Quiet at 11am; service was excellent, food was delicious. Easy access from street, plenty of available parking. Sat for 2-1/2 hours and not felt rushed to leave.
Love this place! I take the family several times a month for lunch or dinner.
Nice food. Good service. Tough to find a parking spot.
Outstanding gin cocktail. Ben, our waiter, was efficient without hovering. Fried oysters were oh so very good. All in all a pleasant evening.
We like the idea that the salmon is sustainably sourced and clean. The food was tasty and plentiful. The service was excellent! Our server was very pleasant and efficient. We will recommend PC and come back again.
Service and accommodations to our requests were excellent. Thank you to the staff. We had the Pick your Taco’s plate for lunch. Fish cooked just right. Not fussy just perfectly fresh everything . Would definitely recommend them for an upgraded casual dining experience
Love their fish and chips, wait staff always very pleasant. Very comfortable restaurant.
We love this restaurant. We eat here often or the one in the Pruneyard.
Pacific Catch is a chain restaurant in the Bay Area that specializes in fresh fish dishes with an Asian/Californian style. The Hawaiian Poke is delicious and never fails to satisfy, the hint of soy, sesame and ginger is perfect, as are the won-ton crisps, they also come in a gluten free option. The Rice Bowl creations are the perfect amount of food for dinner, we like to order them with the dressing on the side in order to adjust the incredible flavors to our own particular tastes. The bowls are so flavorful and delicious, we often don’t use the extra dressing at all! The tacos are another favorite and come in many different combinations, the sriracha sauce on the steak pairs well with the lime crema and the fresh taste of the Alaskan Cod is enhanced with the avocado tomatillo salsa and tasty jalapeno tartar. Local wines are available, and the drinks are creative and refreshing. Lastly, the staff has always been professional, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. The consistency of the great staff, fresh food and fun atmosphere keeps us coming back.
They were very accommodating to our reservation .
We arrived 15 mins early and they still seated us at arrival and we got an early dinner. Excellent service and good food.
We had a reservation for 5pm. The place was mostly empty, but they seated us next to the bar, where a few groups were getting drinks while waiting for their tables and it was a bit noisy. The service was on the slower side, but overall everything was Ok.
Ahi salad was just ok
Great to sit outside by the fire pit. Sustainably caught fish at moderate prices. Not innovative cuisine but tasted fresh and good.
A couple of small items to suggest:
1) when food was served, it was placed on table nearest walkway (we were in half moon booth next to bar), and we had to reach over the tall items on the table to place the plate on our side so we could eat it. Just felt like it was "dropped" off on their way somewhere else and we couldn't have eaten it from where it was placed. A better plate placement would have been much more impressive.
2) we requested bill and had to wait at least 7 min (bartender/our server, had to wait for mgr to "comp" an advertised free hors d'oeurve. One would think this small step could be handled at the first level and not require a manager, but wait, independent of your policies, was a bit too long.
As usual, the experience here varies tremendously each time I come. This time, the waiter was beyond horrible: he never brought the appetizer we ordered, he ignored us during the meal, he charged us for a substitution even though he said he wouldn't, when he brought us the dessert menu he literally (yes!) tossed it at us. He also incorrectly described the daily special, and this is a server who has worked there for a long time. Management really needs to get rid of the poor waiters, of which there are quite a few.
Additionally, the food this time around was not good. One entree was served at the wrong temperature, making it unappetizing, and another entree had an overcooked dry piece of salmon. I used to really like Pacific Catch, but it keeps getting worse and worse. Time to find another go-to restaurant.
Outstanding and unique fish and seafood with an Asian/Hawaiian flair. Their poke dishes are superb especially the Serrano option.
Both my colleague and I enjoyed the food. My lobster roll was well prepared and really good. The three tacos ordered by my colleague also went well to his satisfaction.
Was supposed to be for our aniversary dinner and had requested a quiet dinner but did not get it. Server was super busy yet friendly and appologized. We could not umderstand him because it was very noisy. Won't go there for quiet dining. If you have kids it is good for anniversary dinner with kids
A good place that has a higher end chain restaurant feel. The food was good but portions were relatively small for the cost. The service at this particular Pacific Catch was excellent.
The food is decent. The bar is a joke, with way over-priced drinks that are poorly made and have very little alcohol content. Even during happy hour, the drinks are too expensive and consist of mostly syrup and mixers. Service is highly variable, usually below average, unless you happen to get one of the few good waiters. The turnover in waitstaff is quite high, which is partly why the service is lacking. When Pacific Catch opened a few years ago, it had a fun vibe, with very good service. That time is long gone. What happened??
They are unable to keep reservations. I arrived a couple minutes before my reservation time, and they had my wait over 30 minutes for my table.
Good food. Very Noisy. Annoying to have some diners plates removed while other others at the table were still eating. Also, repeatedly asked the people who were still eating if they were done. I find this very rude and makes those eating uncomfortable feeling as though they need to rush to finish.
I had the sole with crab and was outstanding. The crab was fresh and sauce was good.
Food here is always good and service is OK. However I do have to comment on how messy the floor looks. There were papers on the floor and no one bother to pick them up. It's just very unpleasant to look at. Normally I like pacific catch and we may still go back but they really need to get the place cleaned better.
The food is consistently very good and not overpriced. The specials are always interesting and good and we're regularly conflicted between our favorite regular dishes and the best sounding specials. We find it the best place for seafood in the area. When we ask our 20-something kids where they want to go for a special occasion, this is usually their choice.
I always like Pacific Catch because of the interesting, seafood-centric food. We ate here for a business lunch and the food was fine but the service was slow and very disconnected. The server came to our table late to take our order, the food was delivered by someone else, and the only other time she came was to drop the check. She didn't even ask if we wanted coffee (we did) or dessert, so we had to flag someone else down. Not acceptable for the prices you pay at lunch.
Wait staff is very friendly and helpful. Food is excellent quality, well-cooked and very tasty.
We had another family dinner at Pacific Catch. Our waitress got one order wrong was an very up front about it and comped the meal. The food was consistent and yummy. We were seated right away with our reservation. That was nice since we had plans after dinner. Recommend and the rice bowls, the fish and chips. The fish sandwich was a little heavy on the bread or rather, light on the fish-mahi-mahi. Love the Hawaiian/Asian theme. Poke was good. The steak with kim chee rice was good too.
First time here. Will return. Japanese style seafood - not the “Fishmarket”style we are use to. Jason, our weigher was great. Explained the menu, options.,etc. My wife and I have some dietary issues and asked for modifications to menu items. These were done without problem. Very happy with food and service. We will be back
As always, a wonderful experience! The waiter forgot my hubby's drink, but realized when the bill came and discounted us one of the appetizers. He was very kind, apologetic, and bubbly, so we didn't mind the oversight.
Solidly good food. Hawaiian inspired.
The food was very tasty and well pesented. My date and I split a salad and entree and they served the dishes already split on separate dishes without charging extra. The restaurant is very impressive, with a great decor and comfortable booths.
Making a reservation was a breeze. The hostess was very quick to get our party seated. The waiter was attentive, amiable, and informative about the specials (he sold me on the filet of sole and crab). From the appetizer to the dessert, the food tasted fresh and flavorful. I've visited a few other Pacific Catch locations and they never disappoint. I'll be back to this location for that fish taco platter!
The food was great and the service was even better!
Best meal we have had in a long time! Hubby and I were going out for date night and haven't found a new favorite spot since Scott's closed. Love the variety of the menu and the seasonal specials. Our waiter was just great and I'm sorry I didn't remember his name. We will be back.
Food is always clean and delicious, we go back on a regular basis. Japanese Wasabi bowl is a particular favorite
Excellent fresh dishes prepared with a variety of influences, Asian, southern, nouvelle. Staff were attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Our party of 3 had 1 beer, 2 soft drinks, 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 2 desserts for $90 (before tip) on a moderately busy happy-hour on Wednesday night. Plenty of parking in the parking structure across the street.
As usual, your experience here will vary greatly, depending upon whom you have as your waiter. Some are excellent, a few just try to upsell from the moment they say hi to you. In general, the restaurant is underserved and the waiters are always rushing around and often out of breath when they talk to you. This should be fixed by management.
You can get a tasty and usually healthy meal here for a reasonable price.
There is a good selection of beers, but the specialty cocktails are very weak and mostly consist of various syrups.
Fabulous experience from start to finish. Love the monthly catch menu.
Try out the Happy Hour and Aloha Fridays!! Loved the appetizers!
