Service was excellent, atmosphere a bit loud had to speak loudly to hear each other. We all had the fish and chips chef’s own recipe. It was okay however I would order something different next time as it was bland in flavour. Everyone else in my party had the fish and chips as well and had the same comment. Other than that I would go back again and order something different from the menu. I would also recommend to friends to try Owens Landing as well.
We had an awful experience directly with the general manager, unfortunately we got up and left and did not have a chance to experience much more.
OL accommodated our last minute reservation change from 3 to 5 people. Gave us a seat in a private room, had a very personable and fun server and got to watch the Masters. Food was great too.
Fantastic that gluten free items are available and clearly marked on the menus! Food was really good too.
Everything was pretty good except for the noise level. This location could definitely use some noise dampening equipment or padding in the roof.
It was great! Lots of gluten free options!
Food was average. Service was average. Room is to big and too noisy
Came here with my wife for a weekday lunch. We made reservations online which was a good thing as it gets packed with the office crowd. We were seated promptly and away from most people. Place looks like a cross between a fancy and romantic restaurant to a sports bar. As a result it was so loud that it was hard to have a conversation.
Our server was excellent. I ordered the fish n chips. Very good and not greasy. My wife had the fish tacos. Very generous portions. I topped it off with Granville seasonal.
Enjoyed lunch but I think the noise level brings it down a bit.
Fun after work spot. Fun and lively atmosphere. Food was good (turkey burger and fish taco's) and the service was good as well. Would recommend
Decent Food. Menu has reasonable variety of mostly Pub food.
Seating is good and lighting is excellent (most restaurants are too dark for my liking)
Server was very attentive and prompt.
Weird director style chairs, need arm rest. Not a fan. Sorry
It was a nice restaurant. It was nice to see the variety of dishes available.
Irene did a gret job looking after myself and my clients, food tasty and fresh
We really enjoyed Owens Landing. Great food, service and atmosphere.
It was nice.
Had the Seared Tuna Salad, was delicious and cooked to perfection, dressing was citrus-based with herbs, very flavourful and enhanced all the salad elements. Dining partner had the Owen's Burger with sweet potato fries; again, cooked to perfection and delicious. Another member of our dining crew has multiple food intolerances and the server, manager and kitchen accommodated her many requests graciously. She had the Tomato and Steak Salad, heavily modified to meet her dietary restrictions, but she said was delicious. Cocktails were well-priced and nicely balanced in their flavours. The stand-out cocktail was the Prosecco Elderflower Cucumber Cocktail (the name of it escapes me.) Ambiance I would describe as upper-scale lounge with fresh industrial-inspired decor. Definitely visiting again for a casual Saturday night out. The place was not loud or busy, but I am told it is a mad-house during the lunch hour for the downtown lunch crowd.
Food was super delicious!! Charcuterie pizza was amazing!! Happy hour drink specials are a great deal ($1/oz wine). I wish our server had been a bit more attentive because I would have ordered another glass of wine.
Fresh cookie at the end of the meal is a nice touch.
Awesome restaurant. Food amazing. Music was very loud and made it hard to talk amongst 8 people. It was happy hour so they did turn it down after that.
Would definitely go back and highly recommend it.
Great food. Uncomfortably loud for conversation.
Food was really great, service was so-so as it was a busy lunch hour period and the music was entirely too loud (almost to the point of having to yell across the table at my work colleagues).
Tea water arrive cold. The waitress was slow with replacing it with hot water.
The pizza crust was soggy, the pizza cold and the flavor substandard.
We had problems speaking to each other as the noise level was too high.
Good food and atmosphere for a work lunch. Music was a little loud which made it hard to talk but worked out overall.
Food and drinks were great. But the service was slow even though it wasn’t busy. Our server rarely came by and we would have ordered more drinks if she had stopped by our table more frequently. So we settled up and went somewhere else. But overall we would probably give it another try.
Great food and awesome open concept. Went on a weekday and but looks like it would be fun to go on the weekend and watch a Flames game! Food was great for bar style.
We decided on Owens for our anniversary/valentines dinner and were disappointed. We sat in the lounge in front of a huge bright TV. Music was quite loud so we had a hard time chatting. Didn’t have the beer my husband wanted or dinner dish. The one he ordered came out wrong. It took our server at least 15m to figure this out. They did comp us his meal and provided us with every dessert they had on the menu for free. Just not what we had expected as we had read many positive reviews.
This is my 3rd visit to Owens Landing, all of my experiences here were great. For my team of 12 prior to Christmas, perfect food, service, we had fun and the cost was reasonable. The food is outstanding, the service could be a little quicker but our server made up for it with her beautiful personality. I also like one of the hosts/owners/managers by the name of Guy. We met when I took my team there for lunch. My name is also Guy so we hit it off quite well. Great place for a drink after work, or a fun place to gather or an intimate dinner with a special person. I will keep coming back. - Guy Martin
Owens has a kids menu which was appreciated. The pizza sauce was too spicy for the kids but otherwise the food was excellent and a great evening choice downtown. Good to watch a game.
Busy lunch hour. Would like to have seen more servers working. Party of 6 was generally pleased with the food. Personally I like to visit so a little less music volume would be good. Could not communicate with all the people in the party.
Really good food! Came fast & fresh. Really liked that we got a cookie at the end instead of a mint! Nice touch :)
We got there five minutes before our reservation and there was no host or servers in sight. We stood there for 10 minutes just waiting for anyone to greet us. Finally walked out and went to the keg next door.
Server didn’t get our main food order completely correct and seemed annoyed when I asked for my drink to be a little sweeter.
Sarah did an amazing job at our table
Thanks very much and see you next time
Excellent service, great atmosphere for business lunch. The food tasted delicious and was the right portion size. Well done!
Great as usual
Great service and great food. I was there a bit early and they were very accommodating.
Server CJ was absolutely fine, but the food (calamari as an appie and fish and chips for
Lunch) were mediocre at best.
No rush to go back , sorry
Was there for lunch. Pizza was over-cooked. Burger was over-cooked.
Restaurant is excellent the only real negative is it is really loud.
Initial service very prompt and efficient. After shift change not quite as sharp but still quite acceptable
It was busy, service was slow. First bad dish I’ve had there. The calamari was dry and over cooked. The dipping sauce was bland. Thumbs down.
