The Oyster Bar always does oysters right! Cold, fresh and perfectly shucked! The horseradish is real and accompanied by cocktail sauce and a red vinegar sauce. Our waiter Ben was outstanding and kept up w our hungry table of 10! Well be back soon!
Great place! The food is delicious and the service is top notch.
My husband & I have had some delicious meals at the Oyster Bar in the past, both brunch and dinners. But last night 9/17 was a real disappointment. The fried oysters were tasty but very heavily battered as was the cod in the fish & chips dinner. He picked this off most of his fish. I was excited to order the lobster roll which I’ve had there before because I remembered how delicious it was . Last night my plate was 2/3 French fries and a tiniest lobster tail on a hotdog bun…this plate for $40 ! Was this a new kitchen crew? Or short staffed? We left unsatisfied.
Oysters were great!!! Happy place to dine out at St Pete!
Great food! Great service
Excellent service and seafood on point! Love you guys!
Horrible experience. Waited over 10 minutes for our waitress to actually come to our table when we arrived. Service was horrible she never checked on us. Food was wrong and took forever to come out. Will not recommend
Though we had some very good experiences at the Oyster Bar over the last few years, last night's dinner was not one of them. Food was mediocre, overcooked (grouper and lobster), and way overpriced for what it was.
Not a great experience. They started off being out of most of the cocktails on the menu that we ordered. Waitress didnt write down any orders for a group of 6 which obviously led to her missing about 50% of orders (not an exaggeration). Such a silly problem with an easy fix but ultimately waited a long time to eat because none of my order made it to the kitchen. Food was good, not like super braggable, but still gets the job done
Took almost an hour for cold food to arrive. Plate was 3 times the size of the over cooked poached eggs on the diminutive crab cakes.
Great attentive customer service
This was our second time here and the Oysters are wonderful, but the food and service were terrible. We waited forever for our food, which was mediocre at best. My salad had wilted lettuce and I sent it back. Our server while friendly was slow and we never had refills on water and diet coke.
Ask for Cameron! Great service, very entertaining and caring about your dining experience
Birthday dinner for my husband. Our server was amazing. Looked like John Krazinski. Real cool dude .
Great place for a casual evening. Oysters were the bomb!
Very cozy and happy place
Good fresh food
Great food and service !
Excellent happy hour raw and fried oysters were equally delicious . Lobster roll was outstanding but a bit overpriced at $40. Wedge salad also very tasty. Service also excellent. Location is perfect right in heart of downtown.
Selection of raw oysters is great. However, the way they shuck, the juices run out. Fish tacos disapointing (soggy, oveloaded with a tomato salsa that was not fresh). Fish and chips standard (altho they use a good fish). Sampler platter is huge. Got it blackened and teenager liked the shrimp and scallops; the crab cakes were the frozen kind and not very good.
Good evening! Service was superb! Inventory on wine list very low. Monday night half off wines (surprise to us). Went thru three choices. Did drink pinot and Jordan Cab.
This is the place for oysters that are not from the gulf. My wife and I truly enjoy oysters. This place is impeccable and has remarkable service. The oyster were phenomenal. You will not be dissatisfied.
Food was excellent but the service wasn’t what I would expect for the money spent. It wasn’t bad, but it was a little slow and we never did learn our server’s name.
First visit, and Blanton provided recommendations, all which were outstanding. Great experience overall.
The table next to my table was super loud and to much use of profanity language
Birthday surprise. Service was great, food was incredible.
It’s not open!!!
Best clam chowder ever eaten. Oysters Rockefeller fantastic
Great dollar oysters on Wednesdays.
Upscale bar with fabulous oysters! Friendly place for a drink and bites!
The food was delicious and our server was super attentive. I tried something out of my usual box and was pleasantly surprised.
Oysters are great. Would go back again and bring guests.
Always wonderful. We had the crab cake for the app and it was so fresh and delicious. I had a lobster roll for dinner and it just gets better with each bite
Great food! When we visit Tampa, we visit the Oyster Bar.
Amazing oysters. Great wine. Awesome service. Will for sure go back soon.
Our favorite brunch spot in the tampa bay area. perfect for a boozy brunch with friends and making a day of it
Our waiter was very personable. Love the atmosphere!
Food and atmosphere was excellent !!
Fantastic service, from checking in, to our bartender, and our great waitress. Most food was enjoyed....2 of us felt the clam chowder was definitely too salty, but biggest disappointment was the raw oysters. For $36/dozen I was expecting to be wowed. We will come back - but not for oysters.
We had a great night at The Oyster Bar! The oysters were awesome and were handled with care to preserve the salinity inside the shell. Our steak was prepared exactly as ordered and they even split into 2 plates since we shared the entree, after finishing a few dozen oysters. Service was on point. We love it here and definitely recommend a visit if you are in town!!
Oyster bar is a very affordable place to get oysters. The oyster shooters are the best. Keep an eye out for happy hour specials. FYI brunch on Sunday is over at 3.
