    Once again we had a wonderful time here. My husband had the Seafood said, it was huge, lot sof fresh seafood, fresh greens. I had the Chicken Calabrese again, it was so good last time. Great long hot peppers and tender chicken. The other people at our table loved their meals as well, except our friend that got the Chicken Piccata later said it part of it was a little dry and overcooked. One friend had the Gnocci and sausage said was excellent, loved the hot sausage, other fieind got the Pork Powerhouse which he loved, he could not even finish it. Mary was an excellent waitress, very friendly, fast, did not mess up anything! NAd Karen as always is one of the best bartenders

    Service and food were excellent. The wait for our meal was long because of a lack of staffing but I would certainly recommend this restaurant. Have been going to the Ovalon for at least 20 years.

    Was excellent as always. I had the Steak Anti, the steak was tender, the greens etc were fresh and it was huge. My husband had the Shrimp Francese, he loved it. Our relatives that wer with us loved everything also. Angie , our waitress was great as always.

    First time dining at this restaurant. Now we are sorry we didn't make the trip sooner! Our server was very helpful and attentive. Cocktails, appetizer and entrees were spot on! Their homemade bread alone is worth a return trip.

    Have been goin here for over 7 years and it’s always great. It’s an old restaurant with tons of history and an awesome local vibe. It’s the perfect place to go enjoy a great meal with friends and family or just go sit at the bar. Highly recommend

    Ovalon is a very good restaurant and the food is amazing when on an off day. On the weekend unfortunately like all restaurants that are really good there is a major staff shortage. Because of the shortage of staff the food wasn’t as good, the bread wasn’t warm and a little bit stale maybe made much earlier in the day, the French onion tasted like the broth was slightly off possibly was slightly over cooked, the dinner was amazing and so was the salad. I did hear there were only 3 people in the kitchen which definitely was the problem with quality and service. My recommendation if short of staff do not fill the tables to capacity only sit the amount of patrons you can handle. That will keep your dining experience reputation much higher. Though this is a business that is money intensive to run you have to find a balance to accommodate both sides, patrons and business.

    Have been here many times, food quality is always excellent and service is attentive. Our large party (9) ordered a variety of entrees from pastas to steaks and seafood. Desserts were also ordered as well as a variety of drinks from the bar.

    This place has been a family favorite for decades. I’m happy to report that it’s only gotten better: revitalized, exciting, fun… a true renaissance. The menu keeps all the longtime favorites and adds creative new items that will appeal to both the longtime regulars and new diners. The chef has a chance to shine! Your favorite bartender (Carol!) and servers (Karen! Susie!) are there will the appropriate staff level to ensure a great experience. I’m so happy to see this neighborhood institution generate excitement and I look forward to my next meal there.

    This place always has good food, this is the first time we spent New Year’s Eve there. It was very crowded but service was excellent and food came quickly. Prices are a bit high for their location and the bathrooms need upgraded . Overall it’s probably our go to on special occasions.

    Good old standard. Have not been in a long time. Menu was very limited in selection. Too many prom dishes, with no veal. Not enough pastas. The food was great, service was good. Slow in getting food, but still good.

    The service and food was very good. The restaurant is in the run down section of Hazleton and the ambiance is dated. However, the appetizers and main course were very good. Our server was also very good and made good recommendations. We will be visiting again soon.

    Had to park a block away but weather was good so not a big deal. Ordered 3 Cosmo Martinis 2 same(too much Vodka) 1 not even same color but good taste. Thankfully bread basket was given as Server “forgot” to put in order. One would think she would have offered a complimentary appetizer or dessert but just a nonchalant apology. Mentioned it was a bday celebration but nothing special offered/done. Great atmosphere but not worth price.
