Ox is now open for both indoor and outdoor patio seating, seven days per week.

Please note, the weather is out of our control, and therefore with any outdoor experience, there is always a risk of inclement weather and heat waves. As a small restaurant, we have limited ability to accommodate additional seating in the dining room. In the case of inclement weather, we will do our best to accommodate by moving your reservation inside, but we cannot guarantee seats will be available.

OX Restaurant finds inspiration in the wood-fired grilling tradition of Argentina, and with it, the culinary heritage of Spain, France and Italy.

Showcasing prime local meats and fish, OX also features seasonal produce in distinctive preparations.

OX harnesses the culinary talent of Portland chefs Greg Denton and Gabrielle Quiñónez Denton in a friendly and comfortable neighborhood restaurant with an energetic vibe and creative menu designed to appeal to the palate of the Pacific Northwest.

    The service at Ox is top notch; other restaurants should take notes and observe! The food is excellent too.. steaks are cooked and seasoned to perfection on an open flame. The Clam Chowder with bone marrow is fantastic too.

    Really great restaurant with fantastic food. Probably one of the best steaks and pork chops I’ve ever had in my life.

    Food and service were outstanding, as usual. Clam chowder is next level, so is the skirt steak. I prefer the main dining room to the long alcove space, but aside from that, peak dining and perfect way to celebrate graduation. Thank you Ox!

    We had a treasured experience at Ox. We ran the gamut from Asado Argentino and ribeye steak to carrots, salads, breads and sauces. All of it was some of the best we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to return.

    Ambiance and service was wonderful. Loved being able to see the wood fired open kitchen. We had the steak tartar, dungeness crab bruschetta, and the entree for two just to get a taste of a little of everything. All the food was great but did seem a bit overpriced for what it was.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at OX. The food was incredible, and the service staff were kind and knowledgable. It absolutely lived up to our expectations of casual fine dining, without a hint of pretension.
