Food n drinks were great. View was great. Loud table near us the entire dinner. Overall great experience
Brought friends with us because in the past we always enjoyed our visit. We remember a cheese board that was phenomenal. This time we ordered the cheese and charcuterie board and what a disappointment. For $25, it was far less the value and no comparison to the prior. The Margarita pizza was wonderful, however. The wines were not as good as I remember them. Just not as happy with Owera as we used to be. Sorry.
Totally delightful experience. Did wine flights and had the burrata appetizer and a flatbread. Everything was delicious and we tasted some very nice wines. Would be nice if there were some moderate entrees on the menu. The surf and turf sounded good, but large - would have preferred to be able to order just the surf or just the turf. Since there weren't moderate entrees, we went with a flatbread which was good, but would have liked to have other options in between the very large entree and a flatbread. But all in all, we really enjoyed the experience. In fact, brought some friends back the next day!
We had a fun evening. We had a flight of red and white wines and enjoyed the pizza and charcuterie.
I think it would be great if they offered artisian cheeses and meats from the region.
I came here with my girlfriend last night, sat on the patio and had a great evening. We enjoyed the dessert board, pizzas and the charcuterie board along with some Cabernet Franc. It was a great evening, beautiful sunset, and even better service. The young boy with blonde hair was the perfect balance of good service and relatability. We originally had a reservation inside but the girl at the hostess stand allowed us to move outside and answered all of our questions with poise and confidence. Cant wait to come back and try some more wines.
Had last reservation at 8:00. They literally ran out of food. As we were being seated the hostess told us that they “were pretty much out of food”. Had one pizza left and enough for 3 apps. We said we would make it work. They ended up selling the pizza to someone else’s table. It was very expensive for what the quality and portion. 3 couples, 3 apps, some wine. $75/couple and left hungry. Never again.
We had a very enjoyable outdoor dinner with friends. Our server was Brian. He was friendly and helpful. The wine, beer, and food was good. The winery was busy, but staff all seemed relaxed and happy to be there. We hadn’t been here since 2019, and there have been some noticeable improvements. The outdoor seating is wonderful with a beautiful view.
We love Owera and it's always worth the visit. The fried chicken, however, was not the best (surprisingly). It was on the bland side, but otherwise it was the experience we thought it would be.
Oven fired pizza, cheese board, a wine flight and a beer. Everything from service to food was excellent.
We ate outside at Owera and enjoyed delicious food and wine there.
Wine and pizza’s excellent!
We made a reservation. They said they didn’t have it even though I showed them the confirmation on Open Table. They did nothing to accommodate us.
I was just here a few weeks ago and had a phenomenal experience. But came again this week and was pleasantly surprised by the expansion of their menu. The surf and turf board was 10/10 as well as the Mediterranean board.
We had a party of 6. The wine and food was amazing and the service was excellent. We will definitely return.
Amazing place to eat
Very limited menu, which was disappointing
The winery has only been open for several weeks when we visited. The staff was friendly and we met the owner. The wines are good and they have a nice selection. As for food only wood fired pizza was available but it was done to perfection. Good stop if your in the area.
We are very happy that the vineyard is open to the public again! We were greeted be a young lady in a black dress, can’t say enough about her. Excellent customer service skills and worked the room like a pro. Our server was very good she made sure we had all of our questions answered. Food was limited but very good. Looking forward to going back soon.
We had a great evening outside. It was a little cool that evening and I should have been more prepared for it.
Had a blast with the two girls at the bar! Absolutely love the le crescent wine!
Went to Owera for an afternoon with family. The vineyard is located mid way between our family groups & we each happily drove 2hrs for another wonderful visit. It was great to see the cafe open again after COVID, we stocked up on wine, had a wonderful tasting board & pizza. Jackie was a delight as our server, as was all the OV team we encountered. Couldn’t have asked for a better day!
Limited menu of pizza and charcuterie but the views, wine and service are worth it. Highly recommend for a relaxing stay. We even brought our two year old and they had high chair, crayons and coloring paper for her.
I had an absolutely perfect experience at Owera. I have been coming here for years and it still holds up. From the start to the end the entire staff was so kind and accommodating. It began to rain and the hostess was so kind to rush everyone on the patio to the inside. She made sure everyone outside could fit inside as well as the new reservations coming in. While their menu is smaller than before, the pizzas were great and the wine was good. They even bottled new wines in 2020. We had a great server and cannot recommend this place enough. The people were so nice and made sure they could help us in any way shape or form. With the select staff they did have they were timely but not in a rushed or stressed manner. Cant wait to come back!
Always loved going to Owera, but open table should not show their menu when the establishment is only offering 2 choices!!! Very disappointed in what they had to offer for food but at least the service and the view were wonderful!
The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The gluten free pizza was a fantastic option and tasty. We will definitely be back!
The flatbreads were soooo delicious. We had the garlic and margherita. It was fun to have a wine slushee which was refreshing in a warm day. The flight of wines was a nice way to sample various ones. And the scenery is beautiful. And Emily was a friendly, kind and attentive server, too.
So glad the kitchen is back open! Owera is a favorite for date night for sure, always amazing!
It was such a great day to celebrate with family and get together!!! The outside dining is superb and enjoyable. Our waitress was above wonderful and would get answers to questions if she didn’t know them. Can’t wait till the menu opens up more !!! We absolutely love it there
We had a great experience. Food and wine was great. Outdoor area is pleasant. We have been going to Owera since they opened. We love it and are so glad they are back open after the pandemic. Such a gem.
I don't want to be too harsh in my review at a time when restaurants are experiencing staffing issues and re-introduction pains, but our visit for lunch on a Saturday could have been better. After we were seated outdoors, it took 15 minutes to be acknowledged by anyone, and several servers passed by our table. We were 10 minutes away from leaving without ordering before our server emerged. The table that was seated after we arrived was approached by a server before we were. For me, that is the inexcusable part of the meal. It takes 5 seconds to say "we'll be right with you" or take a drink order, at least.
The website mentioned there was a limited menu (although OpenTable still lists a large menu), but be prepared - the menu is currently 2 items: pizza or charcuterie. There appear to be 4 different pizzas. I don't knock a restaurant for not having a full menu shortly after opening, especially after being closed a long time, but it would have helped to be more up-front about the fact that it's essentially just snacks and wine at this point. The menu was not on the website so people could be more informed of just how limited it is. The pizza was tasty (we've always loved Owera's food) but not really worth the price. Clearly there are some growing pains here with the reopening; the servers seemed like they were juggling quite a bit, so I'm hesitant to place blame there. The new patio is a marvelous addition and the wine is always very good here. However, I don't think we'll be returning until the menu is a little more fleshed out and they've had some time to work out the kinks.
Good wine and great environment, but the food is subpar. Still using COVID as an excuse for limited menu and that’s okay I guess. But the menu consisted of a cheese board and some pizzas. Really? And the pizza wasn’t very good. Not for the price.
We were told we couldn't sit in the shade table because the computer picked our table. Hostess was very unfriendly. She seates us. We sat in hot sun 15 minutes and no one came to take order. We turned our menu in, said we were leaving, and we left. No one asked questions or frankly cared whether we were there or not. Too bad...best wine slushies and gorgeous view.
Waited 1hr and 15 minutes for our drinks, we received our pizzas and had finished them before asking the manager for our bill and to forget the drinks. I had used the app to reserve a table outside but when we got there that table was given to someone else and we were seated inside. This was very unfortunate because I love the wine but didn’t buy a single bottle because of the service we received.
