A wonderful evening dining with friends. The food quality is delicious and the service attentive. A wonderful gem in the neighborhood. Highly recommend.
The drinks and appetizers were delicious! All the food was very fresh and came out quickly. Great spot for a date night.
Excellent food and menu options. We had the roasted branzino which was amazing, fresh, and a good quantity for 2 adults and 1 child. The mac and cheese is also incredible. Cocktails were delicious. Would help to maybe play a little background music to have a vibe going. Outdoor seating is plentiful. Good service. Would go back many times over!
I’ll quote my 87 year old mother: “For a $30 entree, there should be cloth napkins.”
Then she found out it was the same owner. “All they changed on the menu is the text; prices are still too high.”
The wait staff were very friendly and attentive. I gave ‘em a 20% plus tip. I hope they get it.
A friend and I dined here for restaurant week and everything on the menu looked appetizing. For starters, I had the beets and arugula salad- delish! My main course was the short rib rigatoni and while it sounds amazing, I'd rate it 3/5. The sauce was really strong.. too strong and I couldn't really decipher what gave it a strong flavor. My friend said it tasted like BBQ sauce, I thought maybe the sauce was perhaps reduced too much, but either way, the dish was swimming in it. For dessert, I ordered the brownie, which was surprisingly also strongly spiced. Without the ice cream, my mouth may have been on fire. If those dishes were toned down a little, I think it would easily have warranted a five star review. I would still return to try other menu options; I'd say its still worth checking out.
Would not classify them as fine dining.
Food is mediocre. Service definitely helped with our experience. Train you servers to open a bottle of wine.
So happy to have this caliber of service and menu in this neighborhood. We really needed a good restaurant like this!
We enjoyed the restaurant week meal. We also ordered from the regular menu and found the food to be well prepared and tasty, but the portions were very small, and the prices way too high.
Food was fresh and delicious. Excellent lemon drop martini. We had to ask the server for things more than once but they were very busy with the seating more available. All in all a pleasant experience.
My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful meal. I had the ahi tacos and baked oysters while he enjoyed the restaurant week menu. First course was an arugula beet salad followed by
A yummy Flatbread and caramel brownie. The bartender was our server and wonderful. We had a great time.
Great food and the service was great!
We have dined at Vine Cottage many times in the past and were excited to see what changes have been made at Oyster & Pearl. I was somewhat disappointed. The Lemon Drop Martini I ordered had essentially zero vodka in it. My favorite dish there is the short rib rigatoni and it just wasn't the same this time. New recipe??? And our waitress was a bit impatient and inattentive. I think COVID has not been kind to restaurants but it seems that would make restaurants try a little harder. As diners, we try to be understanding but this was an overall unsatisfactory dining experience.
First off, the service was awesome! The food was delicious. From
the oysters to the salad to my scallop dish. I will definitely be back to dine there again soon.
Amazing new place on Lake Murray. Great fresh seafood options, everything we had was excellent. Nice wine list, and full bar. Dessert was also great. We ate outside at a nice sized table. Overall, higher end menu and dining. Only ding is maybe want to frost the surrounding glass, view of busy road is not the best. Highly recommend and will definitely go back.
A neighborhood gem. We had delicious mussels in a saffron broth and grilled octopus for starters. Then a whole fish branzino (great flavor but too many bones not enough meat) and short rib risotto that was the bomb! Would order everything but the branzino again.
Had to ask for a server after waiting 20min at our table. About 15 min later we got our ceviche appetizer that was mainly tomatoes. We continued to wait as our waitress walked by multiple times severing the tables on either side of us and only refilled our drinks once. We were there 1:40min total and never got and update on the status of our dinner. I left a $20 bill on the table (only because my wife made me) and we got up and left. The waitress probably still doesn't know we left.
We were safely seated outdoors. Everyone is following COVID-19 protocols. Our server, Jacob, was pleasant, knowledgeable and just the right amount of attentive. I highly recommend. The quality and value of the food and wine list are amazing.
Your food was awesome - but like the Vine Cottage, y’all need ambiance! Candles, twinkle lights, set your tables, decorate the walls. Same for patio - twinkle lights, plants, etc...
We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here. The short ribs are to die for. The beet salad the salmon and the branzino were all prepared exquisitely. Highly recommend this restaurant. We brought our pup and sat on the patio very enjoyable experience.
Food was great. Waitstaff was knowledgeable and friendly. We sat on the patio which was a little cold, so I recommend sitting inside or on the inside of the patio when available. It is on a busy street so the traffic was quite loud. We will be back!
1st time here. Great food! Great service! Great server!
Great time. Went with friends and had the Burrata, Mac n Cheese and Mussels. Everything wa good including the margaritas. I hope they add a happy hour menu soon!
Appetizers and wine very good ;entrees delicious our server Wendy a delight highly recommended. Would suggest that they put up trees or plants to cancel out the street view and noise❣️
Outdoor seating was safe, spacious, and comfortable. The service was amazing. Food and wine was a great value and so very tasty. We will be back.
