the food was not good and it was overpriced. I don't mind paying for good food but it wasn't
Perfect host. Perfect breakfast. The eggs on steak was amazing! Perfect gracious service.
The food was delicious! However, I guess they had recently changed their menu but hadn't fully swapped all of them out. I ordered an item specifically because it said it came with one of my favorite sides (hash bombs) but my plate came with potato chunks instead. When I asked, the waiter blamed it on the fact that I had an old menu even though everyone else at my table had the same one that showed the side. So, I guess you need to ask to make sure your menu is correct?
Vibrant, exciting atmosphere with attentive service. Upscale breakfast and brunch menu in the beautifully renovated mid-century Statler.
Friendly service, delicious food, and a comfortable dining room & atmosphere. The sausage and biscuits with gravy was great. I’d recommend checking this place out.
A vacation trip with my daughters to see the Dallas Stars, the Kimball and this Zagat recommended place for breakfast was great!
My mother said McDonald’s biscuits and gravy are better. The omelette oven was broken and thus no hash browns or omelettes. (What chef can’t make an omelette in a pan?) The brisket hash was greasy and cold, inedible. The service was horrendous. We asked for decaf coffee which came out cold after several minutes. We asked it be warmed, and we were told sorry we don’t get many decaf requests. We will have to make a pot which will take awhile. Can’t remember a worse dining experience.
You were “out of omelettes”. Not sure how a breakfast spot is out of omelettes you were. No concessions whatsoever were offered. Asked for bacon, got sausage. By the time the bacon came it wasn’t all the way cooked and I was done with breakfast. Not impressed.
Nice little place inside the Statler. Service was good, and the food came out in a reasonable time even though they were busy with lots of people from the Turkey Trot. With biscuits from Babe’s at a 12/10, Overeasy’s biscuits were good, but more at an 8/10.
I don't know what the hype is about. The breakfast was just ok. The veggie omelette was very ordinary, and bland. It had a few strands of greens with it, but there is much better in Dallas than this.
Deb/Red is awesome, every time!
Date day with the wife.
Food was mediocre - service mediocre - it’s hard for me to believe that graham is overseeing this place
Our server, Kelli, was terrific. She was friendly and attentive.
I took out-of-town guests there for a weekday brunch. The food was very good and cooked as ordered.
Great food, poor value. Wasn’t impressed with service
Great service waitress was so personable
The food was incredible and the service was great! Always such a wonderful experience when we come!!
Loved everything except the noise level it became so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. Red was our server and she was wonderful! Very attentive and helpful!
Super cute place! Great service and delicious food!
Food and service are great. The long wait with a reservation is not great...
Graham Dodds can do no wrong. Everything is fresh, vibrant, flavorful, and well-thought out. Awesome.
Easter Sunday Brunch with the family satisfied everyone’s taste from incredible deviled eggs , to a brisket hash and a tortilla soup served pho style. The Woodstock and Green Acres cocktails paired well with the spicy soup.
Great food! Great service!! A bit loud but did not diminish the lovely night
Very nice place Small menu Delicious coffee and food Would recommend it Worth a visit
Pricy for lunch but the presentation was marvelous and it tasted just as marvelous. Food like that is worth a weekday day splurge. So glad I got the deviled eggs AND salmon toast.
Staff and food was wonderful. Never have I ever felt so immediately welcomed into a restaurant. I’d return for the hospitality alone but would also recommend eating everything on the menu.
We all loved our brunch/lunch. The food was delicious!!!
Great service and ambiance.
Great dining experience. It’s a dainty restaurant. The service was good. The only bad thing I can think of is that they ran out of chai latte :/
The banana cream pie reminds me of my grandmother. It was great! The food was plated beautifully and the serving size was just enough for me!
The biscuits and home made jam amazing along with pure deliciousness.
Minimal entree choices. Service very low par. Took long time to place order and follow up through meal was almost nonexistent. Never saw the same server/waitstaff more than once.
Red, our server, was a gracious hostess and knows many languages. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again soon.
Chef Graham never disappoints! The deviled eggs were amazing and his take on a banana split was extremely refreshing!
Unbelievable biscuits - really perfect. We go to Overeasy about once a week!
It’s hard to enjoy a first visit when the venue is ice cold. While it was chilly on Christmas afternoon outside, the restaurant and lobby were cold. No solution or apologies were offered, so I visited the front office where they offered to notify the engineer.
My waitress suggested a couple of items and I settled on the steak and eggs, which were surprisingly greasy. The warm potato salad was interesting but not hot enough to be called warm.
The fresh pressed juice was small in size and of questionably authentic sourcing.
It was generally a disappointing first encounter. Probably too soon to be too critical. After reading a review for Thanksgiving and the special menu, today was standard fare.
Terrible experience, the wait staff kept laughing when the had to explain why nothing on their menu could be ordered I.e. we ran out of that; new menu and we don’t offer that yet.
Beautiful looking, just very disappointing!
There were 3 of us looking for a late lunch. We chose this place because it’s located inside The Statler. The decor was excellent as well as our dishes. Our Server’s name is Red. She was perfectly attentive & thoroughly knew the menu. She added a small side of humor & we’ll ask for her every time we go again.
The food was great and so exciting to be back in an historic building.
Went to Overeasy for a girls get together. The place was packed, but they still sat us immediately for our reserved time. The food was incredible! Their drink menu is unique too!! I highly recommend this restaurant!
Wife & I had Sunday brunch. Fantastic: Bavette & Eggs and deviled eggs. Grits great, avocado toast too. A bit of a delay of the 5-Way deviled eggs, but waiter and manager graciously, promptly apologized and made it right. Chef Graham Dodds (as usual) serves some of the best food in Dallas--original and thoughtful conceived and executed-- That's saying a lot considering the talent we have available in this area. Enthusiastically recommend--but secure a reservation as they are rightfully very busy. Can't wait 'til the other food venues at the renovated Statler open if Chef Dodds is in charge of them. Yes, you want to try this place! J.G., Denton, TX
Not your typical hotel diner! High in quality - definitely a "foodie" favorite. Attentive service and friendly staff all around. Their BLT Soup that comes with the grilled cheese is the best I've had. Perfect.
