The crown jewel of the hotel, our rooftop restaurant Overlea (meaning, “over the meadows”), is a stunning open concept space with horseshoe bar, floor to ceiling windows, and breathtaking views of historic Newmarket. With terraces on each side complete with greenery, lounge furniture and fire tables, Overlea is the perfect place for a quiet escape into an evening of the unknown. Overlea in the PostMark Hotel has such a great vibe and ambience. The decor is great, the bar is cool, the views are wonderful and the food and service are also great. They REALLY NEED TO do some noise-reducing baffles, dividers, or something; it impacted our dining experience to not be able to hear each other at my own table. VADIM serves us and he was kind, friendly, efficient and professional. Had Avocado Benedict for Sunday brunch and it was super tasty. My friends had the regular eggs Benedict and the big breakfast plate (forgot the name) with sausage bacon, egg etc. We all enjoyed our meal, thank you!

The food and service at this establishment is above perfect. The chef creations and presentation incredible. Perfectly cooked delicious steaks. Sides perfect. Attentive personable staff. One drawback. When the wedding party got going in the room attached it was awfully noisy with folks going in and out for the washroom and to exit, I presume for smoking. That room should really have its own washroom.

Great restaurant, great dining experience. My only complaint which really is a big thing) is that it is way too loud… Need to install acoustic panels on the ceiling to help with the echoing and noise volume.

Beautiful place and great location- lots of potentials to be a great dine in spot for fancier gatherings. However, the food options, quality, presentations, and services must live up to the aesthetics.

It’s a beautiful restaurant but a very limited menu. Would like to see some more options, including a pasta. I think the air-conditioning was not working effectively last night so it was quite warm inside the restaurant but very nice on the patio afterwards.

Overlea was a beautiful location and the food was enjoyable. Service was quite slow, although it was very busy when we were there. Most food items were fabulous, but the entrees we found a bit underwhelming. Portions were good, better than expected. We will return, knowing there are always growing pains with a new business. Hopefully, they will take customers’ feedback and make some minor improvements. We love having Overlea in Newmarket!

Our meals were very tasty, although the chief was very innovative in his food pairings. I had a beautiful steak, but it came with French fries. Odd. A choice would have been nice. We ordered the beat salad, it had a yogurt, blue berrys and beets it was delicious. We have shared the shrimp cocktail, I felt the shrimp were much smaller than previous visit. My husband ordered a specialty Mushroom dish with a squash purée, he enjoyed it. Another guest had the Cornish hen. It was deep fried. Again, an odd way to cook it for high end restaurant, but was tasty and moist. Mashed potatoes with a well in the middle with gravy and Brussels sprouts. All in all it was good, a bit pricey, we had wine with dinner and dessert. With Tip it was over 350.00. I will mention that the large trays being pushed through the dining room to the kitchen were very noisy and distracting. Seems that was the only way to transport food back and forth to the kitchen from somewhere. Wait staff wee very attentive.

Great food and fabulous service from Vadim. We love the views and the decor and comfort however the noise level was very loud. The restaurant was very busy and we had to nearly yell to hear each other. Perhaps some sound reducing installation would be appreciated by diners.
