Best seafood restaurant in Marin. For the consistent quality in food and service, a price performer.
Went with a family member we’d taken awhile back. After that, she went on her own with a friend. She was disappointed, so we thought we’d try again. NOW she’d go back again! Thoroughly enjoyed everything. A bit noisy and our wait staff was a little odd. But good and service generally good. We will go back again! Everyone has an “off night”.....
One of my favorite places, and we're fairly regular. The food has always been consistent, but tonight my husband's favorite salad Ahi Tuna was just not up to par. My Korean BBQ Steak bowl with 1/2 brown rice and 1/2 greens was excellent.
The service was not good, beginning with the fact that we reserved an outside table (confirmed), and when we got there..."unfortunately all we have is table #24". Service was slow. We had to ask for silverware twice, my cocktail came after my entree was served, and we had to ask another server to get our server when we wanted our check. When the restaurant is one of your favorites, the disappointment is not welcomed.
It was very nice with the grand kids. The service was excellent and quick!
It's not on par with SF "5-star for foodies" -- but I love this place. I'm totally biased as Hawaiian food is my comfort addiction food -- not to mention it's next to my gym. Some dishes can be fit for foodies; it's smart to ask which dishes are . . . often the specials. There's a fair amount of salt in a lot of dishes because that's how soy-sauce island fare is, but it's o/w pretty healthy vs typical restaurant fare. I'm addicted to the edamame with Goldfish pretzels complimentary appetizer (be sure to eat them together for a fabulous pairing), original poke with crispy won ton skins, and the salads, especially if they include avocado and tobiko. I think it was a crab salad that I just LOVED, last month. Sweet potato fries are usually fantastic; be sure to eat while they're freshly made. If you can get a fish taco with a jicama shell, it was to die for when I tried it. I'm always happy with their fish tacos, regardless. Their fish entrees and their salads, too! Yes, a Hawaiian food addict is writing this.
I do love the vibe. Can be quiet or noisy just depending on where you sit and when you go. This location was brilliant to add a protected outdoor area with a fire pit to add to the "island vacation" fun atmosphere. I also enjoy sitting inside, as their dining area has a bit of island pizzazz. The small unprotected outdoor area is a treat during beautiful weather.
Friendly service always, so far (at least a dozen visits)! They're accommodating and pretty popular, but you can usually get a table without waiting. But they do take reservations, which are almost always easy to get. Just off the 101 fwy, and parking is generally easy.
(Okay, but not ideal, for kids. There's an outdoor mall area outside the front door = escape hatch. However, there are kid-friendlier eateries in the middle of the outdoor mall. I don't think the Pacific Catch menu is geared toward the average child younger than 10 or so, and I don't see kids eating here that often.)
Delicious meal. Had a Chef's Special salmon bowl. It had a very tasty dressing and the salmon was delicious.
Dinner with family, main course took a long time, we were seated next to bar, tacos were quickly cold, shrimp taco good but grilled mahi was “meh”probably will go back for Lu ch but not dinner.
Usually the food is quite good, but for the second time in a row, the sticky ribs were tough and dry -- new product? new chef?
The food at this Pacific Catch location is very good, but the service is variable. The wait staff is friendly, but not always sufficiently attentive. It's one of our regular restaurants, so we've seen the good and the bad and still keep coming back -- for the food.
We always enjoy eating at Pacific Catch. On this occasion the ant trail on the fireplace hearth next to our table was unpleasant.
Very impressive restaurant. I wanted to order everything on the menu--will definitely go back to try the fish tacos. The crab cakes were very good and the abundant salad they were served with was even better! And I am not usually all that big on salad. It was just amazingly good. The fish and chips were better than average, not as good as the other dishes we selected. The ribs were outstanding. They have lots of small plates that are suitable for sharing and also plenty of interesting entrees.
It’s a great place with great food and a must visit for anyone in this area
The food is excellent. The servers are very friendly but have a lot of tables to cover. I especially like the fish and chips and order that most of the time. With a reservation we are usually seated very quickly although not always right away. I recommend the Pacific Catch for their fish and great sauces that I ask them to provide beyond the tarter sauce. I now know most of the waiters and they know what I order. I'll keep going there. A great dining spot.
Great happy hour. Would return without a doubt. Delucious food.
We were 5 with a reservation, yet put in a booth in the back corner on a quiet weekday at lunch. Our server was nice, but forgot about us multiple times. Our food was so so. Have had much better meals here in the past.
Our food was very tasty overall. Only one issue with the food is that one of our diners requested no quinoa on a salmon bowl, and to substitute broccoli. When the dish came it was LOADED with broccoli but there were very few of the other ingredients, ie brown rice, other veggies, salmon.
Our server was really quite bad. She was rude and unsmiling the entire service and seemed like she couldn’t wait to get rid of our table of 4. She brought out 2 of our meals loooong before the other 2 with no apology or explanation. The first 2 in our party were already finished with their meals by the time the other 2 meals came out.
She also made a big deal about the check being charged to our credit card for $6 less than the total tab. We of course made up the difference in the tip, but honestly were tempted to leave no tip at all as the service was just plain bad.
Excellent food and service! Great for a date night or dinner with the whole family.
My favorite salad in all of Marin since they opened.
Salmon Wasabi rice bowl with greens!
Carlos was terrific! Great food and service!
Excellent healthy salads, fresh seafood, and much more via a gentle island theme. I eat here regularly which is a high endorsement.
This is our Go To restaurant . Always fresh, good and affordable. I love the Ahi Salad and my wife will get the crab cakes. Just an easy place to go and eat healthy :-)
Food was OK but appeared precooked
Waiter was worthless
It was average
The restaurant was packed & the 2 hosts were doing the best that they could, juggling everybody. We checked in 10 min ahead of time , left & came back 15 min later as suggested by host. Still waited another 10 min.
Our server, Carlos & the bus people were Friendly, Professional & efficient. The food is always delicious & great value. We enjoyed the complimentary cauliflower appetizer sent to my email.
We went there for our twin daughters' 18th birthday. Just us and two of their friends.
Ordered one Chalkboard sashimi starter and four entrees, which was still way more than enough! Ended up taking food home. Our server was very friendly and attentive. He brought out a double chocolate brownie with ice cream alit with candles for our daughters.
Fun and fulfFILLING dinner.
Carlos the waiter was excellent. Very friendly, always made sure we didn't need anything.
With last minute Open Table reservation we were seated immediately while walkins had to wait 30-45 minutes. Standouts were cod fish and chips, Korean rib appetizer- meaty and tasty. Lobster roll would have benefited with less avocado, more lobster and spicy seasoned fries were a bit salty. Petrale Sole with minuscule amount of crab, broccolini rabe was ok. Portions are good sized. Known for their various poke offerings. Recommend having, sharing smaller appetizer plates.
Better than expected. Service was a bit slow but the food was excellent
We had fish and chips and a nice blood orange margarita. The margarita was a little pricey but all worth it and a nice surprise as I did not expect them to have seasonal cocktails on their menu.
We visited on New Years Eve - we were the last table and were welcomed by our waiter. We had brought a bottle of sparkling grape soda to share with the kids at midnight EST - our waiter was super nice and brough us champagne glasses, we offered him some as well and had our toast! super cute - dinner was good - always is and then we had a delicious dessert - Boston cream pie yum!
Fun, creative, and delicious food
Large variety of choices
Friendly staff, great manager Joe!
Booth. Great waiter (Roger). Good food for good value.
The salads are good here. Service is verrrry slow and not respectful. They almost made us late for our concert and all we ordered were salads. The waiter was the worst. Don’t come here if you are hungry or in a hurry.
I always enjoy the easy , friendly atmosphere and the good food and service at the Pacific Catch.
I will only eat here if I can get service from Erik. He is the best!
We go often to this restaurant, and really enjoy it. The food is consistently good, and there is great variety in the menu. Love the taco platter, and the ice tea is delicious also.
Awesome location and great food! Be sure to try the Leche Rolls for dessert! They are absolutely scrumptious!
Food is excellent! Great menu! You can order number of fish you would like with your order.
great place for families...lots of kids (all on best behavior too) food is easy, and good, full bar & wine etc. they are accommodating to special requests such as more this, less that etc. we had a fun time with good food and reasonable prices...we went on a Saturday night and I would suggest reservations a must (unless you like to wait)
