I would only recommend P6 for drinks and a light meal before some other activity -- and only for the benefit of the view you are afforded. The acoustics in the indoor section is so bad, you can not hear the person next to you. I'd only ever choose to sit outside. Drinks were great; food was acceptable.

The overall experience was good because of the ambiance and delicious cocktails. We walked in with a reservation but they said room inside (which we reserved) was limited but we could fit on the end of a large community table - despite having had a reservation. We opted to wait outside for a bit until another table opened inside, and waited 20 minutes before the hostess obtained our server to provide menus. The food was delicious but our crew was definitely still hungry despite ordering quite a bit of food, despite knowing it would be tapas style. The three person cheese plate included two cheeses that were very hard to cut and therefore made for entertaining bonding for the party. As a whole, we will be back and I would recommend P6 to friends for the view and cocktails, but recommend pre-eating first.

Note this place has a very limited food menu - this would be good for a post-work drink + appetizer, but keep looking if you want a more robust/varied food offering.

The views are amazing. I wouldn't count on seeing bats, since certain times of year the lighting isn't right. The bats fly out at the opposite side of the bridge, so you definitely can't see them in the month of July. I hear August is better. No matter what, you do get great sunset and panoramic views. The octopus is amazing. It is VERY hot outside. Not all tables and seating areas had fans and we were one of those left out. They need to buy more fans or install ceiling fans or misters. It's a cozy patio, but definitely need more cooling solutions.

Staff was nice but seemed very disorganized. In other words- “did not seem to have their sh** together”. My group was asked about my reservation name three times, even after seated. The wait staff did not notice that all plates we ordered were already on the table and kept apologizing for the delay on the dish that we were eating. Food, drinks and ambience were all very good.- but the staff was just awkward and made a good topic of discussion for my group. This rating may be a little bias because it was a special occasion and I had high hopes for a very grand and beautiful evening but it did get overshadowed by the service and slightly long wait times.

I had high hopes for this place but was disappointed. Menu was extremely limiting and we felt like there was nothing we really wanted to order. For a place that sells small plates, they barely fit on our tiny table. The atmosphere turned super clubby. Not a classy place. Definitely will not recommend this to friends. But, the wait staff were phenomenal.

I made a reservation for outside but once I got there they told me that the system automatically chose inside. I couldn't sit outside because it was either all taken or because the tables were for four people but I only had three people. But the table they placed me inside was for four people. Was disappointed that each time I go to P6 I was told to make a reservation for the outside tables so I did a week ahead of time and I still was placed inside.

The atmosphere was loud and uncomfortable. The food selection was incredibly limited. We ordered the cheese tray. The cheese was ok but portions were slight. No bread was offered but merely dry, hard to eat crackers; we weren’t even given a cheese knife. The price for what was provided was way out of proportion.

Loved the view and ambience. Service was ok, but we came close to closing and it felt like we were being a nuisance to our waitress. We wanted to be able to see the bats, but they closed down before the sun set, unfortunately. The drinks were pricey- our bill was over 70$ for 5 drinks (only one was a cocktail, the other 4 were wine). But, I understand, we paid for the view. Certainly a cool place!! The food looked good, but we didn’t have any.

Try the Confit garbanzo dip with House made crackers. Delicious! Good cocktail offerings. Sit outside if possible. Lovely view of lake. We didn’t like our original table, it was in a area with full sun. Hostess made sure we were happy and seated us at a better table. Great service.

P6 is well located and has very nice views of Town Lake. The service by Kay was professional. Phoebe was a big help with getting my party the correct table for the evening. Tasty food. The cocktails were average tho my colleagues enjoyed their beers and chitchatting. I like the casual Cali-like seating.

The cheese board for 3 was small, but good. The charcuterie board for 5 was too small for 5 and the meat was very greasy as was the flat bread. Our group did not care for it. The service was scarce, had to wait a while for our check.

The location is wonderful right on the lake. The drinks were very good and they have a decent but limited food menu. Service was not great, good along time for the waitress to take the order and then to bring the drinks. Staff didn’t seem to care much about service and some looked grumpy. Not a real Austin vibe.

Arrived for reservation at 730 not realizing they close at 8. Hostess said they just called last call and we have 5 minutes to order. Turned out to not be entirely true as the server got us another round closer to 8. Drinks were great and the tuna crudo was pretty good. Waited around for bats until 8:45 but didn’t see any. Was really cool to see so many people line up for them. Definitely will return at some point for a good view of the bats, but with lower expectations next time :)

Not all resv seats have the view. Our table was on the side with view of hotel HVAC system. Not exclusive at all - we had resv week in advance but anyone can go up - no resv needed. Many guests w/o resv were allowed up then stood at rail so had better view than those w/resv. They even blocked view of those seated. Also no dress code - wet bathing suits, bath towels, bare feet, ... Service not Austin friendly. Brought out of town guests. Big disappointment. Won’t be back.

Could be a great spot to watch the bats if they focused on the customer. However it seemed like all the staff were more concerned with shoeing everyone out so they could go home (before the bats went home). Plus $12 for a horrible bottle of beer that I only took one sip of.

Such a beautiful space and view of Lady Bird Lake, but such a disappointing experience. It was sparsely occupied, but when you tried to make a reservation online, it was booked until 8:45 p.m., and we had no idea why since it was mostly vacant. Maybe it was the bad weather, but other downtown spots we went to before and after were hopping! Also the music was too loud to carry on a conversation without yelling, a cocktail waitstaff didn't know the menu and acted annoyed when I asked a question about a drink, and several great spots on the south side were open, but we had to ask to be relocated since our spot on the west side had no view. P6 came off pretentious, totally not Austin. I hope they improve since I'd love to give them another chance.
