Love the atmosphere of P6. Perfect for sipping cocktails on a hot summer day. We had the Tuba crudo and Roasted beets - both dishes were phenomenal. We will definitely come back
Food was good, drinks were good, setting is great. Needs more fans for outdoor seating and the service was very slow. Love the ambiance but it needs some improvements
Super fun place. Love the ambiance. We just had dessert and drinks. Very limited dessert menu too.
It was a great time but i expected there to be more food and comfier seats. it was a great time but was hot and didn’t love my specific location where we sat but it was a nice time generally.
Arrived for reservation at 730 not realizing they close at 8. Hostess said they just called last call and we have 5 minutes to order. Turned out to not be entirely true as the server got us another round closer to 8. Drinks were great and the tuna crudo was pretty good. Waited around for bats until 8:45 but didn’t see any. Was really cool to see so many people line up for them. Definitely will return at some point for a good view of the bats, but with lower expectations next time :)
Our server was pretty poor. She never checked on us and when she did she was totally disinterested. We were meeting on business with a client so the whole experience was very awkward for us and our client.
The hosts on the other hand were very nice and helpful.
Hello, Thank you for the feedback regarding your last visit to P6. Not all resv seats have the view. Our table was on the side with view of hotel HVAC system. Not exclusive at all - we had resv week in advance but anyone can go up - no resv needed. Many guests w/o resv were allowed up then stood at rail so had better view than those w/resv. They even blocked view of those seated. Also no dress code - wet bathing suits, bath towels, bare feet, ... Service not Austin friendly. Brought out of town guests. Big disappointment. Won’t be back.

Absolutely beautiful views. Very laid back atmosphere and great service. The cocktails are amazing! We didn’t try any food because the options were not that appealing. Would definitely go back!!!
Could be a great spot to watch the bats if they focused on the customer. However it seemed like all the staff were more concerned with shoeing everyone out so they could go home (before the bats went home). Plus $12 for a horrible bottle of beer that I only took one sip of.
Hello BrianH, I'm very sorry to hear about the poor experience during your last visit to P6 and thank you for taking the time to share you valuable feedback. I'm sorry you felt your experience was cut short and didn't find value in what you ordered. I hope you will give us another chance and come back to experience the level of service and hospitality we pride ourselves in at P6 and at The Line hotel.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Mason worked with us to get the right table set up and the wait staff were very friendly and offered great suggestions. It was my 2nd time there and I would love to go back. It is a great use of the space and the view is fabulous.
I didn't have any food which is why i gave it 3 stars
I've been here 3 times since it opened, this was by far the worst. We had a child size portion of cheese and meet for an exorbitant cost. The service was okay, minus being upcharged $4 for a margarita...Honestly this place is destined to become a touristy, mediocre, cheesy place.
Wasn’t as amazing as I wanted it to be. Popular place for groups of girls it seems. Food and drinks were okay not amazing.
Everywhere you look is beauty, the food the furnishings the plants the pink prayer flags the drinks the lake! the city and for sure people. Can't wait to go back.
Is that plywood on the ceiling?
Overall the place is a great spot to hang out. Great view of the lake and great for people watching. Really cool vibe. The drinks are overpriced but good and the food is okay not spectacular. It is part of the hotel so you are paying hotel prices for the food and drink. Service is friendly.
Nice ambiance, lovely view of the lake and the Congress St. bridge. Food was tasty but I wish there were a few more options to fill you up a bit while you have a drink. Tables for 2 are not in the best location, tables for 3-4 or more were nicer.
The server was very pushy and kept interrupting every 10 mins. I think its important to let people enjoy their drinks/ food and understand when to interrupt.
Absolute fave spot!!!! I take everyone here and would come every weekend!
Such a beautiful space and view of Lady Bird Lake, but such a disappointing experience. It was sparsely occupied, but when you tried to make a reservation online, it was booked until 8:45 p.m., and we had no idea why since it was mostly vacant. Maybe it was the bad weather, but other downtown spots we went to before and after were hopping! Also the music was too loud to carry on a conversation without yelling, a cocktail waitstaff didn't know the menu and acted annoyed when I asked a question about a drink, and several great spots on the south side were open, but we had to ask to be relocated since our spot on the west side had no view. P6 came off pretentious, totally not Austin. I hope they improve since I'd love to give them another chance.
Old friends I. Town for business met for drinks and snacks. Out service was excellent very accommodating to my flow of guests.
It was the night of the huge storm and it was a great experience!
We were really excited to try this place but it was underwhelming. The main downer was the service from our server. She was terrible...extremely slow, didn’t check on us. She would just walk by and not ask if we wanted anything else (food or drinks). It must’ve been the blond bangs clouding her night. I kid you not, there were 3 other tables who had a hard time getting her to attend to them. Especially when it came to the bill. However, everyone else other than our server was extremely nice and incredibly gracious (the young blonde male host and 2 others, maybe managers (?) - a dark haired European guy and the other a bearded guy. All who were not our servers, checked on us more than our actual server!
A few tips of advice....get better lighting on the patio - we were there at night and couldn’t even see what we were eating. Add more food options - not enough choices.
This place has potential!
P6 is my new favorite place to enjoy the Austin sunshine ! The decor and comfort of this new gem is perfect. We loved the craft cocktails, appetizers and yummy lavender cookies as we soaked in the view. Even the glassware is lovely with our swift and attentive staff refilling our drinks in a timely manner !
Must go !!!
The view and atmosphere was nice. 10/10 place for great pictures if that is what you want to do. It is definitely a place to get drinks and hang out but I would not go there to just eat.
The food was terrible and drinks were overpriced but cute space and great view. Definitely not a “rooftop” as advertised but more just a bar w a patio. Not awful but slightly overrated.
We arrived at the time of our reservation with one party ahead of us at the host stand. The host took them to their area and was gone for a good 5 minutes before coming back. We were seated outside as requested. The patio is very cute and we had a great view of the sunset. I will say for late April it was very warm, so I’m not sure how that will translate in the summer months when it’s much much warmer.
We spent a good amount of time looking at the menu before our waitress came up and realized nobody had brought by water. She took our orders and quickly brought water. Our gourges were delivered well before our cocktails but were very good. Service from then on was hit and miss with our waitress sometimes missing for big chunks of time and then conversely sometimes coming by to ask us the same question twice within a 1 minute period.
The biggest issue we had was my boyfriend discovering after we got home that they had swapped his credit card with someone else’s and we had to drive back to exchange it. They did comp our ticket and were very apologetic but it didn’t surprise me that it happened with how poor our service was during our time there.
Overall it was a great date night spot and I would go back for a drink or two to watch the sunset but you may have to flag down your waiter to get a cocktail refresh and make sure they’re charging you correctly and returning the correct card.
The best part about this place is the view.. which is honestly the only thing I would go back for. Drink and food menu is very small and abstract. Anyone who is even remotely picky would have a hard time finding something to eat here. The food is only tapas and "shareable" plates which makes it great for a happy hour but not for a meal. Especially since there are not traditional tables and chairs but couches and coffee tables. We had a 12 pm reservation which is when they open. It took almost 10 minutes for a host to show up and take us upstairs. Once we got up there service was still slow. Everyone was very nice and personable, however, it took 15 minutes just to get our drinks out. Again, this is a great place if you are looking for a happy hour with a great view - not a meal.
We decided to make a reservation because it stated it placed you by the railing on the outer deck. However, when we arrived, we were seated inside, which is not what we wanted. It wasn't that busy, so we do not understand why the table we reserved for outside was not given to us. We left after one drink and explained to the hostess that we were leaving due to the seat placement even with a reservation. Service was spotty and it took us a while to find out waitress to get our check. View from outside was great, just wish we would have been seated there as requested.
Great place to watch the bats under Congress Bridge at dusk! Don't plan on filling up on food and drink here - very pricey, but delicious cheese and charcuterie boards. The lamb tartar was to die for!
Fantastic view. Fantastic drinks. Fantastic service.
We absolutely LOVED P6, the service was amazing, the cocktails were delicious and the view was unbeatable!
It's worth visiting once for the views, atmosphere and decor. Outside of that - I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. The drinks were just okay. Wasn't impressed with the food options which were limited. And worst of all was the staff. The bartenders were rude. When we were finally sat at our table we weren't sure if P6 had waiters that came to the tables or not because no one waited on us for around 30 minutes. When we stopped someone - the girl acted as if she couldn't be bothered to help us. Turns out she was supposed to be our waitress the entire time. She continued to have attitude and acted as if we were a burden to her night the entirely of our stay. I gave P6 two stars strictly based on the views, atmosphere and nice decor.
Excellent evening out with my wife enjoying cocktails in a new austin rooftop bar with a beautiful view. "Amy" our waitress took excellent care of us making sure our glasses were full and our tabletop candle was lit. We will definitely be returning to visit again.
Service was excellent! Brian Floyd and his team have created an inventive and nicely curated cocktail list, perfectly suitable for the outdoor setting and warm summer months to come. The staff takes care of their guests will the upmost attention to detail. Very warm, friendly and inviting environment. The setting overlooking the water is beautiful and serene.
Great experience, super service!
Seating too far apart and mixed drinks were horrible -but they were very gracious for holding our seats since we were late
LOVED! Cocktails, service, view, eye candy.. go here! Just 2 suggestions with love.. our plastic tent window wouldn't open because the zipper was stuck. That would've been amazing because the weather turned stunning. (it had been raining earlier) the hummus with crudite, I felt, needed a little more flavor but the presentation was stunning. Loved the egg tomato dish, cocktails on point!
We were celebrating multiple bdays there. Weirdly we got sat on the couch area instead of a table. We asked to get moved to a table and the waitress said sorry that was reserved for people who made reservations. Which btw I did do! Then the restaurant remained empty of people and she still didn’t move us to a table. We are a group 30 something hip professionals. It seemed we got treated a lil different because we looked more like the staff there then the crowd that was there. Food and drink were ok. I ordered an old fashioned, first round has lemon and orange wedge with cherry and my second round had non of those things. I found this place inconsistent and the staff a bit rude. Not sure I’d go back. Great patio, plants and view.
My boyfriend was in from out of town so I made a reservation about a week in advance, thinking that this would be a romantic date night near the water. We ended up waiting 15 minutes extra for a table seated directly behind a concrete pole. I explained to the hostess that this whole situation was pretty unacceptable so she brought over a manager. Neither were particularly empathetic or understanding but they reseated us, overseeing the eye sore of a roof. They took care of our first round because of this issue, which was kind, as the drinks are around $15 a piece. We got the $28 “charcuterie board” which was really just a small plate of meat (no cheese), looking similar to bologna. Overall, not worth the overpriced food and drinks. There are much better rooftop bars in town.
Absolutely amazing. We were treated so well. Will be back soon
