Food was great along with the service. It is very loud in this restaurant but we were aware if that.

Food here was decent for the most part. The watermelon salad was over dressed and the service was a bit on the spotty side - between us my wife and I ordered 3 tacos and they conserved taco holders by delivering them all on one taco tray, resulting in the messy need to transfer one taco across the table. Tacos were good; highly recommend the mushroom one; brussels sprouts were also good. Esquites was nothing to write home about.

Every dish at Oyamel met or exceeded our expectations from the smoky salsa that comes gratis to the table to the Cafe de Olla we had for dessert. Highlights included the summer corn, cauliflower, brisket and the molten queso with chorizo. The meal overall is an excellent value for the money. The service is attentive and thoughtful. We enjoyed the experience and plan to return.

Food was excellent and server friendly. Very busy and somewhat slow service. We weren’t in a hurry so slowness wasn’t a problem. My only complaint is that it is a very loud restaurant. They could benefit from some sound absorption on the walls/ceiling.

Dinner experience was very good. Only negative were lights went out in our row by windows supposedly to create more romantic ambience though rest of restaurant remained brightly lit. We just felt half of meal was eating in the dark.

We had an amazing dinner at Oyamel with my family. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was outstanding! Our server Joanna took such great care of us — she gave us fantastic recommendations, especially for the kids. The menu can be a little tricky for younger palates, especially if they’re not into spicy food, but she helped us pick the perfect dishes, and everything turned out wonderfully. My dad ordered the tortilla soup and absolutely loved it. We also enjoyed the Atún Pacífico ceviche and the chilorio de Res tacos. The margaritas were super refreshing — a perfect match for our meal. Thank you to the whole team for such a special evening. We’ll definitely be back!

Nice variety of menu items, many of which are unique to this restaurant. The special of the day, stuffed, deep fried squash blossoms were outstanding. Hope I get a chance to order them again.
