Great service and food. A pleasant dining experience.
I’ve been to this restaurant 8-12 times. The food is still good but the menu is now too PRICEY to justify coming back. Three cocktails and three appetizers came to $123 (before tip), really? Sorry but I’ll find another restaurant.
Excellent staff and courteous service
Great wine recommendation from their sommelier. Octopus was so tender, made my birthday very special!
A good place for a special occasion. This was a little on the pricier side but the fish was all cooked perfectly, so we had no complaints on the food. The appetizers were also delicious.
The menu and pictures peaked our interest for date night. We had great apps (mussels and stuffed grape leaves) and entrees (sea bass and lamb shank). The portions were plentiful especially the lamb shank. We would go back.
It was my mother’s 72nd birthday. The restaurant was beautiful the server was excellent and the food was delicious. The price was very high considering the amount of food we are served. The only thing I didn’t care for is being sat by the bar. I reserved a table so that my mother could have a great experience in a quiet setting. It was very loud due to the people at the bar. I don’t think the reservation was acknowledged and ready for us so the hostess basically got us an empty table by the bar.
Nice vibe with great food & drinks. our server was fast and friendly.
The food was well-prepared and tasted great! The portions were very small compared to the price. The wait staff was very attentive and great at their job.
Food was flavorful, service was attentive, French Cuvee' hit the spot. The fresh, homemade hummus platter was to die for. I will be back.
The food was good and fresh, but it was the service that really put Ouzo Bay at the top of our list for restaurants to visit when we return on our next trip to Baltimore. Our server was the BEST, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the whole fish was fresh, yummy, and prepared VERY WELL!!!
Perfect date/birthday night spot!
It was my first time at Ouza Bay. I live in DC but came to spend the night in Baltimore for my friend's birthday. She loves seafood and Ouza has some great options so I made a reservation at 5:30pm for Saturday. We lucked out and found street partying right out front, though we thought the $9 valet was very fair.
Though we arrived ten minutes early, we were seated right away with a great view of the water. We were greeted with a birthday card which was such a nice surprise. Our server, Justin took care of us for two hours. We started off with a drink each, Phane's Poison and Mad & Minotaur, both recommended by Justin which were delicious, not too sweet and just tart enough. For our appetizer we got daily ceviche which was fresh fresh fresh and oh so yummy! Oh wait, I forgot the bread they serve when you first get there. That was good, too. One was raisin bread which was a nice surprise.
We probably could've stopped after the drinks and appetizer but of course we ordered entrees. She got the Bronzino, bones in, adding truffle lobster which literally melted in your mouth. I got the scallops which were tasty though I could have done without the pea purée (not a pea fan). We went in with the sides, ordering grilled asparagus, Greek Lima beans (probably my fave appetizer which is crazy because I did not expect these to be good), and truffle Mac and cheese. Oh my goodness, everything was amazing!
We ordered one more drink and Justin surprised the birthday girl with a generous piece of baklava and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on a pistachio crust. I am a tough cookie so to be this impressed the entire meal is unlike me but everything was truly perfect.
Thank you Ouza for making her birthday dinner wonderful!
Enjoyed the night at Ouzo bay, food was good. Wasn’t very excited with their lobster pasta wasn’t as tasty as I thought. Overall a good outing.
The restaurant is beautiful. The food was plated well. It was a great time.
Excellent and authentic Greek cuisine coupled with wonderful fresh fish and lamb entrees.
I’ve never written a review on Open Table previously, but I am compelled to do so after our dinner this evening at Ouzo Bay. I want to recognize and sincerely thank our server, Gerry, for his absolutely outstanding service to us tonight. He was friendly, personable and efficient. He offered menu and drink suggestions that turned out to be perfect. Here’s an example of something he did that we have never experienced in a restaurant: my wife asked a couple questions about the lemon orzo soup. He went to the kitchen and brought her out a small dish to try first, to see if she would like to order it, or would prefer something else. When have you ever been to a restaurant where your server offered you a sample from the menu to make sure that you would be happy with your selection? Our dinners were outstanding as usual, which has always been our experience here. After our entrees we decided to try an ouzo and asked Gerry for a recommendation. He brought us each a glass that he suggested, and surprised us by saying they are on the house. We had a wonderful evening because of the terrific food and the superlative service provided to us by Gerry. We will certainly return, and will try to request a table where he is working. Thank you Gerry!
Dinner with friends
I had an overall good experience for my birthday dinner
Food was excellent, service impeccable. We had great view of the marina from our table as well. We would definitely recommend checking this place out!
The food was absolutely incredible. We tried and shared multiple dishes and each one was amazing. Beautiful outdoor seating. One of my new favorite restaurants
Good food, great location. We had brunch but will go back for dinner and try the fresh seafood.
First time at Ouzo Bay but have been to several Atlas restaurants before. Food was and service was very good but we ordered a few drinks on there list that they did not have and appetizers that they where out of which at this level of restaurant and price point should not be the case. Overall was a great night!
It was our anniversary dinner and I believe we got a brand new server and by far worst table in the place. We were seated and then over 15 minutes later I was able to flag down the sommelier. Luckily he was excellent. We got a nice bottle of wine and then got our server. It was a cold experience. The table behind us was served a drink he didn't want but was told it was the drink he ordered.
The sommelier continually made our experience better and the waiter made it worse. The sommelier somehow gave us an anniversary card and champagne. That was amazing.
The night started very poor and ended pleasantly. We won't go back nor will we recommend this establishment.
Of note the bar tender/mixologist we would recommend. Sit at the bar...not at a table.
This is a great place for a couple-- not so great for a group. The noise level is really high (outside is better). It's almost impossible to chat with anyone that is not right next to you. Our server missed some of our apps possibly due to the high noise level and possibly due to she seemed pretty blase and did not repeat the order back. I've been here many times but mostly as a couple at the bar. Also it's really expensive, so if you are taking out a group for an occasion, be prepared to pay $100+ per person (we didn't even have dessert).
As a special place for a couple--- it's fabulous. Be sure to order the saganaki and the trio of dips. For the fish-- the branzino is the best.
The dining experience at Ouzo Bay exceeded my expectations. The service, food, fantastic ambience were all perfect. The cup of decaf coffee at the end was just a fantastic punctuation to delicious grilled vegetables, brussels sprouts salad, flambeau cheese, and Bronzino. I was a little concerned it would be noisy, based on a review, But zero issue on noise. Granted, this was a Monday night, a slow time generally, but there was lots of open space and the music was great and definitely not overbearing in any way for me. There was a nice wide open view due to being at the waterfront, and a feeling of openness as well as very contemporary and beautifully appointed decor. I would run back here.
Jose Chilla provided best service and recommendations.
It was our anniversary dinner after seeing a comedy show. The food could not have been more perfect with the standout being the zucchini and eggplant chips — crunchy and so tasty — followed closely by the charred squid! The host was great from the start and the Cava Brut was bubbly and bright. The only let down was the baclava — too much syrup made it very hard to eat and overly sweet.
The tables inside were not exactly spaced for social distancing and it gets so loud its hard to converse to people at your table. The food and service were both excellent.
Food was outstanding and our waiter gave us excellent recommendations!
The food was excellent, the waitstaff knew the menu well and were very attentive. The wine was affordable and good quality.
Sat outside such a great evening, fantastic fish!
Me and my boyfriend came here for Sunday brunch and it was amazing! The service was outstanding and after our waitress checked my ID, she saw it was my birthday a few days ago and wrote out a birthday card for me! I ordered the berry french toast and my boyfriend ordered a burger. Both our dishes were so large we couldn’t finish them but they were delicious! The windows were wide open where we sat so we enjoyed a nice breeze while we ate, but were inside where it was shady and cool so we got the best of both worlds! We will definitely be returning for dinner sometime :)
Great service, delicious food awesome environment. Overall, high-quality of sophistication.
Simply amazing Greek speciality items prepared just like your YiaYia used to prepare along with fresh fish exquisitely prepared.
Beautiful restaurant and our waitress was lovely. There was a party at the bar and the noise level/music was so loud it was obnoxious.
The waitress literally had to scream the specials at us.
Food was good but no where near as good as the prices they charged. We’re from NYC and are not afraid to pay high prices but the cost was out of control for good-not great- food.
$89 for one lobster tail
$68 for an 8oz filet mignon- literally more expensive than Del Friscos in midtown Manhattan.
Too many other good spots in Baltimore to go back here.
Grilled vegetables very tasty
Good red & white wine selection… nice Albariño
Location and Ambiente along waterfront like Mediterranean
But at these prices fish has to be fresh through and through!
The food was amazing, I will recommend you to go there it’s very nice restaurant and all the staff are very nice.
Food and service is always impeccable! I can't wait to return soon.
The ambiance is really what sells this place! The food honestly isn’t the greatest but, the views and ambiance make up for it! We ordered the lamb meatballs, lamb chops, Chilean sea bass, lobster Mac and cheese, grilled veggies, asparagus, Kona Kampachi (raw), the brownie sundae, fried donuts, and for cocktails- rose all day, Zeus shape shifter and phanes poison. I would avoid the lamb. It was very very gamey. I have had lamb prepared by many restaurants where due to the marinade and other steps in preparation, the lamb was not gamey. This was not the case. The lamb chops were too gamey to eat. The lamb meatballs were extremely gamey as well. My Chilean sea bass was not flavorful and was over cooked to the point it was rubbery. The lobster Mac and cheese was amazing! Would definitely recommend. I could’ve done without the grilled veggies. The asparagus was.. asparagus. You can’t really mess that up. The Kona Kampachi was a raw fish. I am comfortable eating raw fish but I prefer when lemon or lime is offered to sort of “cook” the fish. The fish was served on an unseasoned plate of oil with mandarin oranges. The flavor palette was not appetizing. The brownie sundae was extremely underwhelming. It was basically a store bought brownie barely warm with one sad looking scoop of ice cream. The only drink that seemed well mixed was the rose all day but the bartender filled ice to the rim of a wine glass prior to pouring drink. Not really worth $20. I was excited to try this place and absolutely loved the appearance and the vibe and the music! Would not recommend going to their dinner. If they have a brunch, I’d probably recommend the brunch (because you can’t really mess up brunch food)
