Great restaurant. We had then three course meal and every dish was delicious. Chill vibe and friendly atmosphere.
Wonderful service. Loved the 1/2 price bottles of wine. Chefs special was amazing.
Food is exceptional (chef 3 course selection), as was the service. Thank you for a lovely evening.
The service was great but there were many times the buffet was missing items. No French toast, no eggs Benedict, very few pastries. We didn’t go up once and find it fully stocked.
It was an experience never to be repeated. It was a once in a lifetime meal; we were seated in an empty dining room, candles were lit on the tables, the services was phenomenal, and the food was exponentially fantastic. I would recommend over and over again!
Excellent meal. Very quiet in the restaurant(Sunday of a long weekend). Hope more people frequent this place as we hope they can continue. Better value than most. We will be back.
Both my wife and I had an amazing meal at the Oxbow and the service was very good as well. Extra points for the Halibut dish and we even came on half price bottle of wine night! Can't ask for much more, we will be back for sure.
I rarely write a review but have to give kudos to the staff at Oxbow for accommodating us so quickly with an Open Table reservation that the restaurant couldn’t locate I. Their system. It was a very busy evening but within 5-10 minutes we were seated AND seated in accordance to the special request we made. The food was delicious, atmosphere delightful and the staff attentive but not obtrusive.
Also, the next day after receiving an email from Open Table regarding a missed reservation, I wrote back and within hours that was straightened out between the restaurant and Open Table.
My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our dinner here. The food and atmosphere was wonderful. We would definitely go back!
Had a wonderful evening celebrating our anniversary. We actually got married in the hotel and had our reception here too. Food was delicious as usual and perfect wine pairing with our meal. Molly and Nathan made our evening go by wonderfully. I highly recommend Oxbow!
Excellent as always. We each had a different entrée and everyone commented about the unique flavours and how delicious their dish was.
We had the Chef's Choice menu and found it tasty and the potions adequate. It was good value for the money. The server, Molly, was very pleasant and helpful.
It was a quiet, Sunday night at the restaurant, with only a few tables occupied. We sat on the pleasant outdoor patio, wtih a lovely view of the city. The noise of the traffic along Memorial can be distracting (nothing the restaurant can do about this). Food is recommended, service is quite casual/informal.
The food was fantastic and the serving staff was very friendly
Overall the menu was very limited.
Very noisy on the patio with Memorial dr traffic- patio looks lovely but noise level with heavy trucks going by was high - may be quieter on a weekend
Fish cakes were very “fishy” tasting- which generally means not fresh fish.
I would give oxbow a try again for brunch
Food was very good. Service was a bit random and awkward. Felt like the first time out for some of the staff. But pleasant.
Bit of slow start when we arrived for dinner at 6 as the serving staff were off doing something. Once we had our servers attention, service was fine as was the food. We had the kale salad (tasty) the ribeye burger and the halibut. Both mains were very good although there could have been a bit more asparagus with the halibut. We dined in the lounge area as the main dining area seemed a bit dark and loud with piped in music.
We were dining at oxbow on Friday night. The service was super slow with only about six couples in the whole restaurant. We waited over 2 hours for our meal. The gnocchi was over cooked and mushy and the halibut was also over cooked. What I was most upset about was that my husband and I had a gift card for 150$. The bill came to 130$ and we asked the waiter to take the rest for a tip. He told us he was unable to use that for a tip. So I asked him to give me change and I would then leave a tip. He then went on to say that he can not return money from a gift card at all. That the restaurant / hotel takes the rest of the money. This is horrible . We got that gift card as a gift and is the same as cash. It is absolutely ridiculous that this restaurant “ takes the remaining money” off the gift card. I won’t be going back and I will not recommend this restaurant.
We love Oxbow. The food is inventive, the environment friendly, and the wine list is very reasonably priced. The fixed price menu is also a very good choice.
Wedding anniversary was very good. Great service by waitress. She was lovely.Menu was limited but what they did have was incredible well made quality ingredients. Front desk clerk needed an adrenaline shot... not someone I would have front of house to greet guests in a boutique setting.
Place was amazing! Loved the food and portion size was great.
Nate was awesome! He liked our childish jokes, but also understood good service. The food was excellent.
I’ve eaten here a number of times and enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance. This time however I was very disappointed. I’d ordered a traditional breakfast with over easy eggs, sausage, kale and multigrain toast. 1 egg was hard and cooked through, the other was broken with no yolk left. The kale was half yellowed and tough and my toast was white. I feel the food quality fell through and the server wasn’t attentive. Incredibly disappointed and will likely not go back any time soon.
The food was excellent. Dishes come out looking a little 'smaller' than expected, but the top-level gourmet flavours make it a full, satisfying dish that does not leaving you feeling 'stuffed'. Quality over quantity. Service was great. We enjoyed the 1/2 price bottle of wine special.
My wife and I enjoyed a lovely three-course dinner - the dinner was excellent, and the service was very good. The server provided a good recommendation for a wine pairing with the meal.
Good food and service. We were in the lobby/bar part and it was quite loud with tv and loud guests but overall a nice brunch.
We had a wonderful meal. The food was excellent and we had great service.
The food was good. Service was average. The lunch menu was VERY limited.
Fantastic food, great service and ambiance.
Will definitely eat here again!!
From the time we were greeted by the bartender Nathan and from the service by
Ventura we had a great night..
Chef Jose is a gem
Great dining experience. Dessert was amazing! Thanks!
I'd eat here again if I was passing by, but would not go out of my way...
Steak was mediocre, but pasta and meatballs were very tasty
The service was great. Both young ladies that helped us were lovely.
The our main proteins were cooked absolutely perfect. However we felt like the risotto and gnocchi could have used more seasoning.
Overall we had a very nice experience.
We enjoyed a wonderful Friday evening dinner at Oxbow. The Chef's Three Course menu was just delicious and with unique flavours and textures. Great wine selection, as well.
Absolutely amazing! We have found a new favorite restaurant. Nate’s service is top notch and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our evening. Chefs tasting tonight was awesome! The carrot dish with aioli was so flavorful! Thank you to the whole team.
Absolutely phenomenal eggs benny. Great service from our kind and knowledgeable server. Will be back!
We had a reservation for Mother’s Day brunch. The menu looked great and the restaurant was nice. The food wasn’t ready to go at the time of our reservation and we had to wait quite awhile for the buffet to be finished setting up. The best part of the meal was the bread basket of warm pastries and home made jam. It was delicious and right out of the oven. From there, things deteriorated. The buffet food although JUST put out was ice cold. The flavours and presentation was lovely but the food was wasted on it being so cold. The French toast and eggs Benedict were tough to cut with the table knife provided and we had to ask for one with “teeth”. This likely was also due to being pre-made early and left to sit. I really wanted to love the restaurant and food but just couldn’t. It was disappointing but the “bones” were good. We would try there again but not for a set menu buffet unless the execution improved. Perhaps later seatings rather than first thing in the morning would have been better?
Lovely quaint spot. Great service. Delicious meal.
Always a great experience
