   Was informed by email 2 hours before our Mother's Day booking that the restaurant could not Honour the booking, this was booked 4 days before and confirmed, this restaurant is renowned in Middlesbrough for its extremely bad service and customer care, this incident only proves it to me, needless to say I will never book this restaurant again

   The food came pretty quick however when we wanted more drinks , of which we had none left thy took around 10 minutes to arrive , whilst we were waiting for these we were asked twice by two more waiters if we required more drinks. We stated we had ordered already. Our empty plates after eating were left for rather a long time on our table and we had to ask for them to be removed, we then asked for the bill which still hadn't arrived 20 minutes later we had to ask for it again and were told it was on its way . This was the only let down about the place .

   A lovely meal with great service. Would highly recommend. Excellent value for money also.

   First visit to The Oven for meal with partner. Sunday evening, seemed quiet. Quick service, friendly staff. Menu varied. Food good and well presented. Good value for money

   The restaurant didn't have our booking, they 'don't do bookings online with open table'! The staff were not organised at all very poor experience will not return to this place

   The need to sort out the booking through open table as when I got there and showed my confirmation of booking they hadn't got a table booked! Ended up managing to get a table in the end.
