dessert, the food tasted fresh and flavorful. I've visited a few other Pacific Catch locations and they never disappoint. I'll be back to this location for that fish taco platter!
Best meal we have had in a long time! Hubby and I were going out for date night and haven't found a new favorite spot since Scott's closed. Love the variety of the menu and the seasonal specials. Our waiter was just great and I'm sorry I didn't remember his name. We will be back.
Excellent fresh dishes prepared with a variety of influences, Asian, southern, nouvelle. Staff were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Our party of 3 had 1 beer, 2 soft drinks, 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts for $90 (before tip) on a moderately busy happy-hour on Wednesday night. Plenty of parking in the parking structure across the street.
As usual, your experience here will vary greatly, depending upon whom you have as your waiter. Some are excellent, a few just try to upsell from the moment they say hi to you. In general, the restaurant is underserved and the waiters are always rushing around and often out of breath when they talk to you. This should be fixed by management.
You can get a tasty and usually healthy meal here for a reasonable price.
There is a good selection of beers, but the specialty cocktails are very weak and mostly consist of various syrups.
Great service and menu. Food was delicious. We ordered shrimp ceviche, teriyaki rice bowl with steak, and salmon. The waitress who served us and the waiter who was in charge of water were both very pleasant and quick. We will definitely visit again and recommend it to others.
This was my first visit here. We went for lunch and will definitely go back. A good place for casual dining with fresh food. The poke was fresh and tasty. And I loved the coconut shrimp too. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. I would like to go back for dinner next time.
Ambiance is casual but elegant and airy.
I keep thinking maybe the next time I go to Pacific Catch it will be better and every time they disappoint me. The food was average at best. The service for the first 45 mins was horrible, every staff member disappeared. Because I got their early I went to the bar and discovered it was Happy Hour. The bartenders never made contact and were facing in a different direction the whole time. I had to call out to them to get their attention so I can get a drink. It was like they didn't want me to get the Happy Hour special pricing so if they avoid you, you'd have to pay full price if they stalled for 5 mins when it times out.
The menu is limited and the food was just so-so. The service was slow and they brought out the wrong dish for me & I had to wait while they quickly fetched mine. They did give me a glass of wine on the house for the inconvenience and that was nice. Our waitress was very nice too. It wasn't a total loss, but since my son was visiting from out of town, it was very disappointing.
Wouldn't recommend. Salad with taco's was not complete or dressed. Side order or broccoli did not arrive. Never offered a chance to order drinks. Was talked out of my entree by the waiter with another suggestion which was so spicy it was inedible. Waiter didn't offer to clear the plates from the starter before trying to dump the the entrees on the table - until we told him to. All in all, crappy service. It wasn't even that busy. Pretty subdued atmosphere for a Saturday night. In retrospect it was far too easy to get a table for 6 at short notice on a Saturday, and now I know why.
We have been to Pacific Catch many times before and enjoyed it very much. But, tonight's food and service were mediocre at best. Our waiter was forgetful and seemed preoccupied. We did not receive the edamame and cracker appetizer and our drinks were very slow to arrive. When we asked for lemons from our water for a second time, the waiter presented them on toothpicks still in plastic wrappers and laid them on the table! Both my dining partner and I had a fresh fish special. My salmon was overcooked and paired with an undercooked vegetable ragout. The grilled corn came without the butter and cheese as described. Overall, a very disappointing dinner.
Once again, the experience here varies greatly time to time. First off, a couple of the servers here are just horrible. Surely management knows who they are. But then again, one of the managers is horrible, also. On the other hand, some of the servers do a fine job, although they all try their hardest to upsell the drinks (which are generally poorly made, mostly syrup in the specialty cocktails). The food, by and large, is good. The bowls are the best values, but sometimes the specials are good, too. Overall, it's a fun place to go, but if you have an important dinner/lunch date (business or social), I won't go here because you could end up with a poor experience.
