Terrific choice especially after film at the Landmark on 57th :-)
A pleasant, convivial place with good Greek food and good service. Its main charm, however, is the convenient location next to the Landmark movie theater.
Outstanding service, food, ambiance
Food and wait staff always great. Others ... not so much.
It was a reunion of sorts for me and 2 good friends both of them are foodies and have been wanting to share Ousia with them. They were kind enough to let me do the ordering including desert. The meal was spectacular and our waitperson was terrific, she has waited on me a few times before and I find her delightful, very knowledgeable and easy.
We had the price fix lunch after a movie at Landmark. The salad was fabulous and the salmon souvlaki was done to perfection.
Loved the brunch choices! Food was prepared tastefully and colorfully. Service was attentive and seating spacious and comfortable. Will go back for dinner!
A wonderful restaurant, a hidden gem.
Wow! We needed a restaurant close to Terminal 5 and so lucky we found Ousia. The M'D acknowledged we had a show from our reservation and so did Sara our Server. Sara was amazing, pleasant to speak with, expert with the menu, made great recommendations, and watched the time. My husband loved the arctic char; I had the artichoke soup (laced with truffle oil, oh yesssss) and cauliflower falafel maybe simple but with sensational twists. The freshest ingredients and creative flavors take you to a culinary delight of another level, along with the presentation. The space is airy and transportive (we felt like we were on vacation) with lovely tile and wood accents and just the right level of background music. We can't wait to return. PS. Oh the Baklava!
Our go to far West restaurant. We love the Greek Mediterranean vibe. We always have the spreads and the flatbreads. The halvah mousse is to die for.
Wonderful Mediterranean restaurant across from The MAC on 57th street. Loved the mussels in goat cheese broth and fried.
Terrific as usual
Delicious food, kind service, nice atmosphere, good experience
Tastless food, Greek salad was small and tasteless, octopus was flavorless, saganaki was good. Ultra expensive for the experience. Choose elsewhere
Bleh food. Meatballs were mealy. Feta saganaki wasn’t cooked enough. And overpriced.
The service was slow...really slow although I liked the waitstaff...
The location is out of the way but because of that you have plenty of space without the tables being on top of each other. Very pleasant ambiance. We met with friends whom we have not seen in a long time and having time to talk in a pleasant and non-rushed environment was paramount for the enjoyment of the evening. Food was enjoyable albeit not memorable. However keep in mind that we are European and we vacation in Greece on a regular basis so, in our opinion, the food was not terribly authentic but it was well prepared and beautifully presented. I consider this restaurant a very good value with a welcoming ambiance. It served the particularly purpose of our visit.
Delicious food in a lovely setting, with great service. Highly recommended!
Great wait staff! And speedy, too. Really, really marvelous food at moderate prices. Maitre d' screwed up our reservation and did not report to OT that we were there, obligating my having to answer back that in fact we WERE there. Great spot after seeing a film at LANDMARK.
Menu is quite inventive and interesting. Ingredients outstanding and everything was cooked to perfection. The owners are very attentive and hands-on.
Great food! Great service!
Very good Greek food. Great wine. Great service. Initially, the maitre d’ tried to place us in a table right by the kitchen door. He changed it at our request. Only unfortunate part of our experience.
Enjoyed a lovely lunch after seeing a film next door! The space is very nice! Will definitely come back for drinks & dinner.
Very good food, friendly efficient service, comfortable room. Very pleasant experience. Perfect when going to a movie next door.
Very nice modern restaurant, prices are mid range... good service... will recommend
A surprise in an underserved area. Conveniently near the Landmark movie theater. Very nice ambiance, service and food. Will definitely go again.
This is a wonderful restaurant with very diverse menu. Great wine list and attentive service.
Good local spot when seeing a movie at the Landmark.
The atmosphere at Ouisa is bright and uplifting. Went on a Sunday night to find a fairly full restaurant. Got water and complimentary breads to start. Slight delay in getting our waitress but after 10 mins it was smooth sailing. Service was good. Decent Greek red wine was a nice surprise. Pan roasted chicken, hummus, gnocchi, French fries and meatballs were all very good. Falafel was dry and unflavorful. All in all, a good experience. We would come back again.
Outstanding service. Beautiful restaurant. Close to home. I had the salmon club special. Perfect. I really like this place.
Party of six and we each had a different dish. Scallops , roast chicken were deemed the best. Vegetarian dishes were smaller than expected. Taste was excellent.
Service friendly and we were seated at a round table which made conversation easier.
Discounted parking next door a plus
Fresh and Delicious as usual!
We had a delightful brunch. The service was outstanding and the space very pleasant — light and airy. The kitchen was amenable to customizing our order and got everything right. The restaurant was quite empty when we were there, which may account for the great service and low noise level, but we would certainly make a return visit the next time we see a show at the theater next door.
Ousia was a welcome surprise. This far west midtown neighborhood can now claim an excellent restaurant. Located near the new Landmark 57 movie complex this colorfully designed Greek restaurant served up wonderful food satisfying four hungry patrons. The roast chicken was truly perfect. Crispy skin with very moist, tender meat. The dips, bread, mac and cheese and burger all unique and delicious. Baklava and ice cream completed the meal. My compliments to the wait staff who could not be more accommodating.
It was such a pleasure to be in a restaurant with a crowd that was so "adult." No one was taking pictures of themselves or their food. I may ago to the Landmark 57 more often, knowing there's good food afterward.
Prompt excellent service, the wine recommendation was outstanding, and the Greek fare had an upscale appearance and flavor.
Excellent food, friendly staff, large and elegant dining room :)
